Chapter Fifteen: The Underachiever's Comeback Story 1

After fifteen days in the real world, it was time for Sui Yi to complete her mission. As soon as she was transported to the mission world by the system, she felt pain all over her body. She could also hear a cacophony of curses in her ears.

"Do you think you can even dream of Senior Lin? You're like a toad lusting after a swan! You're daydreaming."

"Pah! If I see you bothering Senior Lin again, it won't be as simple as just a beating!" Saying this, she reached out to grab Sui Yi's hair. Sui Yi felt terrible and extremely annoyed. Reflexively, she quickly grabbed the young delinquent's hand, squeezed hard, and heard a crack—the hand broke.

"Ah! My hand, my hand is broken." The pig-like screams disturbed Sui Yi. Sui Yi came back to her senses, looked at the several girls dressed like delinquents in front of her, and then glanced around. She instantly understood her current situation.

Sui Yi stood up, looked at the women expressionlessly, and said, "Who made the move?"

The girls were all afraid of Sui Yi's imposing presence and retreated one step at a time. With Sui Yi taking a step forward, they took a step back. Being stared at by Sui Yi's eyes, and knowing their companion's hand had just been broken, they were all terrified.

"Very well, since no one's stepping forward, let's beat them all up!" Seeing that no one would admit fault, Sui Yi cracked her neck, swung her arm, grabbed the girl's hand, pulled her forward, and slammed her knee into her stomach. She spun around, executed an over-the-shoulder throw, and slammed the girl to the ground, groaning in pain. Then came the punches and kicks; none of the girls were spared. Looking at the girls rolling on the ground, Sui Yi walked over to the girl who seemed to be the leader, lifted her chin, and asked, "Do we have a grudge?"

"No, not yet," he stammered, his face bruised and swollen.

"Then why did you corner me in the toilet and beat me? Who gave you the guts?"

"I... I... um... sob... it's because we were blind and couldn't stand you. I'm so sorry," the short-haired girl cried.

"Oh! Really? You don't like me? Fine, I don't like you either. I'll give you two days to fix your hair, clothes, and all that mess you're wearing, and make yourself look like a student. You're really affecting the city's appearance and my mood. Got it?"

"Okay, okay."

"If you can't do it, then I'll help you loosen up your muscles!" Sui Yi said nonchalantly.

"We can do it, we can do it..." The women all promised they could do it, and only then did Sui Yi turn around and look at her disheveled self in the mirror. It had been so long since she'd looked this pathetic. Touching her swollen cheeks, Sui Yi really wanted to turn around and beat those women up. But then she thought about it again, and realized she was probably the one who had caused this, so she gave up the idea.

She splashed water on her face, opened the bathroom door, and turned to leave. After only a few steps, she turned back to the people struggling to get up from the floor and said, "Uh, right, about what happened today, you know what to say, right? Do I need to repeat myself?"

"No need, no need. We won't tell anyone." The men were so terrified of being beaten that they had no other thoughts.

"Yes, I like smart people!" he said, then turned and left.

Sui Yi found a relatively quiet spot, intending to first absorb the original owner's memories. She lay down on the grass, closed her eyes, and began to absorb the memories. In the distance, a male figure appeared, staring intently at her. Sui Yi was completely unaware of this.

According to her memories, she had transmigrated into the first campus novel she wrote, titled "The School Heartthrob's Commoner Girlfriend." It was about a girl from a poor family who was strong, brave, and hardworking. She achieved excellent grades and was admitted to the city's top high school, placed in Class A, the same class as the male lead. Ultimately, they worked together and got into their ideal universities. The original owner of this body was cannon fodder, named Liu Xingge, a complete academic failure in Class F. Because she fell for a popular upperclassman among the school's delinquent girls, she was cornered in the restroom. And the original owner died in that beating.

"Master, since the original owner was a complete academic failure, the mission to turn things around is to make Liu Xingge a genius." The system said with a hint of schadenfreude.

Sui Yi felt like a herd of alpacas was stampeding past her. This mission was just too bizarre. A complete academic failure trying to become a genius? Wasn't that just making things difficult for him? Sui Yi was certain she hadn't written Liu Xingge with this wish when she wrote the novel. This guy's father was a real pain. Sui Yi was practically in awe!
