The giant octopus closed its eyes and burrowed into the mud crevice, only sticking its two eyes out to look around before falling asleep.
The remaining little octopuses all disappeared into the nearby crevices in the rocks.
Xiang Wan was stunned by this godlike maneuver.
This giant octopus is really capricious; it sleeps whenever it wants without considering her feelings at all.
Thinking about it this way, are Xiang Wan and it really in cahoots?
The giant clam sighed and said, "Sigh, Gududu loves to sleep so much, no wonder the sirens never come to it when they have important matters to attend to. Little Bubble, I'm sleepy too. Why don't you sleep in my clam shell for a while, so you won't get eaten by other animals?"
Xiang Wan looked around; it seemed there really wasn't a safer place than inside the giant clam shell. But, would the clam shell turn her directly into a pearl?
Seeing Xiang Wan's hesitation, the giant clam spoke again: "Don't worry, when the sirens were little, they loved to sleep here with me."
It's the sirens again.
Although she didn't know what the sirens they were talking about were, these two large creatures were clearly trying to protect her. With her tiny arms and legs, she couldn't swim or run; she'd probably be swallowed by some unknown creature before she even took two steps. It would be better for her to sleep inside the clam shell; her body was already too weak to hold on any longer.
The giant clam opened its mouth and crawled inside as evening fell.
Then, he fell asleep on a bed made of pearls.
The large clam slowly closes its shell, leaving a small slit to allow fresh seawater to flow through.
Xiang Wan couldn't sleep soundly in her dream. Because that awful system had somehow entered her dream.
