Chapter 603 The Sea Monster Alliance (Part Six)

It's bad-looking, and it has a bad memory. I really don't know how this stupid fish grew up.

The oarfish mentally grumbled for a moment, then turned around and saw Xiang Wan staring at it with her eyes open. It quickly swam over and pointed its ferocious head at her.

"Hey? There's a little siren here."

The oarfish turned its head and saw Xiang Wan, looking surprised.

This oarfish has a head bigger than Xiang Wan's, and its body is incredibly long. Its eyes are wide open, but its eyesight isn't very good.

"The Sirens? They're here? Where are they? Where are they?"

The ocean sunfish got excited and tried to flip itself over, stirring up the seawater so much that nothing could be seen.

"Cough cough cough, kiss kiss, I'm not done with you yet!"

The oarfish turned its head and charged straight at the sunfish.

Two large fish started fighting, churning the sea into chaos. Poor Xiang Wan, with her small frame, could only drift with the current and was thrown to the rocks, where she hid in a nearby crevic.

As darkness fell, the two fish vanished without a trace. It was pitch black all around, and a bit cold.

"Aaaaa (Siren)!"

Xiang Wan only knows how to do this. If she doesn't call that mermaid over, she might catch a cold after one night.

What else can a mermaid do in the sea besides looking for food?

Xiang Wan no longer had any expectations of him; she just wanted him to be safe.

The sound of splashing water grew louder as it approached, and by the moonlight, Xiang Wan saw a shimmering fish tail rapidly drawing near.

With that kind of speed, who else could it be but a Siren?

"Ah ah ee ee ya ya (Siren, where have you gone?)?"

Xiangwan stretched out her hands, asking for a hug.

She was determined to go all out; she didn't want to be alone, even if it meant just watching the sirens' antics.

There are so many giant animals in the sea that it's impossible to guard against them all. This time, we encountered a sunfish that happened to know a giant octopus, and an oarfish that only wanted to eat the sunfish. No one can guarantee what we'll encounter next. What if we get swallowed whole?

Compared to life, saving face is utterly unimportant. Anyway, she's still a baby, and the Sirens seem to be quite powerful mermaids in the sea; not following them would be the height of a madman.

The siren swam up to her and stretched out what it was holding: a small net woven from seaweed appeared in front of Xiang Wan.

Who would have thought that male mermaids could weave pouches? This has truly broadened Xiang Wan's horizons.

Rather than being carried around by him, Xiang Wan would rather be put into this little net bag and carried by the siren.

Nodding expectantly, Xiang Wan waited to be taken away.

However, reality proved them wrong.

That net bag wasn't the brood pouch Xiang Wan thought it was, but rather a food container used by the sirens.

To Xiang Wan's astonishment, the siren opened the net, pulled out a white, gooey object, and shoved it into Xiang Wan's mouth.

Before she could react, her mouth was filled with a cool liquid.

The siren was incredibly strong; she held onto her head tightly and wouldn't let go.

Forced to ingest a lot of unknown liquid, Xiang Wan felt as if her tears were about to drown her body.

My stomach feels stuffy, and my heart feels even more blocked.

Xiang Wan wanted to ask what exactly the siren was feeding her, and whether it would kill her.

However, she couldn't speak. Even Xiang Wan herself couldn't understand what a baby was saying, let alone a mermaid.

After the siren finished feeding and was satisfied, it tied the white thing tightly to its chest with a sturdy, thin rope.

A question flashed through Xiang Wan's mind about how a mermaid could have ropes, but she quickly lost her attention to the fishy smell in her mouth.

She really felt like throwing up, but under the siren's focused gaze, she managed to hold it in.

For some reason, Xiang Wan actually understood the siren's eyes; they contained relief and joy.

What's there to be thankful for? What's there to be happy about?

Xiang Wan didn't understand, but she knew that the mermaid was really feeding her with all his might. Because there were some barely noticeable scars on the inside of his arms, and his fish tail had lost some scales and looked somewhat dull.

"Wow, Xiang Wan, that's amazing! The siren actually went to get the most incredible milk for you."

The system's exclamation startled Xiang Wan.

As long as it's breast milk, that's fine. As for what kind of breast milk it is, the system absolutely refuses to say, so Xiang Wan doesn't ask anymore.

Anyway, she'll find out sooner or later.

Xiang Wan genuinely dislikes the fact that she feels sleepy after eating.

Her eyelids started to droop, and forcing herself to stay open was no use. Xiang Wan simply buried her face in Siren's arms, letting him carry her around.

Siren looked at the small figure in front of her, reached out her fingertip to tap her cheek, then realized her nails were too sharp, so she gently brushed her finger along Xiang Wan's earlobe and smiled with satisfaction.

When Xiang Wan woke up again, she found herself still inside the clam shell, with those large pearls cushioning her back, which was not comfortable at all.

With the old clam's protection, Xiang Wan could sleep soundly. The siren would come every day or two or three days, stuffing white things into her mouth.

Xiang Wan later realized that it was the swim bladder of a large fish, which the sirens had used to collect milk.

For this alone, Xiang Wan had to admire him.

If it were her, she definitely wouldn't have thought of such a good method so quickly.

She spent about half a month being fed like this, listening to the giant octopus boast about who was fighting outside, where there was good food, and how many babies another fish had given birth to. Life was alright. However, she was, after all, human; how could she not bask in the sun?

That day, the siren came again, and Xiang Wan used all the strength she had gathered throughout the day to kick her legs and beg for a hug.
