Qiao Zhen put Chu Zhao down, then grabbed his arm and stepped over the burly men to leave.
Standing at the window of Qiao Zhen's room on the second floor, Gu Chen looked down at the two figures fleeing in haste, a strange smile playing on his lips. "Truly interesting people. Why is someone so interesting, yet belonging to Chu Zhao?"
Qiao Zhen took Chu Zhao to the station to buy tickets to Q City, and then the two of them embarked on their escape again. She never expected that they would end up in such a miserable state, so neither of them had eaten anything yet. She took out a chocolate from her pocket and handed it to Chu Zhao, "Have something to eat to tide you over. I'm going to take a nap first."
Chu Zhao took the chocolate, then placed Qiao Zhen's head on his shoulder. He held the chocolate tightly. "I'm sorry, I was just overreacting and alerted them."
Qiao Zhen suddenly remembered the three words Chu Zhao had blurted out at the window earlier, and she instantly widened her eyes and asked, "What does 'heartless woman' mean??"
Chu Zhao was somewhat embarrassed, so he decided to go all out and said, "You rescued me, so you have to take responsibility for me! Of course, you've done me a favor, so I'm willing to repay you with my body!"
Qiao Zhen looked at Chu Zhao, whose face was flushed, and found him quite adorable. However, she said coldly, "Young man, we are not suitable for each other."
Chu Zhao's face was a little pale; he couldn't deny that he was extremely nervous. "Why? Our families have been friends for generations, and a marriage alliance would be a very good choice.
