"I've looked everywhere, but I don't know where the hidden compartment is located?"
"It sounded like it came from the bedside just now," Qiuniu said honestly.
"By the bed?" Ah Xing and Da Jiao exchanged a glance. They quickly went to the bedside. Ah Xing was small, so he squatted down and saw a square hole under the corner of the bed.
"Da Niu, reach in and feel what's there?" Ah Xing said to Qiu Niu.
"Good!" Qiuniu reached in, groping around, and finally found something. His expression changed.
"How is it? Did you feel anything?"
"I touched it, but it feels a little strange."
"What do you mean? Pull it out and let me see!" Ah Xing urged anxiously.
"Alright!" After saying that, he started pulling it outwards. Nighttime was no different from daytime for the spirit beasts. Once Qiuniu's hand was outside, the other two could see the true nature of the thing: a tail.
"Holy crap, it's a snake's tail!" Ah Xing exclaimed. This shopkeeper was so perverted, keeping snakes under his bed.
Qiuniu pulled all the snakes out as a whole. Perhaps due to the pressure of his strength, the snakes pretended to be dead and remained motionless.
"Did you find anything else?" Big Horn asked.
"It seems there are spirit stones inside. I'll grab them out." After saying that, he reached in again and rummaged through the contents. "Drip, drip, drip!" The items all fell to the ground.
"Good heavens, they're all top-grade spirit stones!" The two beasts' eyes widened in surprise.
"Any more? Bring them all out and take them with you."
"It's gone!" He touched it a few more times, but found nothing.
"Okay! I'm really poor!" Ah Xing picked up the spirit stone and put it into his ring.
