Qiao Zhen wrapped her long legs around Ming Zhao's waist and said in a hoarse voice, "It's time to sleep."
"Hmph!" Mingzhao gave a haughty snort. Qiao Zhen looked more and more relaxed, while he was getting more and more tired. This was really too much! The body in this world was not strong at all, all show and no substance! He rolled over and fell down next to Qiao Zhen. "I'm so tired, I don't want to move."
Qiao Zhen suppressed a smile. In this world, she still had the advantage of great strength. She carried Ming Zhao into the bathroom and asked, "Little brother, would you like to take a bath together?"
Mingzhao answered irrelevantly, "I love how soft and boneless you are when you're soft, and how incredibly strong you are when you're hard." He buried his head in Qiao Zhen's large breasts and inhaled deeply, "You smell like milk."
Qiao Zhen's lips twitched, and she threw Ming Zhao into the bathtub with a splash. "Are you talking about earthworms?"
Mingzhao sat up, looking completely bewildered. He wiped the water from his face and said, "That was a compliment!"
"Fill the bathtub yourself." Qiao Zhen grabbed a bathrobe and turned to go into the shower stall.
Mingzhao felt a little wronged. Qiao Zhen wasn't like this before. She used to spoil him a lot, and she would never refuse anything he liked. Even if she refused, he could easily win her over with a little coaxing!
He grumbled as he adjusted the water temperature and filled the bathtub, his gaze involuntarily fixed on the shower glass, where he could only vaguely make out a figure. Even that blurry figure drew him in.
When Qiao Zhen came out wrapped in a bathrobe, Ming Zhao was still in the bathtub like a mentally challenged child, tapping the water with his fingertips and letting the water droplets drip back into the tub along the outline of his fingers. She chuckled and ruffled Ming Zhao's wet hair. "Are you still a child at heart?"
Mingzhao stared at Qiaozhen with wide eyes, and retorted seriously, "To me, your age is that of a child at heart."
Qiao Zhen unfolded a dry towel. "You seem to have revealed something. I'm at least tens of thousands of years old, so wouldn't you be hundreds of thousands of years old? Although the standard for becoming a god is very high now, it's much lower than it was back then. You were able to become a god at the best age, so you must have the strength. From now on, I won't guess your identity anymore; it's too agonizing." She shook the towel. "Get up quickly, let me dry you off."
Mingzhao emerged from the water, and Qiaozhen wiped the water droplets off his body. "It's cold, wrap yourself up first."
She went out to get pajamas for Mingzhao, and when she came back, she saw Mingzhao looking like a little baby, disheveled yet very well-behaved, with a tuft of hair sticking up on her head. "Baby Zhao is so good, come here, let me give you a kiss."
Qiao Zhen leaned in and gave Ming Zhao a quick kiss on the lips, then couldn't resist pinching his cheek. "Even though he's all soft and chubby, I think he's so cute."
A blush crept onto Mingzhao's cheeks, and he lowered his head shyly. "I'm glad you like it."
"I love it! I love it so much!" Qiao Zhen stuffed the pajamas into his hands. "Change into these quickly. We'll go to your room to sleep later. Don't catch a cold. I'll feel really bad if I can't get any candy in this world, you know?"
"Mmm." Mingzhao obediently responded. After Qiao Zhen left, he quickly changed into his pajamas. When he entered the bedroom, he saw Qiao Zhen sitting cross-legged on the bed. Her wet hair hung down on the dry towel draped over her shoulders, like a lotus flower emerging from clear water.
As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Mingzhao saw Qiao Zhen as if she had an automatic filter installed in her eyes, and she found her beautiful and cute no matter how she looked at her.
"What are you looking at? Come here, I'll help you dry your hair." Qiao Zhen went to the bathroom to get the hairdryer and plugged it in on the bedside table. "Sit here."
Mingzhao obediently sat down as she instructed, having not enjoyed the feeling of Qiao Zhen blow-drying his hair in a long time. Still unwilling to give up, he thought of his purpose in seducing Qiao Zhen and once again wanted to ask for her consent. "Zhenzhen, let's have a big wedding, okay? Marry me, I don't want to wrong you."
Qiao Zhen's fingertips ran through Ming Zhao's hair, feeling the damp, cool touch on her skin. "Oh no, are you afraid I'll make you suffer?" She couldn't help but twitch her lips, since Ming Zhao couldn't see her expression at that moment. "Don't worry, now that I've married you, I won't cheat on you."
Mingzhao frowned, his cheeks taut, as if he were twisting his features together to show his grievance. "This is a parallel world of reality. What if you fall for some pretty boy and insist on staying here? How am I supposed to go back to the Heavenly Realm and face my fellow villagers?!"
Qiao Zhen slapped Ming Zhao across the face. "Can't you be a little more mature like me? Although this is a parallel real world, it is still classified as a tribulation mission. If we fail the tribulation mission, we will both die. Am I the kind of person who would sacrifice my life for love? No! Put your heart back. In terms of looks, you are outstanding. In terms of family background, you are hundreds of levels above me."
Mingzhao felt even more aggrieved upon hearing this, looking as if she was about to burst into tears. "You just won't sacrifice your life for love. What if you really fall for one of these pretty boys here? Then I can keep your body, but not your heart. What's the point of having your body? And your looks and family? Honestly, do you care? You don't care at all!"
Qiao Zhen touched Ming Zhao's almost dry hair. "I don't care about family background. But looks—sorry, having good looks really does allow you to do whatever you want to me."
A breath caught in Mingzhao's throat, unable to rise or fall. He gasped, "If I didn't have this face, would you not like me anymore?!"
