Chapter 86 Sorrow Flows Like a Sea (27 Sorrows, The End)

After finishing dealing with Anle's affairs, Qiao Zhen quickly handed over the company's affairs to Zhao Rou. Yes, that's the Zhao Rou who usually looks very quiet, but becomes particularly irritable and swears fiercely when playing games.

After returning to the Wen family, Qiao Zhen decided to tell them everything.

"Dad, Chu Zhao and I are together."

"Bang!"

The antique teacup in Wen's father's hand shattered with a crash. He looked at Qiao Zhen in astonishment, "What? You're with Chu Zhao?"

Qiao Zhen nodded hesitantly but firmly, "Yes, I'll be going to the US in a few days."

Wen's father knew he had just lost his temper, but honestly, what would happen to his daughter if she regained her memories after what Chu Zhao had done to her? No one knows what would happen if she found out she had fallen for the man who raped her.

Moreover, Chu Zhao is somewhat stubborn. As a young man, he didn't know how to hide his true self. Now that he has been through the ups and downs of the business world, how could the simple-minded Qiao Zhen (Wen's father's personal understanding) possibly see through him?

"I disagree!"

Wen's father spoke in a rather forceful tone.

Qiao Zhen was somewhat puzzled. When Chu Zhao slept with her, she thought that Wen's father would think it was a good thing after he found out that she was with Chu Zhao.

This reveals Qiao Zhen's somewhat simple-minded and single-minded nature.

"Why?" Qiao Zhen asked casually.

The news came too suddenly. Wen's father hadn't had time to find out about Chu Zhao's dark past. Someone as unscrupulous as Chu Zhao couldn't possibly be clean.

Mr. Wen said earnestly, "Do you know why that child went abroad in the first place? That matter is too complicated. Zhenzhen, there is a great risk to your happiness if you stay with him."

Qiao Zhen rolled her eyes, disregarding her image.

After their conversation, Wen's father intentionally limited the number of times Qiao Zhen could go out and even set a curfew at 10 o'clock.

Moreover, Wen's father also cut off the internet at home, like an elderly father preventing his high school daughter from having a relationship too early.

Chu Zhao stared at his phone and computer every day, eagerly waiting for Qiao Zhen to send him a message, but he didn't receive a single message for a whole week.

Chu Zhao couldn't sit still any longer. He returned to China overnight and climbed over the wall into Qiao Zhen's room.

As soon as Qiao Zhen entered the room, she heard faint breathing. She picked up a lamp and pretended to fiddle with the switch. When the person lunged at her, she suddenly turned around and smashed the lamp at him.

"Bang!"

Chu Zhao swayed a few times before collapsing to the ground.

Qiao Zhen stared wide-eyed at the person in front of her, hurriedly scooped him up and placed him on the bed. She had just slammed him hard under the neck, hoping she hadn't hurt him.

Chu Zhao slept for two hours. When she woke up, she saw Qiao Zhen sitting on a chair by the bed. "Hmm..."

His neck hurt terribly, and Chu Zhao struggled to get up, making quite a noise.

Qiao Zhen, who was engrossed in reading, finally looked up and preemptively asked, "Who gave you the audacity to barge into my room?"

Chu Zhao touched his nose and looked at Qiao Zhen awkwardly, but he seemed to have thought of something, and there was an easily noticeable grievance on his face, "You didn't call me, and you didn't even send me a message."

Qiao Zhen closed the book, then raised an eyebrow, stood up and walked towards him, "So it's my fault?"

She didn't notice the pen that had fallen to the ground when she hit Chu Zhao. Qiao Zhen slipped and fell onto the bed.

Just as Chu Zhao stood up, Qiao Zhen tackled him back down. He blushed and said, "Zhenzhen, isn't this a bit inappropriate?"

The door was suddenly flung open, and Wen's father, seeing Qiao Zhen forcibly taking advantage of Chu Zhao, flew into a rage. "Wen Zhen! Get up right now!"

Qiao Zhen silently got up, then, like a naughty child waiting to be scolded by her parents, although she was now an old woman approaching thirty, she had the heart of a seventeen or eighteen-year-old.

Wen's father also had the heart of a daughter who was only seventeen or eighteen years old. He glared at Qiao Zhen a few times, then looked at Chu Zhao: "Come with me."

Chu Zhao straightened his clothes, then gave Qiao Zhen a reassuring look before following Wen's father to the study for a late-night chat.

He came out with a bruised and swollen face, and his eyes were also dark, which showed how cruelly his father had treated him.

Qiao Zhen looked at Chu Zhao, who had evolved into a pig's head, and burst out laughing without any restraint. "Hahahaha, do you want to go out for a stroll? Your pretty girlfriends will definitely turn heads more often than before!"

Chu Zhao just smiled helplessly. Getting beaten up wasn't so bad, and Wen's father no longer stopped Qiao Zhen from seeing him, so he felt that this choice was worthwhile.

So Qiao Zhen returned to her life of eating, drinking, and having fun. As a well-informed old woman, she knew far more tricks than those spoiled young men. In addition, the Wen and Chu families held a pivotal position in the business world, so Qiao Zhen had recently become quite arrogant in the capital.

But things don't always go as planned. Gu Chen's older brother, Gu Shen, takes a liking to Qiao Zhen and pursues her intensely despite her already having a boyfriend.

Qiao Zhen knew perfectly well that Gu Shen was plotting revenge against her. Gu Chen had a congenital heart condition, but many people didn't know that. Gu Chen died two years ago. On his deathbed, he hoped that Qiao Zhen would marry him, not for any other reason than to spite Chu Zhao.

However, Qiao Zhen was not the kind of person who would do things casually, so she refused him firmly and righteously. Gu Chen left with regret, and he did not die in peace.

Because of the Gu family's doting on Gu Chen, after Gu Chen's death, Gu Shen asked his assistant to pursue Qiao Zhen on his behalf. Their interactions were like a pool of spring water, occasionally causing ripples, but nothing that would cause anyone to take it to heart.
