Chapter 286 Vacation World. (11)

After receiving the invitation, Qiao Zhen finished all her recent work. She continued to take care of Ming Li as usual, but work required time, so the time she spent with Ming Li was drastically reduced. Fortunately, Ming Li was sensible and considerate.

"Lili, I'm going on a business trip for a month. You have to behave yourself, okay?" Qiao Zhen packed her clothes and some cosmetics, neatly placing them in her suitcase.

Mingli sat cross-legged on Qiao Zhen's bed, her eyes following Qiao Zhen. "Where are you going?"

"The capital of the United States." Qiao Zhen felt Ming Li's burning gaze, looked at him with amusement, raised his hand to rub his head, and pretended to tease him, "If things go smoothly this time, I might quit my job here."

Mingli nodded thoughtfully, "You focus on your work, I'll take good care of myself. You have your wings, and there's a place you want to fly to. When I grow up, I'll fly to you."

Qiao Zhen smiled with a hint of helplessness, "Where did you see that line in, novel?"

Mingli's fair cheeks flushed slightly, and he said somewhat shyly, "I saw it in the synopsis of 'Good Morning, My Dear Xu'." His tone was a little hurried, "Although I learned the words from the synopsis, my feelings are genuine!"

He didn't want to experience that loneliness of ten thousand years again. He and Qiao Zhen were both from the Celestial Realm, from the same plane, so he would honestly accept his true feelings. As for social status, he didn't care; otherwise, he might have remained single for life. After all, his status in the Celestial Realm was unattainable for most.

"Okay, okay, it's true." She checked the clothes and cosmetics in her suitcase. "I really hope that when I come back, I'll see that you've fallen for someone else."

Mingli felt a little annoyed by her words and retorted, "If there wasn't an age gap between us, would you be with me?"

Qiao Zhen shrugged; she wasn't interested in such unnecessary assumptions. "Who knows?"

At three o'clock in the morning, Qiao Zhen got up quietly and headed to the United States with her suitcase.

Mingli is a light sleeper. Even though Qiao Zhen moved very quietly, he was still awakened by the rustling sound. He heard the door locking itself and whispered, "Come back soon."

Of course, Joe really couldn't hear.

Mingli also began to work on his own affairs.

His trusted confidant, Woka, was very efficient. In just three days, he obtained Mingli's exact location. Just when Mingli was losing patience, Woka finally infiltrated the kindergarten's teaching staff.

Woka and Mingli sat on the orange bench in the kindergarten, staring at each other.

Mingli, somewhat helpless, could only break the silence, "As you can see." After a moment of silence, he asked, "How's the situation on your end?"

Woka stared intently at Mingli, "Bo Bo Bo Bo Si! What happened to you?"

Mingli's beautiful eyebrows furrowed together. "The Vitor family uses forbidden techniques. As for what kind of forbidden techniques, you'll need to send someone to infiltrate the Vitor family to find out. I'll give you a month. If I'm still like this after a month, you'll know the consequences."

If these words came from Mingzhao's sharp eyes or his thin, chiseled lips, they would have been incredibly powerful. But to hear them from the mouth of Mingli, a three-year-old child, was simply unimaginable.

Woka didn't dare to mess with Mingli. After all, he knew all too well how terrifying his boss was. Even though Mingzhao had been tricked and was now forced to pretend to be a child in kindergarten and changed his name to Mingli, he still didn't dare to be naughty.

Mingli's kindergarten life has become much easier recently because of Woka's arrival. He no longer needs to play in the sand with those little kids and deceive himself into thinking that it's a bizarre ritual of roasting thighs and then drooling.

Qiao Zhen's competition in the United States went very smoothly. After all, the competition was attended by top designers from well-known companies, whose creativity and ideas were diverse. This put a lot of pressure on Qiao Zhen, who was a free spirit.

Whether it was good luck or something else, Qiao Zhen happened to see a park bench while strolling in the park, and inspiration struck her instantly. She immediately took out her easel and brushes from her bag and began to transfer her ideas onto paper. "A bit monotonous..."

It's a minimalist style.

Three hours later, after she had finished making some revisions, she packed up her easel, paper, and pens, and was about to leave with her bag when she saw an elderly man suffering a sudden heart attack, struggling to breathe and leaning on a chair. Qiao Zhen immediately ran over to help the old man, "Are you alright?"

"The medicine...the medicine is in my pocket..." the old man said with great difficulty, trying to remind Qiao Zhen.

Qiao Zhen reached into the old man's pocket and pulled out two medicine bottles. Looking at the foreign language labels, she poured a few pills from one bottle and put them in the old man's mouth. Then she took a bottle of mineral water from her backpack and handed it to him. "How are you? Are you feeling any better?"

The old man's breathing gradually calmed down. "I'm sorry, it's an old problem. Did I scare you?"

Qiao Zhen helped the old man sit on the bench. "It's alright," she said, trying to sound casual. "It would have been scary if you hadn't been carrying your medication with you."

The old man's gaze fell on the easel behind Qiao Zhen. "Are you a painter?"

Qiao Zhen shook her head. "No, I'm a designer. I suddenly had an inspiration and started drawing right here. It was just a coincidence that I saw you just as I was about to leave."

The old man asked her, "Do you know who I am?"

Qiao Zhen tilted her head, her mind full of question marks, "Are you Mo Ruotuo?"

The old man patted his knees a few times. "Do I look like one? I'm not Mo Ruo Tuo."
