Four warriors clad in mechanical armor stepped down and approached them towards Wanwan.
Xiang Wan silently crawled backward, counting their footsteps in her mind.
The bait was never the lifeboat, but these five living, breathing people!
Five, four, three, two, one, launch!
Xiang Wan pressed the button on her helmet, and the ropes on the lifeboat immediately shot out in all directions, binding three of the four soldiers tightly before they were quickly dragged back to the lifeboat.
The remaining one, seeing his companion bound, was about to fire a light particle disintegration cannon when Song Yang blasted him into nothingness with an annihilation bomb.
"Fuck you!"
Sufo was furious on the ship. In his view, how could an old-fashioned lifeboat possibly deal with them who were armed with advanced weapons?
However, reality slapped him hard in the face. Su Fu'ao was furious. He pushed aside his subordinates in the control room who were directing the ships and adjusted the weapon launchers himself, seemingly intending to blast Xiang Wan and his men to death.
Xiang Wan leaped a few steps to the lifeboat, disarmed the three soldiers, aimed the quantum decomposition gun at one of the soldiers' arms, and shot him unconscious from the pain without saying a word.
The quantum decomposition gun may not seem very powerful, and it doesn't produce any flashes, but objects hit by it will break down into countless pieces, like a square grid, from large to small, and eventually disappear into space.
The soldier was more likely to have fainted from shock than from the pain. After all, he had never seen such a bizarre attack method before.
Su Fuao saw this scene in the control room and was so angry that his eyes turned red.
Although he was stationed in this godforsaken place with no women and no entertainment, these soldiers were his comrades-in-arms who were with him day and night, so how could he not have feelings for them?
Having witnessed one person disappear and another have their arms dismembered, leaving them disabled, his desire to kill Xiang Wan had long been uncontrollable.
"Don't act impulsively, or who knows who will be next."
Xiang Wan set the communication on her helmet to a universal channel. Her voice, though youthful, was calm and transmitted perfectly into the warship.
With their chips in hand, Song Yang and his men emerged from their hiding place and stood around her.
Sufoao, aboard the warship, watched this scene with a chillingly cold gaze.
"You think you can escape?"
"Red Star has been destroyed, and you still haven't realized it. Do you think he'll let you off the hook?"
"What?!"
"There's no doubt that in the entire Rainbow Twin Solar System, no one has escaped Red Star except us. And you have become our witness. Whether he will silence everyone on the planet or make you and your companions who have seen these inhumane weapons disappear forever, I think you know very well in your heart."
"Hmph, a mere child who hasn't even grown a beard yet dares to talk big to me. Let them go, or I'll risk my life to make you all pay with your lives!"
Su Fu'ao's care for his subordinates is truly commendable and rare.
In today's military, backstabbing, factionalism, and underhanded tactics are commonplace. Perhaps it is precisely because of leaders who resort to dirty tricks that such a culture has developed. Genuine camaraderie may only exist among the lowest-ranking soldiers.
Appreciation is one thing, but what to do next is another.
"I imagine you have no relatives, friends, or family on Red Star, right? The soldiers stationed here aren't from this solar system, because he's afraid you'll be soft-hearted, meddle, and ruin his promotion plans. I know you're having the communications officer at your base check Red Star's situation. Let me remind you, don't report it directly to Osa. Believe me, reporting it to him won't get you rescue, but rather your destruction."
"I can kill you all and still live a good life."
"You, are you willing to do that?"
Xiang Wan held a quantum decomposition gun to a soldier's head, the threat clearly evident.
"Captain, kill them."
The soldier standing next to Sufoao showed a hint of reluctance on his face, yet he persisted in his stance.
Su Fu'ao turned around abruptly, gave the soldier a cold look, then turned to stare at Xiang Wan, before suddenly punching the soldier to the ground without warning.
Before he could react, Su Fu'ao stepped forward, grabbed him by the neck, and said through gritted teeth, "They are comrades-in-arms, not robots!"
The soldier's throat was being choked, his face turning red, but he showed no sign of yielding. His mouth moved, "Kill them, cough, them!"
Su Fuao narrowed his eyes, pushed the soldier to the ground, and then knocked him unconscious with a chop to the neck.
Back in the control room, Su Fuo's eyes were devoid of any warmth.
What do you want?
"Grey".
"Why?"
"Let's leave here and go wherever we want. From now on, the universe and the stars will be unrelated to each other."
Su Fuo did not answer, his fingers tapping lightly on the console, as if he was hesitating.
Xiang Wan didn't give him a chance to think further. "If you don't respond within fifteen minutes, the mole in your base will report directly to Osa. At that point, we'll all be doomed. I can help you put on a show to expose the mole, and from then on, this place will be yours. How about it?"
Su Fuo's hand, which was tapping on the control panel, paused.
His eyes were terrifyingly deep.
Why should I believe you?
"Because they will return to your ship unharmed."
