To deal with someone with so much social experience like this, you have to be careful. She had a recording pen in her pocket; she wasn't worried Zhou Ziqi wouldn't take the bait, but she was afraid she wouldn't tell the truth. Perhaps it was because she was too naive, a recent college graduate, that she said those things.
Actually, Xiang Wan hadn't thought that much about it; she just wanted to take precautions. If Zhou Ziqi didn't covet this opportunity for fame, then Xiang Wan couldn't do anything about it.
After writing down the lyrics with pen and paper, Zhou Ziqi carefully put them away and then said to Xiang Wan, "Little sister, you know our current situation. If the song sells well, we can pay you your wages. For now, just help us run errands, and we won't treat you badly in the future."
Making empty promises and getting people to run errands for them for free isn't out of the question. Xiang Wan had other plans, so she readily agreed.
Xiang Wan's roommates were getting a little impatient when Zhou Ziqi came over with a smile and said to them, "You're all her friends, right? As we just mentioned, you can come with me and do some errands. As for the payment, it will be settled with her later. You can go back first today, and I'll let you know if anything comes up."
With that formulaic tone, Xiang Wan bet that once they left today, they would never contact each other again. Zhou Ziqi was cunning enough; after tricking them out of the lyrics, she thought that coming over to say a few words would be the end of it.
"Sister Zhou, these are our names and contact information. Let's save each other's phone numbers so we can contact each other if needed."
Xiang Wan quickly wrote down the names and phone numbers of the group on a piece of paper and respectfully handed it over with both hands. Zhou Ziqi's lips twitched. She took the paper, recited a number, said she had other things to do, and turned to leave.
Xiang Wan quickly saved the number, dialed it, and after confirming that the ringtone was coming from Zhou Ziqi, she shouted loudly at her back, "Sister Zhou, keep in touch!"
Zhou Ziqi almost twisted her ankle from that shout.
As we left the hotel, my roommate muttered, "So, this is what it means to have found a part-time job? It seems so unreliable."
"Yeah, there wasn't even an interview, and I didn't see any office or anything. Could it be a scam?"
"That guy doesn't seem like someone to get along with. Could we have been scammed?"
Seeing the three of them looking worried, Xiang Wan smiled and said, "Don't worry, she wouldn't dare. You know Li Ying, right? She's Li Ying's manager, Zhou Ziqi."
"Huh? No way. So, we're working for celebrities?"
"What kind of star? At most, he's a third-rate, washed-up singer. He was very popular when we were in elementary school, but now he's not famous at all. He only has one song, who remembers it now?"
"Now that we think about it, Li Ying is neither young nor famous. Will we get paid to work for him?"

Xiang Wan called them over mainly to provide evidence that she was genuinely looking for work, and not misunderstood like the original owner of this body in her previous life. If her roommates could misunderstand, what about others who didn't know the truth?
"If you don't want to go, you don't have to force yourself. This was my own decision, and whether I'll get the money is really hard to say."
Xiang Wan looked sincere, and her three roommates exchanged glances and said in unison, "Let's go!"
"Why not go? It's such a positive thing, it's awesome, okay?"

A few days later, Zhou Ziqi called. It seemed they had made up their minds and planned to use this song to boost their popularity again.
Xiang Wan only sang it once that day, so it would be quite difficult for Zhou Ziqi to perfectly recreate it. Therefore, she had to find Xiang Wan again, hoping that she could write down the song or sing it for them.
This was originally prepared for them, so Xiang Wan had no reason to refuse. Before going, she informed her roommates. Unexpectedly, the three of them used both soft and hard tactics to insist on coming along. Helpless, Xiang Wan had no choice but to go as a trio instead of alone.
This time, they didn't go to the same hotel as before, but to a recording studio. When they arrived, Zhou Ziqi was already waiting at the door. Seeing that there were four of them together, she frowned slightly before saying, "You guys sit here for a while. Yuan Xiangwan, come with me."
