Seeing Lin Wushuang's eyes seemingly glancing at the chicken leg, Xiang Wan suddenly raised her hand before putting the chicken leg in his bowl and said, "Baby, look how hard I've worked, shouldn't you show your appreciation by feeding me a chicken leg?"
Lin Wushuang paused, angrily picked up the silver pen, quickly grabbed the vegetarian dishes next to her, and put them on her own plate without even glancing at Xiang Wan.
"Honey, this chicken leg smells delicious, don't you want some?"
Xiang Wan circled the chicken leg in front of him, her face full of anticipation.
Lin Wushuang lowered her eyes and simply ate her rice.
"Not eating? Then all these chicken legs are mine."
Xiang Wan smiled, gathered the whole plate of chicken legs in front of her, and then stared longingly at Lin Wushuang's rice bowl.
Being watched while eating wasn't something Lin Wushuang was so shameless as to ignore and continue eating. Instead, she slammed her chopsticks on the stone table and glared at the person, "Are you going to eat or not?"
"Honey, I think your cooking is delicious. Even the white rice smells amazing, otherwise..."
With a "smack," Lin Wushuang simply slammed his bowl down in front of Xiang Wan.
"Eat it or don't, it's up to you!"
Lin Wushuang stood up and walked out of the pavilion.
Her clothes fluttered in the moonlight, a truly pleasing sight.
Xiang Wan ate two bowls of white rice while watching his figure, without touching any of the colorful, fragrant, and delicious dishes.
Lin Wushuang occasionally turned around and saw Xiang Wan eating. He frowned and left her with his back turned.
Xiang Wan quickly shoveled the rice in her bowl and laughed loudly, "Beauty is food for the eyes; now I finally understand that."
Lin Wushuang's earlobes turned slightly red. He just couldn't understand how there could be such a shameless person in the world who found his leftovers so delicious.
Xiang Wan finished eating, let out a burp, took out a handkerchief to wipe her mouth, and walked over to Lin Wushuang's side. Together they looked at the flower city shrouded in darkness.
The brightest part was the royal palace, followed by the residences of the various court officials and noble ladies.
“My dear, do you know what I once dreamed of? In my dream, at night, the lights of every house in Huadu shone brighter than the stars in the sky. People no longer stayed at home at night, but went out into the streets, playing and laughing, or boating on the lake with their loved ones. Huadu was even more lively at night than during the day. At that time, you and I could walk side by side in the streets, and occasionally a few children would run past, and you would give them candied hawthorns. Our children could also play freely in the streets and buy whatever they wanted with their own money.”
As Xiang Wan slowly recounted her dream, Lin Wushuang was somewhat moved.
He never imagined who he would walk alongside in the future.
The person beside him was a high-ranking king, yet he spoke to him about the lives of ordinary people.
If this is a dream, perhaps he can let it linger a little longer.
"So, my darling, your future is with me. Wherever you go, remember, I will find you, and we will live together to see our dreams come true, okay?"
Lin Wushuang was somewhat taken aback by these sudden words.
Before he could figure it out, an arrow shot out from his side with a "whoosh".
Without thinking, he grabbed Xiang Wan and pulled her down the mountain.
"Baby, wait for me!"
These were the last words he heard before he fell into a coma.
