Bai Ying held a document in her hand, pretending to flip through the pages, but her eyes betrayed her.
She flipped through the pages several times, but her gaze couldn't focus on what she was looking at, and she kept blinking, which indicated that she was a little nervous.
Xiang Wan was a little curious. Since she was the one answering the question, why was Bai Ying so nervous?
Turning her gaze away, Xiang Wan looked up at Wang Hua and asked, "Does your question represent the company?"
Before he could answer, Xiang Wan continued, "If you were asking this personally, I could choose not to answer. The obvious discrimination drew ire from Wang Hua, veins bulging on his forehead and barely concealing the anger in his eyes.
Zhang Qitian's eyes flashed with appreciation, and he then said to Wang Hua, "Manager Wang, you will assist us in the investigation, but we hope you will not interfere with the process. Any issues should be resolved privately after our investigation is complete."
Wang Hua's expression turned somewhat unpleasant as he spoke bluntly. He glared at Xiang Wan, leaned back in his chair, and adopted an attitude of indifference.
Xiang Wan understood and said to Zhang Qitian, "I can tell you what happened that day. But before I answer, can I ask you if the company's surveillance cameras that night were malfunctioning or damaged?"
With just one sentence, the look in everyone's eyes changed.
