Chapter Sixty-Seven: Sorrow Flows Backwards into the Sea (8)

After two weeks of blissful existence, the moment Qiao Zhen stepped out of the exam hall, she felt no more backache or leg pain, had a great appetite, and felt incredibly healthy.

As for college applications, of course I'll fill in the school Chu Zhao attends, otherwise how can I properly train him?

After the holiday, Qiao Zhen packed her bags and went straight to the original owner's uncle's place. The original owner's uncle was a mid-level military officer. Strangely, the original owner's cousin had a higher rank than his uncle, so fierce fights between the "military officer father and son" often occurred in their family.

Qiao Zhen was used to traveling alone, and she happened to have a key to her uncle's house, so she forgot to call ahead. She dragged her suitcase, with Chu Chu sitting on it, munching on fruit and melon seeds.

【I'm so tired. I ran around so many times just to get your luggage checked in. Why can you sit down while I'm still walking all this way?!】

"Alas!" [Because of love.]

【Shut up!】

Qiao Zhen stood on the road. She was at the foot of the mountain, while the original owner's uncle appeared halfway up the mountain. This area was inhabited by wealthy and powerful people, so there was no point in relying on taxis or buses.

But she wanted to prove to the heavens that she would never admit defeat!

Qiao Zhen stood by the roadside and waved to the vehicles coming up the mountain, but no one paid any attention to her. So she walked up the mountain while keeping an eye on the vehicles coming up.

I'm so annoyed! I knew I shouldn't have played that mobile game. My phone's dead too. Is she going to have to camp out on the mountain tonight?!

"Wenzhen?"

Qiao Zhen turned her head in surprise and saw Gu Chen sitting in a car. However, the car was facing downhill, so her smile immediately fell. "Hello, Gu Chen."

Gu Chen said jokingly, "Gu Chen when there's trouble, Gu classmate when there's nothing to do. You're so realistic."

Qiao Zhen chuckled, "Otherwise, am I supposed to live in a dream?" She dragged her suitcase and continued walking up the mountain.

Gu Chen spoke to the people in the car, then got out and jogged over to Qiao Zhen. "Do you need any help?"

Qiao Zhen said with a sense of despair, "Could you carry me, my little squirrel, and my suitcase up to the mountainside?"

Gu Chen touched his nose, the atmosphere slightly awkward. "Why don't you be a little more polite with me? How am I supposed to just turn around and leave like this?"

Qiao Zhen glared at the person who was kicking her while she was down. "You'd better stay in your dream world," she said angrily, then dragged her suitcase and ran up the mountain.

She has the willpower to wear down stone, what is she afraid of?

The man with a rugged face in the driver's seat opened the window and said, "Get in."

Gu Chen waved his hand, "Brother, I have something to do, you go first."

The man simply rolled up the car window, started the car, and drove away.

Gu Chen chased Qiao Zhen all the way to the mountainside, and he was so tired that he couldn't straighten up. "Wait, wait for me."

Qiao Zhen turned to look at Gu Chen, whose face was pale, and felt that something might be wrong with him, or that his physical condition was too poor. But since he had chased after her to get up here, Qiao Zhen had no choice but to carry him on her back and continue climbing, picking up a stick for support along the way.

Even in the sweltering summer heat, they were quite miserable. The most carefree was the squirrel, perched on Qiao Zhen's shoulder, with Gu Chen providing shade for it.

"Gu Chen, are you alright?" Qiao Zhen was also very impressed with herself. She was a girl who was only 1.75 meters tall, but she managed to carry a boy who was over 1.8 meters tall up the mountain.

Gu Chen lay listlessly on Qiao Zhen's back, struggling to open his eyes. "It's alright."

Qiao Zhen simply threw down her suitcase and lifted Gu Chen up with her hands. "You, a grown man, I was counting on you to carry me up. You're too delicate. If it weren't for this rough old woman, would you have lost your life here today?"

"If I had known you were like this, Wenzhen, I wouldn't have gotten out of the car to chase after you." Gu Chen rested his head on Qiao Zhen's shoulder and wrapped his arms around her neck. "Don't drop me."

"I fucking want to throw you off!" She said this so viciously, but Qiao Zhen still carefully carried Gu Chen on her back. "Don't talk..."

Gu Chen tilted his head and then kissed Qiao Zhen's pink lips. "Kiss you."

"Damn it! Shut up, save your energy, you idiot!" Qiao Zhen was so angry at this idiot that she let go of Gu Chen's hand, wiped her mouth, and continued panting as she climbed the mountain. "Where's your phone?"

"In my pocket."

"Bang!"

Qiao Zhen threw Gu Chen down, saying, "Why didn't you say you had a phone earlier? Did you enjoy watching me carry you all that trouble?"

After a moment of thought, Gu Chen nodded solemnly, "I'm very happy and it feels great."

Without saying a word, Qiao Zhen started grabbing the phone, but there was a decryption pattern. "Quick, unlock it, and I won't beat you up, otherwise, hmph."

Gu Chen's fingertip slid across the screen and then unlocked it. Oh, there was a numerical password behind the security pattern. "I don't remember."

Damn it! Qiao Zhen didn't want to see Gu Chen at all; it was giving her a terrible headache. She directly pressed a string of numbers, 2, and luckily, it solved the puzzle. However, she couldn't remember the number or anything else. Qiao Zhen instantly burst into tears.

Gu Chen looked at her tearful face and couldn't help but chuckle. He stretched out his slender fingers to put the phone back in the slot, and then randomly dialed a number. "Hello, Mom, I'm on the mountain, I'm lost, and I don't know where I am."

Qiao Zhen, this shameless, shameless, and utterly shameless person, immediately clung to his leg, "Big brother, you have to take me with you!"

Gu Chen raised his hand and patted his fluffy hair. He casually sat down on the ground and leaned against Qiao Zhen. "Let me rest for a while."
