Chapter 629 Vampire Hunter (Part 8)

Arthur's mouth gaped open, and he was stunned for a long time. But seeing Xiang Wan's bewildered expression, he couldn't help but say with disdain, "Hey Audra, you actually like this kind of trash? Have you been picky for too long and forgotten the taste of human blood in all its different flavors?"

Audra glanced at Arthur, then at Xiang Wan, and said disdainfully, "An ugly vampire like you has no right to say such things."

That's heartbreaking!

Arthur clutched his chest. In terms of strength, he believed he was no less than Audra. The only thing he couldn't match was his appearance.

Arthur isn't actually ugly, but unfortunately he has an unchanging baby face that hasn't changed since he grew up.

Originally, he wanted to wait until his face was more mature, and after completing the Embrace, he could use his looks to pick up girls. But Audra's words changed his mind: he said that picking up girls depends on money and ability, not looks.

He was too young back then and fell for Audra's trick, which is why he still hasn't won over the vampire beauty he desires, and he always sees his crush secretly in love with Audra.

Audra, that cunning fellow, must have been afraid that he was better looking than him, so he cut off his escape route.

Yes, that must be it!

After making his own assumptions, Arthur felt much better and teased, "With your standards, would you even look at anyone who isn't as good-looking as you? You haven't had a bed partner for so many years, don't tell me this is the kind of person you like."

Arthur's eyes were filled with criticism and mockery, all directed at Xiang Wan.

Xiang Wan was also helpless. What had she done to deserve this? Should she remind Audra with every word that she, this filthy prey, was still there? She was afraid that Audra would remember what he had just done and would be unable to resist throwing her into the pool to wash her clean, turning her into a blood slave completely.

Given that the person in front of her was also a prince, Xiang Wan couldn't get a word in edgewise, so she could only lie there quietly and try to minimize her presence.

Audra wiped his hands and mouth with a white handkerchief, but it wasn't clean enough, so he did it again.

After doing all this, he said to Arthur, "He's better looking than you."

That hurts again. Arthur felt like he was just asking for trouble by coming here.

Odra is such a freak that he can't be judged by common sense; he'd better leave as soon as possible.

"It's so late, I won't bother you any longer. I still have a lot of things to do in the territory. See you next time."

"Wait!"

Audra's two unhurried words froze Arthur in place.

At this moment, Arthur was filled with regret. Why hadn't he just left? Why did he have to stay and see what was going on? Now, he feared he wouldn't be able to protect anything he had left in the castle.

"Using my connections to benefit you? Is there such a thing as a free lunch?" Audra approached Arthur, snatching the only valuable item he was carrying. "Bring me what you left behind, and I'll return what you have. One quarter of an hour, or else!"

Arthur was on the verge of tears. He had practically delivered himself to be robbed, hadn't he?!

The princely crest bestowed upon him by the Blood Emperor Lofit was carved from a rare, exquisite stone, a treasure of immense benefit to vampires, aiding his cultivation and serving as a symbol of his status. In this appearance-obsessed era, the crest might be merely an ornament to others, but to him, it held immense significance—it was the sole indicator of whether he could escape his single status. He even planned to present the crest as part of his future spouse's dowry.

Audra wouldn't have cared about anything else, but this badge was his Achilles' heel! Knowing Audra's temperament, if he couldn't offer something to satisfy him, the badge would likely change hands. Poor Audra, not only did he make a wasted trip, but he also lost quite a few good things.

Arthur wanted to just grab it, but Audra's powers were too abnormal; once something was in his hands, no one could get it back without his permission.

Both are vampires, but Odra is not only good-looking, but his superpowers are also so abnormally powerful that they are inhuman. Isn't that infuriating?

"Aren't you leaving yet? Waiting for me to take you?"

"I'm leaving now, I'll be right back!"

Arthur teleported away quickly, but before leaving, he gave Xiang Wan a sharp look.

Xiang Wan was also exhausted. Simon's glare at her was understandable. She hadn't done anything wrong to Arthur, yet she was being glared at. Wasn't this a case of gods fighting and the little devil suffering the consequences?

There was no sound in the room. Xiang Wan sat up and heard a faint voice behind her. She almost thought it was a ghost and threw ice needles at herself.

"If you're not clean in fifteen minutes, I'll suck you dry."

Good heavens, the Audra people are all gone, but their voices are still here. Apart from long-distance telepathy, Xiang Wan really can't figure out what kind of superpower this is.

She quickly went downstairs to drain the water and washed herself thoroughly with the cold water.

With her constitution, how could someone who practices the Frost Technique be afraid of the cold? It's just that without soap and other bathing supplies, she probably can't wash herself as clean as Audra imagined.

With five minutes to go, Xiang Wan was just about to call it a day when she noticed that the room, which previously only had a bathtub, suddenly had a lot more toiletries.

So, could she interpret this as Audra peeping at her while she was showering?

Xiang Wan shuddered. She couldn't even imagine being spied on by a vampire prince; the thought alone made her scalp tingle.

She quickly washed up again, her hair smelling sweet, before getting up.

Her old clothes were no longer wearable, so she thought of looking for clothes in the closet. Unexpectedly, halfway there she saw a red uniform neatly folded and placed on the windowsill.

With a sigh, seeing that no one was around, Xiang Wan picked up the clothes and randomly chose an empty room to change into.

This is a very retro court dress, with narrow-legged trousers and a mid-length uniform. The belt and epaulettes indicate that it was custom-made for a nobleman's son or a male member of the royal family.

Whether it was specially made or not, when Xiang Wan wore it, it looked as if it was tailor-made for him.

"Come to the main hall."

Audra's voice was practically everywhere.

He spoke up as soon as Xiang Wan finished dressing. No one would believe he wasn't spying on her.

Walking upstairs in her tall boots, Xiang Wan strode with the elegance and poise of a true aristocrat. She thought that perhaps Audra had made her dress like this so she could impersonate someone. Therefore, she couldn't disappoint him.

As Xiang Wan stepped into the main hall, Audra's gaze never left her. His expression—a look of reminiscence, a longing gaze, a look of something lost and then regained—almost made Xiang Wan lose her composure.

When Xiang Wan walked up to Audra, she didn't say anything, letting him look her over.

As Audra looked at Xiang Wan, it was more like he was looking through Xiang Wan at someone else, someone who was very important to him.

"Odella, I've found everything you wanted. This time, just don't..."

The person who came saw Xiang Wan and froze on the spot, even forgetting to pick up the box that fell from their arms.

"He, who is...?"
