Chapter 483 Taboo (Part 5)

In my hazy state, my phone rang, vibrating quite strongly.

Xiang Wan was so sleepy that she didn't react for a moment, and something slipped from her hand.

The expected thud did not occur. When I opened my eyes, I saw a face shrouded in black mist.

It's so late, I don't know who called, disturbing my sleep.

Xiang Wan's face clearly showed displeasure, but someone else was even more displeased than him.

"You rushed me here just to see you lying here...sleeping?"

Lou Junxuan casually tossed the phone he had barely managed to retrieve before it hit the ground back at Xiang Wan. His deliberately lowered voice carried a unique charm.

Xiang Wan sat up, grabbed her clothes that had fallen to the ground as she shifted position, and tossed them next to Lou Junxuan. She picked up her incessantly ringing phone, glanced at the screen, and answered. While listening, she rubbed her neck as she walked out.

Feeling ignored, Lou Junxuan's face darkened further. Without a word, he grabbed his clothes, strode past Xiang Wan, and headed towards the parking lot.

The wind that swept past the figure carried a chill, blending into the pitch-black night.

"Sister Bai, I told the security guard, Xiao Chen, before I left. Yes, I know, it's just too late, I didn't want to disturb your rest. Next time, I'll definitely be more careful. But, it's so late, and you still have the mind to call me? You weren't having a boring dream and you're missing me, were you? Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, alright? Don't worry, someone will answer. Um, tomorrow—no, tonight—when I get there, I'll explain everything to you in detail. Okay, goodbye!"

After hanging up the phone, Lou Junxuan's car had already started, but he couldn't open the passenger door no matter what he tried.

"Damn it, Lou Junxuan, what's wrong with you? Are you trying to stage a scene where you abandon your brothers and run away? I'm not buying it. If you've got the guts, run me over!"

After pulling a few times without any reaction from Lou Junxuan, Xiang Wan got angry and simply stood in front, slamming the hood of the car so hard it made a deafening noise.

She just fell asleep while waiting for him to come, and he dared to give her the cold shoulder.

Lou Junxuan's eyes were cold and stern. He pressed the accelerator to the floor, and the engine roared to life.

Xiang Wan sneered, unmoved.

He didn't put it in gear; he wanted to waste gas to show off how much money he had. She couldn't care less.

However, she broke her promise and called him, hoping to ease the tension between them. Since Lou Junxuan still dared to give her the cold shoulder, then neither of them could leave. They would just stay there and see who could outlast whom.

In terms of fighting spirit, the original owner had never lost, so how could she possibly lose!

Seeing Lou Junxuan raise his right hand and place it at his side, making the gear shifting action very obvious, he did not intend to give up.

Xiang Wan patted the hood of the car, slowly raised his thumb, and then slowly turned it back, full of provocation.

Lou Junxuan remained unmoved, slowly releasing the clutch and allowing the car to gradually move forward.

When the car reached her, Xiang Wan remained motionless, letting it push her back a few steps. Then, her expression suddenly changed, and she disappeared.

Staring blankly as the person disappeared in front of the car, Lou Junxuan quickly stepped on the brakes, observed for a while, then quickly turned off the engine and got out of the car to find out what had happened.

He was very angry that his younger brother was behaving badly and ignoring his advice, continuing to work at the club, but he didn't really intend to kill him.

At first, he did intend to teach him a lesson by making Lou Xiangwan sleep alone in the hotel lobby for the night as a warning. But now, with the man lying in front of his car, he couldn't help but feel nervous.

Could it be that it was really run over by the car?

He opened the car door, walked to the front of the car, and his face immediately fell.

He turned around, and there was that infuriating face already in the driver's seat.

"Get down!"

Lou Junxuan stood beside the car, his face extremely ugly. If it weren't for the car window blocking his view, Xiang Wan would have truly believed he would have punched her.

Having finally gotten into the car, Xiang Wan wasn't about to give in so easily. She slammed on the gas and drove off!

Lou Junxuan laughed in anger, took out his phone, tapped a few times, and stood still, waiting to see the show.

Having succeeded, Xiang Wan drove out of the hotel parking lot and was about to drive onto the main road when she found that the car was out of control, moving slower and slower until it came to a stop in the middle of the road.

Ha, that's cunning. If she doesn't let him leave, Xiang Wan won't be able to leave either. She should have realized earlier that someone like Lou Junxuan wouldn't choose a car without remote control. A miscalculation; she should have just let him get into the passenger seat before leaving.

I glanced at the time; it was past four o'clock, almost dawn. Even if I went back, I wouldn't have time to catch a nap, so I might as well just book a room at a hotel.

But the thought of sleeping in the same restaurant as Cui Shiwan made Xiang Wan extremely unwilling.

This was the original owner's habit, and Xiang Wan didn't intend to change it: unless absolutely necessary, she would never contact her sugar daddy outside of her work scope to avoid causing unnecessary trouble.

Xiang Wan got out of the car briskly, casually draped Lou Junxuan's jacket, which was on the passenger seat, over her shoulders, and walked towards the bus stop.

Even if the distance is a bit far and the journey is long, she can treat it as training and will never compromise, and will go back to find Lou Junxuan.

Lou Xiangwan also has a temper, especially towards Lou Junxuan, and she doesn't want him to look down on her.

Xiang Wan no longer cared whether a car was following her. She tightened her coat and started jogging as she walked.

There are streetlights on both sides of the road, and not many vehicles, making it a perfect place for jogging—quiet and spacious.

This body doesn't seem to exercise much. It was already starting to feel breathless after running less than a hundred meters. Xiang Wang took off his jacket, tied it around his waist, and started running slowly forward at his previous pace.

Lou Junxuan's car was no more than fifty meters away from Xiang Wan, following behind at a leisurely pace.
