The entrance to the Miracle Ruins is located at the border between the southern swamp and the eastern blazing desert.
In this extremely hot and humid place, there is a long mountain range, teeming with birds, beasts, fish, and insects. However, under the oppressive presence at the entrance to the ruins, they either dare not show their faces or have already fled.
When Xiang Wan and her group arrived by airship, there were already quite a few people waiting.
The White Fox Clan led by Bai Xuan, the Flower Clan led by Yuehua, Han Nuopeng of the Peng Bird Clan, and the figures that Xiang Wan had seen through the lake, including those from the same sect as Wang Lin and Song Bo, all dressed in the same clothes.
After disembarking from the flying boat, Lord Lanshan led everyone in bowing to Bai Xuan and Yuehua, while the rest of the group clasped their hands in greeting.
In this world, strength still reigns supreme. Of the three remaining immortals, Sui Xushan is one of them; how could they possibly be enemies? Even if they don't befriend them, they certainly don't want to offend them.
Some people waited there, hoping that the stronger individuals would lead the way. Others were willing to pay a price to have someone else carry them. The rest observed, knowing that the ruins of the divine relic were fraught with danger, and caution was always a good idea.
"Lord Blue Mountain, the ruins of a divine relic are no ordinary secret realm. Do you need the assistance of my White Fox Clan?"
Bai Xuan sized up Xiang Wan and the others, his white eyebrows twitching slightly, and he made this suggestion in a very polite manner.
Lord Lanshan smiled and shook his head, saying, "This is the Immortal Venerable's intention, so there's no need for Immortal Bai Xuan to trouble himself."
Bai Xuan nodded, smiling as he looked at Yuehua, seemingly waiting for her to speak.
Yuehua raised an eyebrow and subtly sized up Xiangwan, especially the accessories around her waist. She then cupped her hands to Bai Xuan and said, "Since the Purple-Clad Immortal cannot go in personally, we might as well stay outside to guard against any unforeseen circumstances."
After saying that, she instructed the people behind her, "Qinghua, lead the disciples inside and be careful in everything you do."
"yes!"
After Qinghua finished speaking, she flew towards the entrance first, followed by the female disciples.
Once someone took the lead, the other sects followed suit. Seeing that Bai Xuan and the others made no move, they each flew inside.
Some had already formed private groups and flew in together.
The entrance to the ruins of the miracle is a gentle barrier, obscuring the view inside, yet emanating a powerful aura.
After everyone had left, Bai Xuanming ordered Bai Siyuan to lead the team, following behind Xiang Wan and the others.
There was no one at the entrance, so Yuehua suggested that they visit Sui Xushan.
When Bai Xuan saw her leave, he shamelessly followed her.
Even immortals sometimes need a little gossip for entertainment.
As for Xiang Wan, after she flew into the barrier, she could no longer see anything around her; it was all a vast expanse of white.
After flying for about 15 minutes, her body suddenly plummeted downwards, and no matter how she tried to stabilize herself with her spiritual energy, it was to no avail.
The speed of the fall increased, and in a moment, the fog disappeared, and Xiang Wan found herself in darkness, with soft soil beneath her feet and the sound of flowing water all around her, dripping and pattering.
When one releases their spiritual sense, they see a dense network of caves all around. The dripping water isn't water droplets at all, but rather saliva dripping from countless fist-sized mouths.
Where their saliva dripped, inverted, transparent stalactite-like objects gradually formed.
Xiang Wan stood in the center of the cave, not making any rash moves.
These creatures dwelling in the cave seemed unaware of Xiang Wan. After each drop of saliva fell, they would shrink back inside, then stretch their heads out again, repeating the same action.
"There's no strange smell, and I can't sense any spiritual energy. The entire cave seems to have no other exits besides these dwellings. The ground is soft, and the surroundings are all transparent. What is it used for?"
Xiang Wan stood there for a moment, then slowly moved to the side.
These things kept moving, steadily dripping saliva downwards.
A wisp of spiritual fire ignited at her fingertips, and Xiang Wan opened her eyes, taking in her surroundings.
The cave walls were sticky and entirely white. Inside the cave, the creature's head was about half the size of a basketball, with no eyes, only a mouth. The protruding head and the body connected to it were all black, but the saliva was translucent.
The ground beneath their feet wasn't soil, but layers upon layers of black, sticky material, seemingly the shed skin of these creatures. Judging from their shape, their heads were less than half the size of their bodies, and their length was definitely over two zhang (approximately 6.6 meters).
As Xiang Wan was observing, a drop of saliva silently dripped onto the exposed collar of her clothes after she lowered her head.
He quickly turned around and looked up. A soft-bodied creature, three times larger than anything around it, was hanging upside down in mid-air, its dark mouth, the size of a basketball, open, staring at Xiang Wan.
The soft-bodied creature slowly turned its head, seemingly searching for the location of dusk.
As Xiang Wan stepped back, the creature quickly found its target and dripped saliva precisely, almost extinguishing the flame in her hand.
"What kind of place is this? I've heard that some animals don't have eyes and rely on bristles to sense their location by touching the ground. But this animal doesn't have bristles or a nose. Does it use heat sensing to find its prey?"
Xiang Wan moved the flames aside, quickly mobilized the cold energy within her body to lower her body temperature to the minimum, and then covered herself with a thick layer of ice armor.
Just as I finished doing all that, the flame beside me was extinguished with a "poof" from the saliva.
Without a light source, Xiang Wan released her divine sense.
The creature that had been standing on top of the ceiling spun around in mid-air and then fell to the ground with a "thud".
Its body was ten zhang long, and with a slight twist, it almost swept Xiang Wan away.
She quickly slipped to the side, used her spiritual power to condense a flame again, lit the talisman in her storage bag, and floated into the air.
"Sizzle!"
The soft-bodied creature turned its head, and a spurt of saliva swiftly and accurately extinguished the flame.
