"Please undergo genetic testing."
Sufoor maneuvered the warships to the vicinity of the base, but the base's protective shield remained closed. A cold, aloof female figure appeared on the display screen—the base's intelligent bionic robot—demanding that everyone undergo genetic testing, including these soldiers temporarily deployed on missions.
"To reiterate, please undergo genetic testing. Otherwise, you will be considered a spy and subjected to indiscriminate shooting. Countdown, begin."
From the moment Sufoao saw the android to the start of the countdown, which has lasted less than ten minutes, it has been less than a minute.
Xiang Wan answered his private message and asked in confusion, "Huh, isn't this your territory?"
This added fuel to the fire, making Sufo's face look extremely ugly.
Just moments ago, he was thinking that once he was on his own turf, he wouldn't need her help to find the traitor himself. Now, he couldn't even get into his own territory, and his face stung with embarrassment.
Su Fuo calmed himself down and asked, "Where is Gnaden? Let her out; I have something to say to her."
"I'm sorry, the suspicion has not been cleared, and she is not available to speak with you."
Upon hearing this, Su Fuhao slammed his fist on the control panel, causing the suspended phantom to tremble.
The conspicuous countdown was decreasing second by second. Su Fuo turned his head to look at the people standing around him, and with a wave of his hand, the two soldiers who were still standing immediately returned to their seats.
"It's just a test, there's no need to be so nervous," Xiang Wan relentlessly rebuked Su Fu'ao.
Under normal circumstances, if the protective shield at the base is for its own personnel entering and exiting, a single laser scan is sufficient to identify them. Direct genetic testing is only for outsiders.
Having been stationed here for so many years, this was the first time Su Fu'ao had been refused communication by his deputy captain, and the first time he had been asked to undergo genetic testing. Just thinking about it made him extremely uncomfortable.
Grenadier was his second-in-command, and because of the tacit understanding they had developed over a long period, he felt comfortable entrusting the base to her when he was on duty. Everything had been fine before, except for today.
He wanted to see what Gnarden was up to.
"Operation Clear Obstacles, initiated. Top command: Base defenses reset, everything reset to zero. Password: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX."
Sufo picked up another miniature microphone hidden inside the controller and pressed it directly to his throat to issue commands. His hand covered half his face, so no one could see what he was saying.
A moment later, the protective shield flickered and began to dissipate from the top. After Su Fu'ao and his group entered the camp, an even thicker protective shield condensed again from the ground.
"Reboot successful. Level X command activated. Su Fu'ao is the sole controller. Please issue commands!"
The cold, ethereal figure remained expressionless, but its words were much more endearing than before.
"Lassie, that's my name."
Su Fu'ao's decisiveness gave Xiang Wan a new perspective on him.
"Su Fu'ao".
"Now it's your turn."
Xiang Wan completely gave up resisting, allowing Su Fu'ao to drag the lifeboat away, tie her up, and bring her down. Song Yang and the others were also tied up like her.
"Report, the deputy captain says there are unidentified individuals trespassing on the premises and they need to be questioned."
"It's time to investigate this thoroughly."
Without saying a word, Su Fu'ao turned on the switch of the high-pressure paralysis boxing gloves and knocked the man to the ground with a punch.
The people behind seemed unfazed, not even glancing at him.
"You guys, tie these two up together. Don't let them wake up without my orders."
"yes!"
Several fully armed soldiers quickly emerged and dragged the soldier Sufoo from the warship, along with the one who had just been knocked unconscious, down with him.
Following Su Fu'ao to a prison, Xiang Wan led the way and crawled inside.
"Stay here and behave yourself."
As Su Fu'ao was about to leave after speaking, Xiang Wan obediently replied, "One hour. If the problem can't be solved, I don't mind doing it for you."
"Don't challenge my bottom line!" Su Fuo said coldly, turning his head.
"His life will not be spared once it is over."
"snort."
Su Fu'ao didn't entirely believe Xiang Wan's story, otherwise he wouldn't have confiscated all of Song Yang and his men's weapons. However, he wouldn't dare gamble with the lives of his men. Xiang Wan guessed that he might let the soldier with the missing arm enter the treatment pod. If he could be healed, they wouldn't be needed anymore.
After everyone left, Xiang Wan took out a miniature pistol hidden in her helmet and quickly assembled it.
"Captain, what's the plan next?"
Song Yang also pulled out a tiny, flashlight-like object from his protective suit. Everyone else, except George, took out their weapons.
"He set up the stage for us; now it's our turn to perform."
Xiang Wan was facing the doorway when she raised her hand and fired a shot.
A gust of air swept past, the high-pressure chamber door opened, and Xiang Wan and the others filed out. A moment later, alarms blared throughout the entire base.
"This way, quick!"
Quickly dart to the other side, and if you encounter a spy camera on the way, shoot and destroy it.
On the other side, Gnaden's anger after having her access to the base's protective shield revoked was palpable. She had thought this would be an opportunity to bring down Su Fuo, whose collusion with defectors was enough to warrant exile to the interstellar prison. But she never expected that Su Fuo had another trick up his sleeve.
Now, her only chance of turning the tide is to take down the group of defectors and kill Su Fu'ao.
