Chapter 150 The Adulthood of a Cannon Fodder Zombie 32

After putting the person in the car, Captain Qian didn't care at all about the bloodstains on his body. He turned around and looked at Sui Yi and the other person.

"Miss and sir, please make yourselves uncomfortable sitting inside the carriage."

"It's alright, but you should be careful," Suiyi replied.

"I'm fine, I believe he will pull through."

Sui Yi nodded, and Luo Jingli got into the car first, then pulled Sui Yi up with him.

There were only twelve people in the carriage. Three of them were members of the superpower team. Apart from Sui Yi and her companion, there were seven survivors: two women, one child, and four men.

Everyone remained silent, but one woman kept glancing at Suiyi and her companion, though Suiyi guessed she was mostly looking at the man beside her.

“A handsome man is a source of trouble.” Sui Yi glanced at someone’s resolute chin and muttered to herself.

Luo Jingli has exceptionally good hearing; she heard even her soft mutterings.

He turned his head and looked at her with amusement. He reached out and took her hand, put his arm around her shoulder, and pulled her into his embrace.

Suiyi was caught off guard and he managed to get his hands on her.

She couldn't help but roll her eyes at him.

"Hey, tone it down. Can't you see that woman over there is practically trying to eat me alive?"

Sui Yi communicated with Luo Jingli using her mental powers.

"Who? I don't see anyone. Can't you see that my eyes are full of you?"

"..." The man's sweet words were so sweet that Sui Yi couldn't help but feel incredibly happy.

"Congratulations, your flirting skills have improved a notch again."

"Did I manage to flirt with you?"

"Of course." Sui Yi was also frank. Anyway, after spending a year with this person, he was constantly lowering her standards, so she had gotten used to it.

Their interactions were considered scandalous by others, especially by women who had taken a liking to Luo Jingli. They particularly disliked Sui Yi, turning their heads and smirking, practically spitting fire with jealousy!

#Bored# Sui Yi rolled her eyes inelegantly as she looked into the woman's fiery eyes.

Half an hour later, as people were swaying and moving forward in the car, there was a sudden hard brake. Several people who were not sitting properly fell to the ground due to inertia.

After the car came to a complete stop, Sui Yi pulled Luo Jingli out of the car quickly.

I walked to the driver's side of the car and saw that the door was open and there was some blood on it.

Inside the car, Qian Yangsheng, covered in sweat, reached out and pressed down on the man's head and hands. Sui Yi saw the man struggling.

"Ah! Zombies."

"Captain Qian, kill him quickly!" People who got off the bus out of curiosity heard a sound like a zombie's roar and urged Qian Yangsheng to kill the man.

"Shut up!" Annoyed by the noise, Qian Yangsheng turned around and roared at the people who were talking.

Sui Yi frowned and glanced at Luo Jingli, who immediately understood what she was about to do.

Luo Jingli raised his hands and made a few strokes in the air, and lightning bound the man, binding his hands, feet and head.

The man's struggles weakened, and Qian Yangsheng's teammates got into the car and helped him down.

Suiyi then went forward to check on the man's condition.

The man's veins were bulging, and his mouth was full of blood. Sui Yi lifted the sleeve of his hand, which had been scratched by the zombie, and saw that there was no change there; it was still just several large, dark scars. He didn't look like a zombie at all.

"Don't worry, he's awakening a superpower, not turning into a zombie." Sui Yi turned to look at the people, her eyes full of sarcasm.

"How can you be so sure he won't turn into a zombie? If you ask me, we should kill him now to prevent him from becoming a zombie and harming us all." The woman stepped out, fanning the flames.

"If you keep spouting nonsense, and he turns into a zombie, I'll be the first to send you to feed him," Sui Yi threatened, unable to tolerate such treacherous people.

“You…” the woman said, pointing a finger at Sui Yi.

"Don't you want your hand anymore?" Sui Yi's face darkened completely as she stared at the woman.

The woman got scared, withdrew her hand, and quietly hid behind the other lucky ones.

Seeing that the woman had behaved herself, Sui Yi turned around and looked at Qian Yangsheng.

"Captain Qian, how are you?"

"It's nothing, I'm just a little exhausted, I'll be fine after a rest!"

"Let's wait and see. We should know his fate in about half an hour!"

Qian Yangsheng was taken aback and looked at her with some confusion.

Sui Yi nodded, and Qian Yangsheng understood. It turned out she had lied earlier about not turning into a zombie. But, as the saying goes, "don't expose what you've seen through," so he said nothing more.

Sui Yi walked to Luo Jingli's side, standing and observing the various aspects of life. Although it was only a small number of people, it already reflected the entire social structure.

"Are you tired? Let's find a place to sit down." Luo Jingli looked at her gently, paying no attention to anyone else.

"...I'm not tired, I haven't done anything." Although Sui Yi said this, she still found a place to sit down, leaned on Luo Jingli's shoulder, and closed her eyes to rest.

Half an hour later, the sounds of the man struggling in the truck subsided. Sui Yi opened her eyes, exchanged a glance with Luo Jingli, and got up to walk closer to the truck.

The veins on the man's face had disappeared, and his complexion was no longer flushed. After carefully sensing it, Sui Yi detected a blazing energy within the man's body. It seemed that the man was very fortunate to have awakened his fire-type ability.

"How is he?" Qian Yangsheng walked over and asked with concern.

"He's fine. He's awakened his fire-based abilities and should be fully conscious in a few minutes! Let's get going."

"Haha, good! Good!" Qian Yangsheng was overjoyed upon hearing Sui Yi's words and couldn't help but burst into laughter. One more superhuman meant one more layer of security, and one more layer of strength for humanity.

"Everyone get on the bus, get on the bus!" Qian Yangsheng called out to everyone to get on the bus, and after everyone was on board, he started the car.

"Jingli, should we go with them to the base, or should we separate from them once we get nearby?"

“Let’s separate! From Qian Yangsheng’s words, we can see Zhang Yelin’s current status in the base. I guess we’ll have to think long and hard before we can kill him.”

"How about we sneak in quietly?"

Luo Jingli looked at her disapprovingly. He would never let her take such a risk. Even though he knew that with her current abilities, very few people could possibly hurt her, he didn't want even that one in a thousand chance to happen.

"From now on, listen to me."

"Mm!" Suiyi nodded.

Seeing the girl in front of him obediently, the man doted on her even more! If it weren't for the people in his way, Luo Jingli would have already been itching to do something else!

"Smash it, smash it!" Sui Yi called out to the system in her mind, but there was no response.

"Where did this system go? It's not online when I need it."

Sui Yi wanted to find the system to check on Zhang Yelin's matter, but the system was nowhere to be found. She then remembered that even if the system was not there, she could still use some of the system's permissions.

Suiyi checked the download progress several times, and it showed 50% at each time.

"So slow!" He couldn't help but feel discouraged. It seemed that he couldn't rely on the system for anything for the time being!

After driving for four hours, they finally arrived in the city. Suiyi and Qian Yangsheng got out of the car and said goodbye, then leisurely strolled around the city.
