But now, facing a life-or-death situation, her usual views might be at odds, because she hasn't tried it before and doesn't know how to solve it. At this point, listening to the system is definitely the right thing to do. But better safe than sorry. She's already memorized that immovable spot; if she encounters the same problem again, she should be able to find a solution herself, and not waste another opportunity.
This time, she moved the phoenix first, then the spider, and then the other animals. She noticed that any animal smaller than the snake, or that the snake could swallow, had to pass through the empty space below the snake's head. The area that couldn't be moved was simply bypassed under the system's guidance. This puzzle-solving method was very similar to the food chain movement methods she had encountered in modern games.
Time ticked by, and Xiang Wan felt as if she had moved countless times, yet the system showed no sign of stopping. The rattling of the chains behind her grew louder, as if something were crawling on them. Xiang Wan broke out in a cold sweat, her neck stiffening, afraid to turn around. She feared that if she did, her limbs would give way, and she would never have the chance to open the door again.
"Concentrate, it'll be done soon."
The system's words jolted Xiang Wan awake. She tried to ignore the noise behind her and focused on moving the totem. Finally, after hearing a "click," the snake's head suddenly opened its eyes, flashed a blue light, and then shrank back inside. The stone door then slowly shrank into the stone wall on both sides.
"Run!"
Xiang Wan shuddered and then quickly ran into the stone gate.
