Chapter 186 The Mystery of Immortality (Seventeen)

Arafat, with his arm around Xiang Wan, said to her with a smug look on his face, "My beloved, do you see? The fountain of youth we drink is brewed from these things. Just one last thing is needed for it to be a complete success."

Upon hearing this, Xiang Wan's curiosity was immediately piqued. She wanted to go and see, but Arafat let go of her hand and allowed her to walk forward.

When the group saw Xiang Wan approach, they stopped what they were doing and knelt down before her. The stone platform they had surrounded was now revealed. On the rectangular stone platform lay a corpse, its body gleaming with golden light, lying face up. Its chest had been ripped open, and blood flowed down the patterned base of the stone. The blood had a faint golden hue. After flowing out of the stone platform, it was collected in jars, which were then replaced with fresh ones.

Beside the corpse, a severed heart was still beating slowly, surrounded by other freshly removed organs.

Xiang Wan had a bad feeling. She suppressed the chill that was spreading through her body and asked, "What are you doing?"

One of the head servants looked up at Arafat, and after receiving an affirmative look, replied, "Your Highness, we are fetching medicinal herbs."

"Medicinal herbs? What medicinal herbs? This is clearly a person!"

“Your Highness, he is a medicinal herb. He is fed gold powder and precious Ganoderma lucidum every day. After his eyes change color, his spiritual liquid and organs are extracted and brewed into the Fountain of Immortality, which is then offered to Your Highness and Your Highness.”

Upon hearing this, Xiang Wan suddenly felt a churning in her stomach, turned around, and vomited violently, even bringing up bile.

Arafat put his arm around Xiang Wan's shoulder and patted her back as he said, "I didn't want to bring you here, but you were really curious. This is just a pharmaceutical process. If you think of them all as medicinal ingredients, you won't feel so uncomfortable."

Hearing this, Xiang Wan vomited even more violently. Poor thing, she had even drunk a cup herself—something made from living human blood! The more she thought about it, the more she vomited, until finally her eyes rolled back and she fainted.
