“Yuan Zhao?” Qiao Zhen asked, deliberately bringing up the very thing she didn’t want to hear. “What? You’re not scared anymore? Look at you, you’re so timid. The knife hasn’t even touched you yet, and you’re already scared like a quail. You’re not even as good as Yuan Zhao.”
Yuan Zhao knew she was referring to the Jiang family's affairs. He was slightly surprised and asked, "Are you helping me?"
Qiao Zhen rolled her eyes and retorted, "Otherwise what?"
Yuan Zhao's eyelids drooped, and the contours of his face appeared unexpectedly soft in the moonlight. "Why should I believe you?"
Qiao Zhen chuckled and waved her hand, "Uncle Jiang! Thank you for what you did last time!"
Yuan Zhao followed Qiao Zhen's gaze and saw Jiang Leshi talking to someone.
When Jiang Leshi heard Qiao Zhen call him, he put down the wine in his hand, walked to Qiao Zhen's side, and first bowed politely, "Young Master Zhao, how have you been? Please don't take what happened before to heart. My niece begged me to cooperate with her in a play. I hope I didn't scare you, Young Master Zhao?"
Qiao Zhen chuckled. Yuan Zhao was more than just frightened; he was so frightened that his alternate personality came out. But Qiao Zhen still had to give him the respect he deserved. "Yes, yes, yes." Jiang Leshi slapped his forehead and hurriedly left.
