Chapter 244 From Cannon Fodder Patient to Healer 21

In the past few days, Suiyi noticed that Lou Yan had become a bit strange, no longer going to school with her. She wondered what he was up to all this time. Often, he would leave early in the morning and return very late, and if she asked him, he couldn't answer her questions at all.

It's strange, she can't even answer questions about what she did. There must be something fishy going on. Suiyi decided to take a few days off and carefully follow what the man was doing.

She was definitely not afraid that he would mess around outside... But then she thought, someone like him is so easy to fool right now, he would probably believe anything people say.

I'm still a little worried, afraid that the wolf cub I've raised for so long will be snatched away by someone.

This morning, Suiyi got up very early. After hearing the door open, she pulled back a corner of the curtain and looked down. She saw a man sneaking out of the room, dressed rather strangely. Suiyi wanted to complain about the clothes he was wearing!

He was wearing a white shirt and ripped jeans, looking like a handsome young man. This guy, at your age, you could easily be someone's uncle! Lou Yan seems to be thirty this year.

Three minutes after Lou Yan left, Sui Yi gently turned the Youluo Ring on her hand, and a connection appeared in Sui Yi's mind.

Sui Yi went out and, following the directions provided, arrived at a high-end club specializing in antiques and calligraphy.

"Good heavens, they actually came all the way here, I wonder what they're up to." Standing in front of the clubhouse, I was filled with mixed emotions.

Sui Yi stepped inside, finding the entire clubhouse opulent and full of charm. The design emphasized a Chinese style, with a serene and rustic overall ambiance. The furniture was antique and elegant, featuring carved tables and classical Chinese-style rooms—all exuding a strong classical feel. More importantly, the clubhouse was filled with valuable antiques: ancient paintings and calligraphy, jade artifacts, antique furniture, fine teas and wines, and more. These items were the centerpieces of the antique shop, attracting customers.

"It seems the creator of this club is quite an extraordinary person. I wonder what role Lou Yan plays in it. The boss? Impossible, he's stupid. An employee? Impossible too, he's stupid. A customer? Impossible as well, because he has no money."

Whether it's a mule or a horse, we'll find out once we go in and see for ourselves.

Sui Yi followed the contact and stopped in front of a room. It didn't seem right to just swagger in like that. Sui Yi looked around and saw a waiter pushing a cart full of bottles of liquor out of a room.

Holy crap, is this a bar or a club? How come people are drinking so much alcohol?

Sui Yi memorized the room number and then wandered around the clubhouse.

On a carved sandalwood shelf were displayed pieces of porcelain and jade. Sui Yi walked over and picked them up to examine them, only to find that many were fakes. The craftsmanship was truly superb! They were enough to pass for the real thing.

As Sui Yi strolled around, she observed the security cameras inside the club. In the corridor, near the left side, she saw a room with the words "changing room" hanging above it, which she guessed was where the employees changed their clothes.

Sui Yi pushed open the door and entered. The room was indeed quite impressive, decorated in an antique style. Sui Yi walked to the wardrobe, reached out and opened the door. The clothes inside stunned her. It turned out this wasn't a changing room for employees, but a costume storage area. The clothes were all delicate long-sleeved pleated skirts—basically, classic attire. There were also hairpins and jeweled ornaments.

Never mind, these things will make it easier to dress up.

Suiyi chose a long red dress, put it on, and then put on a matching hairpin and a red veil.

She truly possessed a captivating charm, her face radiating allure.

Sui Yi got dressed, went out, headed towards the room, and gently knocked on the door. A girl came in and opened the door.

"You..." The girl was stunned when she saw a stunningly beautiful woman in a red performance costume standing at the door!

Look outside, then look inside.

"who?"

"Mr. Hui is a colleague."

"Oh, let her in," the man said indifferently.

The girl put Suiyi inside, and when Suiyi went in and saw it, she was dumbfounded.

There were only three people inside: an old man and Lou Yan.

Sui Yi walked over without making a sound. Lou Yan didn't even look up, continuing to do his own thing. Sui Yi looked over and guessed that the man was painting or writing.

"Hey, hey, what are you doing? Don't get so close and disturb my apprentice's painting." An old man frowned and reached out to stop Sui Yi as she walked closer and closer.

"Oh!" Sui Yi came to her senses and walked to the side to stand, which made the old man look at her strangely, wondering what this girl was up to.

"How is it?" The old man ignored everyone else and walked to the table, looking at Lou Yan.

"I still can't draw it. I don't know why, but the people I draw only look similar but don't capture the spirit, so they don't evoke any feelings in me."

"That's because you don't have inspiration right now. You'll know when inspiration comes. Many things depend on timing."

"But I desperately want to know who she is, teacher. I have a feeling that I will gain something unexpected once I draw her. But right now I can't get into it, and it's making me quite restless." The man looked up at the old man, his eyes filled with weariness.

Sui Yi stood to the side, listening to the man's methodical and unhurried tone. She now understood the gist of it. No wonder the man had been avoiding her these past few days. He wasn't stupid anymore.

"A message has arrived! A message has arrived!" Sui Yi's phone alerted her, drawing the attention of the other three people in the room.

"..." It was a little awkward.

"Who are you? Get out!" Lou Yan said to Sui Yi with displeasure.

Sui Yi ignored it, took out her phone, and opened the text message. What she saw made her furious! The message showed that her bank card was being used by someone else.

"Damn, what's going on?" Sui Yi immediately took off the odds and ends from her body and started assembling them in front of everyone. Before long, a mini computer appeared!

Sui Yi entered her card number and, with a few swift fingers, froze her account. She also checked where her card had been used.

Logically speaking, I only have two cards. The supplementary card is with Lou Yan, and only he knows the password.

"Twenty million was spent." The message indicated that the account was nearby.

"Let's stir things up!" Sui Yi walked over, took off her veil, and looked at Lou Yan.

"Hey! Did you do something?" A foot was propped up on the chair, and the man looked at him with a swagger.
