Chapter 563 The Tribulations of the Mortal World (Part Twelve)

He spat out the tea as soon as it entered his mouth.

The woman hurriedly said, "Master, is this tea not to your liking?"

Shui Yuntian frowned slightly, put down his teacup, and said, "I'm not used to drinking tea. Do you have a well here?"

"No, there's only one well in the village, at the east end. There's a water tank at home; if you want some water, you can go inside and get it yourself."

"That's excellent."

Shui Yuntian looked up at Xiang Wan, then got up and went inside.

Xiang Wan let him do as he pleased, remaining silent and keeping her eyes fixed on the teapot in front of her.

The woman warmly brewed a cup of tea for Xiang Wan and said, "Master, please don't mind the simple dwelling."

How dare they spread rumors and spread alarmist statements? They'll have to taste the bitterness of hell. Take them away!"

"yes!"

The group carried Xiang Wan and Shui Yuntian into a carriage that had been hidden outside the courtyard gate and covered with straw, then whipped their whips and rode away.

The villagers watched all of this numbly, taking it all for granted.

Xiang Wan looked up at Shui Yuntian, whose breathing was deep and even, and wondered to herself what Shui Yuntian, who had finally shown kindness, would think when he woke up and found himself in someone else's trap.

If it were anyone else who had gone through purgatory, they would probably have become a bloodthirsty demon after escaping.

One's state of mind is often related to the things one experiences.

To change a person's character, one probably has to address the root cause.
