"I wasn't laughing at anything!" The man stopped chuckling and became serious. His oily black eyes, as alluring as peach blossoms, stared at Ah Xing, his gaze vacant.
"Since even a wisp of her soul power can reach here, it means her return is drawing ever closer! It wasn't in vain that I've waited here all these years." He murmured to himself, recalling the moments he and she had shared. They could have lived happily ever after, but why did she fall for someone else and sacrifice herself for him? Was it really worth it?
"Hmph! The master is back, and so will he. What will you do then? You should know the master's temper. If she doesn't like you, she won't fall for you. If you keep pestering her, it will only make her dislike you."
"He's coming back? Humph! I'll just stop her from seeing him, won't I?"
"Do you think they've become vegetarians after all these years of reincarnation? Besides, you didn't fall in love with your master at all; you just have a mother complex with her."
"Nonsense, I know my own feelings." He glanced sideways at Ah Xing and slowly uttered those tempting words.
"It's time for you to go back, but this time, your mission is to ensure her safety without any mishaps, and most importantly, to break them up with all your might."
"Break them up? That's impossible. You couldn't break them up, let alone me?" I would never do such a thing. You know, I am absolutely the most loyal.
"I knew you were unreliable. As long as you come back, I'll have opportunities and ways to help you."
"Keep it up, kid! I believe in you. There's no wall that can't be dug down, only a hoe that can't be swung; there are no couples that can't be broken up, only mistresses who don't try hard enough." Ah Xing patted the cage and said earnestly.
