Chapter 256 The Apocalypse: Clinging to the Villain's Thigh (18)

Screams and gasps rose and fell, and some people tumbled down the mountainside. The sounds of supernatural abilities being unleashed never ceased, and the sound of gunfire could still be heard from below.

In this chaotic situation, Xiang Wan's mind was drawn in, her eyes constantly glancing outwards. But the villain was holding her tightly, making it impossible for her to think straight, and her heart felt itchy as if a cat was scratching at her.

An's kissing skills had improved by leaps and bounds; he was almost an expert now, and he still wouldn't let go, leaving Xiang Wan breathless. She nudged An with her hand, signaling him to stop, to stop going on and on.

An loosened her embrace slightly, and Xiang Wan tilted her head back, took a deep breath, and turned to look down the mountain.

"Lack of focus, deserves punishment!"

As soon as she finished speaking, her mouth was sealed again. This time, the kiss was even more forceful than the last, as if he wanted to meld her whole body into his.

Xiang Wan was too exhausted to pay attention to what was happening down the mountain; she was completely drained. Kissing is physically demanding, especially for the one being kissed. She was already struggling to get a few breaths of fresh air; she couldn't care less about what was happening around her.

When Xiang Wan's limbs went weak and An finally managed to release her, she realized his purpose in doing so.

As they passionately kissed (Xiang Wan: ...), countless dark creatures such as spiders, scorpions, woodlice, snakes, and reptiles emerged from the ground, vying to crawl onto the people.

At first, the superhumans used their powers to envelop their entire bodies and even managed to blast away the creatures. Later, as the swarms of creatures became endless, the superhumans began to fear. Their powers would run out, while the number of creatures attacking them only increased. A few, out of fear, malfunctioned and were overwhelmed by the swarms, losing their footing and tumbling down the mountain. Seeing this, the others considered retreating. Of course, some were fearless and tried to charge forward, but they were enveloped by creatures many times their number and ultimately perished under the onslaught of snakes and insects, becoming their prey.

There were many snakes and insects on the mountain, but fewer at the foot. Even so, many of the ordinary people carrying weapons were injured or killed. Most of the snakes and insects that attacked them were venomous, and even if they survived temporarily, they were unable to stand, let alone attack the villains.

The people at the foot of the mountain built a wall of fire, which the snakes and insects could not pass through, and they gradually retreated. After this wave of attacks, the corpses of underground creatures were densely packed throughout the forest, and the dead were quickly gnawed down to bones. Those who were injured and unable to move had their seven orifices crawling with insects, and just looking at them would make one vomit.

What Xiang Wan saw was the scene after the attack ended. Although there was no food in her stomach, she still couldn't help but feel nauseous. Finally, she looked away, suppressed the feeling of nausea, and tore off a piece of her clothes to cover her mouth and nose, which made her feel a little better.

“Wan’er, this is just the beginning. If you can’t take it, I don’t mind continuing to help you in my own way.”

Seeing An's eager expression, Xiang Wan tensed up, quickly took a big step back, and shook her head, saying, "No need, I'll get used to it."

An glanced at her lips with a hint of regret. Xiang Wan instantly became furious. Whoever said the villain was a virgin, she'd fight them! His posture, his tone, his expression—who would believe he wasn't a seasoned pro? Xiang Wan certainly didn't. Taking advantage of someone so openly was unique to him!

Down the mountain, Peng Liuliu and her group, along with the leaders of other teams, gathered together, seemingly discussing something. Moments later, machine guns and artillery shells were all aimed at the mountaintop.

A rumbling sound came from the sky, and several helicopters began to converge on this direction. Gunmen sat on both sides of the helicopters, firing a few tentative shots in Xiang Wan's direction, which hit the eaves of the house below her.

Xiang Wan pulled out a gun, aimed it at the helicopter engine, and decided to shoot one down first.

"Don't move yet."

Ann pressed down on her arm, pulled her into her arms, and raised her other hand high, holding the vial of red and green liquid.

The people on the helicopter stopped firing and hovered in mid-air. All eyes were focused on An's hand. Xiang Wan sensed the tense atmosphere in the air, probably because it was related to what An was holding.

"Don't worry, they won't dare to make any rash moves."

An whispered in her ear, her expression showing no panic, but rather as if she were joking.

“Listen up,” An’s voice echoed throughout the mountain, louder than a helicopter rotor. Xiang Wan, standing beside him, could clearly feel the vibrations in his body and knew he was using his supernatural abilities to speak, yet she wasn’t affected by the sound. “No one will get it if they don’t follow my rules. This thing is unique in the world, and all the information is in my head. I’ve already informed you that whoever comes up first will get it, provided they do it with their own abilities! If you don’t trust me, I can disappear with it, and no one will get it. Try it; at least there’s a sliver of hope. Otherwise, the whole world will pay the price for your recklessness!”

An snorted and put the item in her pocket. "Who wants to try it?"

The mountains were deathly silent. Some, fearless and defiant, raised their hands to attack. The instant they pulled the trigger, a cloud of black mist erupted from the ground, enveloping them. A piercing scream followed, then a gun fell to the ground; the man had vanished without a trace. A scream also came from a nearby helicopter; the entire aircraft plunged off a cliff, crashing and exploding.

Xiang Wan was stunned. What kind of ability was this? To make a person disappear without a sound! Judging from that person's voice, the end was terrible, terribly terrible! Her heart pounded violently a few times, then gradually calmed down.
