As Xiang Wan wondered what was happening, she heard an explosion nearby. A group of lizards, startled, jumped into the river. Turning back, she saw black blood trickling from Qian Li's mouth. Lifting her leg, Xiang Wan saw two swollen, black, gaping holes. Looking into Qian Li's eyes, her pupils were dilated, and she was completely lifeless.
Even after a week in the villa, Xiang Wan still felt like she was in a dream, recalling her experience in the pyramids as if she had a long dream.
"Little Seven, is there really a way to achieve immortality in this world?"
"I've never seen anything about immortality, only things like you who have been resurrected in another's body."
