Chapter 555 The Tribulations of the Mortal World (Part Four)

I should have known better; that stinky monk had no good intentions at all!

Shui Yuntian opened his eyes and was forced into the water by Xiang Wan, where he drank several mouthfuls of bathwater. The taste and feeling were even more unpleasant than eating excrement.

It wasn't that he thought the bathwater was dirtier than sewage; it was just that there were actually bugs in the water, and they even got into his stomach, making him so disgusted he wanted to vomit. But before he could even vomit, he swallowed a few more mouthfuls of water. Furious and anxious, Shui Yuntian fainted.

Xiang Wan clicked her tongue and grimaced. Being choked unconscious by her own bathwater was quite a feat for Shui Yuntian.

The man was already unconscious, so Xiang Wan had to do it herself. She pulled him out, stripped off his clothes, threw him onto the bed, and then began to use silver needles to acupuncture acupoints.

"Xiang Wan, isn't what you're doing a bit inappropriate?"

The system came out for a stroll, its voice weak and somewhat smug.

"If you're so good, then you do it."

"Hehe, this system is just kindly reminding you. This is the future great demon of this world. Aren't you afraid he'll retaliate against you later if you keep causing trouble like this?"

"Ha, a demon? Even more powerful than my witch identity from the last world?"

The system choked, then said somewhat awkwardly, "This, this system can explain. The previous world was actually very important to you, so I..."

"Speak! My level is already maxed out. Why not let me go back? Instead, you sent me to this world. What's your purpose?"

"You...you knew all along?"

The system's voice grew even weaker; it seemed as if it was entirely in the wrong.

"What's the point of lying to me and coaxing me?"

"I'm doing this all for your own good!"

"Don't use the excuse of doing what's best for me to do things that will harm me. If I hadn't died in the last world, would I have been stuck there for hundreds of thousands of years without being able to escape? Did he really want me to stay there and spend that boring life with him?"

"Boring? You actually said you're bored?"

"Isn't it boring? Immortal, without desires, living in human form, instilling fear and terror in everyone. I don't believe you can't see it."

"Doesn't he deserve your love?"

"Love? Ha, if he throws me into hell and then tells me he loves me, and then deceives me into believing that going through this nonexistent mission is love, then my love is far too cheap."

"No, that's not it, you must have misunderstood..."

"There's no misunderstanding!"

"Xiang Wan..."

"If you truly care about me, then return all my memories to me. Right and wrong, grudges and affections, are all my own business. You know, what I hate most in my life is being lied to."

"..."

007 was speechless. It didn't know when its host started regaining her memories, nor did it know what Xiang Wan wanted to do.

In her mind, it could, if it so desired, perceive all her thoughts and ideas. But now, it couldn't see even the slightest trace of her thoughts. What it could possibly know was what its host wanted it to see.

"Host, the matter of regaining memories is not something I can control. My abilities are insufficient, and your strength is not yet up to par. I only hope that you will not harm him before making the right decision. I'm begging you."

Xiang Wan paused, then withdrew the silver needle that had been aimed at Shui Yuntian's forehead, and said indifferently, "Don't worry, he won't die."

The system wanted to say something more, but seeing that Xiang Wan had no desire to speak, it silently disappeared.

Xiang Wan didn't think about anything and just continued to administer acupuncture to Shui Yuntian.

After completing the mission in the previous world, Xiang Wan had a vague suspicion, but she wasn't quite sure. Her words just now were just an attempt to trick the system, but unexpectedly, she actually managed to get some information out of it.

It seems her transmigration and binding with the system isn't as simple as it appears. However, her current strength is still too weak; she probably can't withstand the consequences of accepting the truth. For now, it's best not to overthink it and focus on completing the tasks assigned by the system.

With each world she experienced, her soul became more solidified and her strength increased; this was probably the system's purpose in making her constantly perform tasks.

Shui Yuntian's internal energy has stabilized, and the remaining toxins in his body have been guided out by Xiang Wan using silver needles.

The accumulated poison over the years could rapidly increase his cultivation level, but it also damaged his lifespan and internal organs. If the stagnant poisonous blood wasn't expelled in time, it probably wouldn't harm his body.

When he's awake, all he can think about is how to kill Xiang Wan, so how can he just let her do whatever she wants?

It's good that I'm dizzy, but I'm all dirty, so I'll probably need to wash myself with a bucket of hot water.

After changing Shui Yuntian's appearance, Xiang Wan went downstairs and asked the waiter to find two people to thoroughly clean Shui Yuntian's body and shave all his hair.

By the time they finished, it was already broad daylight. Xiang Wan had been busy all night without rest, and since there wasn't anything particularly important to do, she simply knocked Shui Yuntian unconscious again and then lay down for a good night's sleep.

When I opened my eyes again, it was already evening.

Turning her head, she saw that Shui Yuntian was already awake, staring at her with wide eyes.

Xiang Wan slowly got up, ignoring him, and directly called the waiter to bring up the food.

Once everyone had left, Shui Yuntian said, "Monk, I don't need your fake kindness. Even if I can't become the leader of the Tianmen Sect, I won't become a monk. You should give up on that idea as soon as possible."

Wow, you've accepted being shaved so quickly. Looks like you're pretty calm.

“Benefactor, one should not speak while eating or sleeping.”

After saying that, Xiang Wan quickly finished off all the food on the table, leaving none for Shui Yuntian.

"Monk, do you want me to starve to death?"

Shui Yuntian hadn't eaten anything for over a day; the only thing that filled her stomach was the bathwater from last night.

The thought of bathwater made Shui Yuntian feel nauseous again.
