Chapter 425 Bending That Orc (Part Fourteen)

On the way back, the saber-toothed leopard absolutely refused to let anyone other than Xiang Wan ride on its back.

There are three reasons: First, Shi Cong is too cunning; he almost chopped the Beast King in half with a knife, which is too embarrassing. Second, Bai San, who doesn't look strong at all, just watched the show without doing anything. Third, this female caused all the trouble, so we must resolutely resist the culprit!

As for Xiang Wan, considering that she's not bad-looking, she can still manage to hunch over a bit.

Of course, the saber-toothed leopard would never admit that it took her out hunting because she seemed powerful yet weak, and it could threaten her while she did the killing – the perfect combination.

But leaving these three people alone to walk back would be too worrying. One should always be cautious; what if this woman seduces Shi Cong and fools the third brother? Wouldn't she have done more harm than good and repeat the same mistakes the original owner made?

Absolutely not!

So, in the end, all the packages were placed on the saber-toothed leopard's back, and the four of them only needed to focus on traveling.

Along the way, Xiang Wan was busy inquiring about the woman's background. Despite having the original owner's memories, she was still uneasy. A woman who wanted to unify the beastman world like Wu Zetian was definitely not an ordinary person. Moreover, she seemed to be quite powerful in combat as well, so she couldn't be careless.

Xiang Wan wanted to talk to this woman, and coincidentally, the woman also wanted to flirt with Xiang Wan. The two hit it off immediately, and their mouths never stopped moving the whole way.

"Thank you for saving me. Otherwise..."

The woman glanced at the leopard, but was startled by its bared teeth. She quietly moved to Xiang Wan's side, keeping the leopard at bay.

"Hehe, we just happened to be passing by. By the way, which orc race are you? Why don't we see your tail and ears?"

The reason I referred to the person beside me as a woman is because she called herself "little woman," and she is indeed a human being.

“I don’t remember.” The woman’s eyes flickered, then her mood turned somber. “When I woke up, I was in the woods. I couldn’t find my way out no matter how I looked around. Then I was chased by a leopard and that’s when I ran into you.”

She's a typical time-traveling woman; she can cover up everything that's amiss by saying she doesn't remember anything.

"So what's your name?" Xiang Wan asked calmly, her face showing a hint of regret and pity.

"I don't know. Why don't you pick one for me?"

The woman's body was close, and Xiang Wan could feel the softness of her chest through her arm.

Verbal communication combined with physical contact would make it hard for any man to refuse immediately.

Xiang Wan quietly took a small step to the side, shaking her head and sighing.

"What a pity, such a soft and delicate female like you has no male to protect her, it's such a waste. Otherwise," she glanced around, turned her head, and whispered, "I'll give you a name that's absolutely easy to remember, how about that?"

The woman's eyes lit up as she drew closer to Xiang Wan.

Xiang Wan thought to herself, this was her own request. Rather than a name that sounded too domineering, it was better to have something down-to-earth, so that people wouldn't want to act tough just by hearing the name. To completely get rid of someone's desire to dominate, let's start with how they address them.

After pondering for a while with her head down and brows furrowed, Xiang Wan's eyes lit up. "I have a good name that would suit you perfectly."

Her voice wasn't low, and it even carried a hint of excitement. Shi Cong and Bai San, who were walking not far in front of her, unconsciously pricked up their ears.

“You were picked up by us fox-fox beastmen, but you’re not one of us. The surname Bai isn’t good, so how about the surname Hu?”

The woman nodded, her eyes wide, waiting for Xiang Wan to continue.

"Look, we met you on the way here. Doesn't that mean we're destined to meet?"

The woman continued to nod.

"So, to commemorate our first meeting, let's use the character 'Lai' in our names. Doesn't that immediately bring back memories of that wonderful moment?"

Come here? Is it to commemorate the wonderful time you met her?

Looking into Xiang Wan's passionate eyes, the woman blushed and nodded shyly.

Upon hearing this, the two people in front of him both slipped and nearly fell to the ground.

Bai San's face turned red. He never expected that his youngest brother would be such a good conversationalist. In no time, he had even come up with a name that sounded much better than any of his brothers'.

Shi Cong coughed lightly, concealing the smile that was creeping onto his lips. This kid, he doesn't mince words when he's digging a hole.

The saber-toothed leopard was preoccupied with the wound on its belly. When would it finally reach its destination? It was exhausted.

Xiang Wan was secretly delighted; it seemed her beauty had been put to the right use.

"It's settled then. From now on, you'll have a name. Once you're in our clan, I'll report it to the elders."

Her given name is just the character "来" (Lai), so you can call her A Lai from now on; it sounds nice too.

The woman unilaterally ignored the issue of surnames, only feeling that the person in front of her was the most enthusiastic person she had met since she came into this world.

The snow had long since stopped, but the cold remained.

After exchanging names, Xiang Wan unilaterally announced that from now on, the saber-toothed leopard would be called Hu Bao, with the nickname A Bao. How domineering!

The saber-toothed leopard, burdened with its load, heard this time, snorted, and silently sniffed at the few pieces of meat it carried, wondering if they were enough to fill its teeth.

"Xiang Wan, a beastman as handsome as you must have quite a few females pursuing you, right?"

They've started prying into her private affairs; it seems Hu Lai is quite interested in her.

Xiang Wan scratched the back of her head a little embarrassedly, "No, it's just so-so."

In Hu Lai's eyes, Xiang Wan's words were typical modesty, and he couldn't help but feel a tightness in his chest, blurting out four words, "Do you have a boyfriend?"
