Chapter 188 The Cannon Fodder Special Police Officer's Husband-Catching Adventure 21

Sui Yi carried the fat woman directly to the principal's office, where the principal was working on some documents. Seeing Sui Yi carrying such a large woman, the principal was incredulous, even taking off her glasses to wipe them before putting them back on.

"Um, what happened?" the headmaster asked.

"Stand still!" he said, twitching his lips as he looked at the woman he was grabbing at.

"Cough cough!" After the fat woman stood on the ground, Sui Yi released the fat woman's collar, and the fat woman's legs went weak, and she almost fell to the ground.

Thankfully, Suiyi pulled her up and got her to sit on the sofa. With that weight, if she fell to the ground, she probably wouldn't be able to get up even with great effort.

The woman calmed down, and Suiyi, not in a hurry, found a seat in the office and sat down.

"What's going on?" the headmaster whispered in her ear.

"She'll tell you herself in a bit." Sui Yi poured herself a glass of water and drank it. She was really quite chubby. She hadn't moved around in a long time, and her arms felt a little sore. It seemed she should move around more in the future.

After catching her breath, the woman, relying on her size, glared arrogantly at Suiyi, then looked at the headmaster.

"Principal, are all the teachers here so rude? How dare you lay a hand on me in front of so many children and parents? How can I possibly save face like this?" She slammed her hand on the table, her face contorted with rage, the fat on her face trembling with every movement.

"Uh, parent, don't be angry, let's talk this out. What exactly happened?" the principal tried to calm the plump woman down.

"I came to pick up my child today, and it turned out that my child had been hit by other children. Isn't this because the teacher was not supervising them properly?"

"How did the fight go?" the principal asked with a worried expression.

"Needless to say, our baby's face was scratched until it bled! I don't know if it will leave a scar."

"If he is indeed disfigured, then let's take him to the hospital to get it checked out."

"That's for sure."

"So you're sure it was someone else's child who scratched him? And not your child?"

"My child isn't stupid, why would they hurt themselves?"

"You need to provide evidence for your statement. We have surveillance footage, and we'll check it right away."

"This..." The fat woman was at a loss, because she wasn't there and didn't know the specifics of what was going on. But she was also the kind of person who knew there were tigers in the mountains but still went into them anyway, and she was very strong-willed.

"Go ahead and check the security footage," he said, feigning confidence.

"What if the truth is different from what you're saying? Think about what price you'll pay?"

"Price? Oh, I see. You're short of money, aren't you? You're trying to extort money from me, aren't you?" He even looked like he knew exactly what was going on.

"With your nouveau riche appearance, who would want your money?"

“To tell you the truth, I lack everything except money,” Sui Yi retorted directly.

"Alright. Both of you, keep quiet. What's the truth? Let's look at the surveillance footage first."

Next, the principal led two people to the location where the surveillance cameras were installed. On the monitors, they watched the recordings from an hour prior.

The video showed Teacher Ye leaving, and Suiyi getting her food while two little boys were playing together. One was the chubby boy, and the other was the child sitting next to him. Suddenly, Haohao accidentally hit the other boy in the stomach. The other boy retaliated. Haohao happened to be looking down when the other boy's hand hit Haohao's face. Haohao immediately covered his face and started crying.

Suiyi paused the recording and looked at the fat woman.

"So? Do you know the truth now? And what you saw today—the scar on Hao Hao's right cheek—is clearly a pimple. He couldn't resist the itch and scratched it until it bled. Is there any need to keep watching the surveillance footage?"

"You could have explained this to me back then. You brought me to your office and made me lose face so much. How am I supposed to face my family after this?"

“Did you even give me a chance to speak? Ever since you heard your child complaining, you've been criticizing the teacher. Teacher Ye has said so many things to you, but you never listen. Instead, you're stubborn. In my opinion, you deserve all of this.”

"Why are you talking like that? My temper is bothering you."

"Yes, you're getting in my way. If you're so capable, then don't make noise in my classroom. You're blocking other parents from picking up their kids, delaying our departure time, and hindering our daily schedule. Isn't that your fault?"

"Uh, both of you, please say no more. Our argument is all about the child. Now, let Teacher Ye bring the child in for a visit." Just as Yuan Chang finished speaking, there was a knock on the office door.

"Please come in!"

When the door opened, it was Teacher Ye and Hao Hao who came in.

"Baby." Seeing her child, the plump woman ran over and hugged him tightly.

"Mommy." The child called out. The overweight woman suddenly burst into tears. All her grievances stemmed from her child.

"Parents' hearts are always full of love and concern. Hao Hao's parents, you've raised children yourself. When you're at home with your child, whether it's one-on-one or two-on-one, it's inevitable that they'll bump into things. Imagine how much more difficult it is for a kindergarten teacher to supervise dozens of children. There are many times when they can't keep an eye on everyone. And if your child is particularly mischievous, something might happen in a moment of inattention. These things can't be entirely blamed on our teachers. They've already tried their best to be perfect. Excessive pampering is irresponsible. Who doesn't grow up through bumps and bruises? Does any child grow up without ever getting hurt? Experiencing more injuries actually helps them learn resilience. Being overly cautious is detrimental to a child's development. We won't pursue this matter further. Let's just let it go." The principal said earnestly to the plump woman.

The fat woman realized she was being stubborn. Since the principal had given her a way out, there was no need for her to stay stuck on it.

Just then, the phone in the plump woman's bag rang. She picked it up somewhat sheepishly; it was her husband calling.

"Has something happened? Why haven't you come home yet?" came the question from the other end of the phone after the fat woman answered.

"Oh, it's nothing, just a small matter. I'll be right back after I've taken care of it!"

"Okay!" The other end of the phone hung up after saying that.

After putting her phone back in her bag, the overweight woman, holding her child's hand, apologized to the kindergarten director and then left.

Ye Ranran breathed a sigh of relief after the fat woman left. Thank goodness. Li Jun hadn't beaten her up without any reason.

“This matter was handled very well. I can’t stand seeing our teachers groveling to parents when something happens to them. We don’t owe them anything. In the future, when dealing with parents, be polite to those who are polite, but don’t give face to those who are unreasonable. As for the consequences, I will take responsibility.”

"Thank you, Director. We'll head home now."

"Okay! Be careful on the road."
