Qiao Zhen withdrew her hand, pretending not to have noticed the hint, and then waited for the old woman to finish picking the vegetables before the two of them went down the mountain.
The old woman lived at the foot of the north side of Lanshou Mountain, in Heye Village. After Qiao Zhen got off the bus, she quietly took a bag of Jade Rabbit milk candy from her suitcase and put it in the basket of her bicycle.
"Let's go back to Kyoto." Qiao Zhen took a taxi directly to the airport with Chu Zhao. After all, one hand can't fight four fists. If the instructors from Lan Shou Mountain were to come, Qiao Zhen would be powerless and might even lose both his wife and his troops.
Chu Zhao bought a cup of milk tea and waited while drinking it. He deliberately spilled the milk tea on the plane ticket. While he was frantically wiping the ticket with a tissue, he accidentally tore it in two. He lowered his head in frustration.
Qiao Zhen unfolded dozens of plane tickets in her hand. "Tear them up as much as you want. I bought tickets for ten days. I have nothing but money. Besides, you don't have an ID card, so you can only take the train or bus. Can't you behave yourself?"
The implication is that we should keep our own paths separate; I'll take a plane while you take a train or bus.
Chu Zhao lowered his head and stopped speaking.
Qiao Zhen thought he had settled down, so she deliberately took out five red bills from her wallet and said, "Here, this is what your sister is helping you out."
Chu Zhao silently looked up at Qiao Zhen, feeling inexplicably wronged, "No."
Qiao Zhen forcefully stuffed the red bill into his hand, and said casually, "What do you mean you don't want it? Aren't you amazing? Just take the train back to Kyoto, it'll only take three or four days."
Chu Zhao's transformation these days has been astonishing. From a punk rocker with all sorts of bizarre ideas to a mainstream male god, he changed in just half a month.
Whether that bizarre idea was completely rejected or buried in her heart, Qiao Zhen had no idea.
Chu Zhao silently accepted Qiao Zhen's strategy of splitting up with him, and then clenched the red bill in his right hand.
Qiao Zhen looked up at his expression and saw that he was staring at the red banknotes with a dark gaze, which gave her a chilling feeling. She had encountered a psychologically twisted monarch in an ancient world before, so she was very familiar with this kind of look.
She couldn't let Chu Zhao wallow in his depressed mood.
"Let's go buy tickets. They don't have the necessary permits, and with the station packed with people, there's no way they'll find us."
Chu Zhao suddenly looked up, a smile spreading across his face. He looked content, like a child who had just received a beloved toy.
Qiao Zhen led Chu Zhao to a taxi stand, and when they arrived at the station, they saw a man in a dark green military uniform standing at the entrance. "Let's go, let's go to the barbershop first."
Qiao Zhen got a perm and took out some cosmetics from her suitcase. She was very skilled in makeup, one of the three great sorceries of the East, so her originally aloof face was now extremely sexy.
Originally, Qiao Zhen's face was bare of makeup, like a girl next door. But now she has full lips in a classic deep red, her skin is smooth and white with two layers of foundation, her eyebrows are thicker than before, and even her slightly upturned eyeliner makes her eyes look charming and alluring.
Qiao Zhen winked at Chu Zhao, "This suitcase is too ugly, can you buy me another one?"
Chu Zhao obediently replied, "I have no money."
"..." The young man was too straightforward. Qiao Zhen rolled her eyes. "Shut up, or you'll be even tighter to me later."
After changing her appearance, Qiao Zhen took Chu Zhao to a bag store and bought an extra-large suitcase. Then, she led Chu Zhao to avoid the cameras and into the women's restroom of the hotel.
Inside the compartment, Qiao Zhen and Chu Zhao stared at each other, and she unconsciously lowered her voice, "Shrink into your suitcase, hurry up."
Chu Zhao dawdled as he packed his suitcase, with Qiao Zhen's makeup bag, a wig, and a skirt tucked between his bent knees.
"Are you done?" Qiao Zhen looked at Chu Zhao's slightly messy hair and his aggrieved and unwilling expression, and was afraid of touching a certain spot on him, so she softened her voice and coaxed, "Don't worry, I'll let you out once you get into the station."
Chu Zhao felt that he might be seriously ill. He felt wronged by Qiao Zhen being stuck in the suitcase. Instead of really blaming her, he felt a strange sense of glee, but he didn't reject this feeling.
Qiao Zhen closed her suitcase, then dragged the suitcase carrying Chu Zhao out. She easily slipped into the station and then went to the restroom to release Chu Zhao.
"well enough?"
Chu Zhao climbed out and stretched his limbs, nodding slightly.
Qiao Zhen didn't understand what he meant either. She simply handed the dress and wig from the suitcase to Chu Zhao and then belatedly asked, "By the way, don't regular buses require real-name registration?"
Chu Zhao stared blankly at Qiao Zhen, "No need, real-name registration will be implemented next year."
Qiao Zhen breathed a sigh of relief, "You're lucky, otherwise you would have been doomed."
Chu Zhao said with genuine reluctance, "No, I don't want it."
"My goodness, is this the time for us to choose? Come on, let's leave as soon as possible and take off your skirt. If it weren't for your very distinctive face, would I have resorted to such a desperate measure?" Qiao Zhen immediately and forcefully pulled off Chu Zhao's shirt and pants. His pants were still dark green military pants. Qiao Zhen touched something hard and angular, and her expression froze.
Chu Zhao pushed Qiao Zhen's hand aside with an unchanged expression, her eyes flickering slightly.
Qiao Zhen was determined to take the contents out of his pocket. Inside Chu Zhao's pocket was his wallet, containing his ID card, bank cards, driver's license, and banknotes. She licked her lips to calm her raging anger, and then irritably ran her fingers through her long hair.
After a long pause, she asked wearily, "What are you thinking? Chu Zhao, tell me what you're really thinking? If you don't want to leave, you can stay here by yourself. I... I have no obligation to play this cat-and-mouse game with you here."
