Chapter Ninety-Eight: The Case-Solving Diary of a Cannon Fodder Prisoner (13)

"Alright, we've found quite a bit of evidence this time. Let's question the neighbors carefully. Li Hao and Jiang Ling, go to the company. Zi Xi and Chen Chen, go to the school to ask about Zheng Wen's social connections. Xiao Bai and I will ask the neighbors here. We'll meet at the police station then."

“Okay!” The group agreed, and Sui Yi and Leng Tianyi began to inquire about the residents.

"I haven't spent much time with this family, so I don't know them very well."

"Their family has a good relationship and they rarely argue. It's just that their youngest son is a bit abnormal and often has seizures."

"Yes, yes, I suspect it might have been done after the child fell ill."

"Auntie, have you seen Zheng Hao when he has an attack?"

The woman was quite disgusted and reluctant to talk about it, saying, "No, but I often hear screams like pigs being slaughtered, it's terrifying. Many residents around here have moved away because of this family."

company

"Our chairman is a good person. With such fierce competition these days, it's impossible to build such a large company without any rivals or enemies. But it's certainly impossible when it involves the whole family. Don't laugh, but people who have reached this level with money and power are most afraid of death."

The school said, "Zheng Wen? She's arrogant because her family is rich. We're not on the same wavelength."

"I don't like her. She always looks down on people."

"Her boyfriend should know her best; you should ask him."

Zixi and Chenchen exchanged a glance, thanked the girls, and returned to the police station.

"Everyone's here. Did you get any useful information?"

Everyone looked at each other and shook their heads, indicating that no.

"The chief gave us three days to solve the case, but a day has passed and we still haven't found any clues."

"We've walked into a dead end."

Sui Yi: "I'll go out for a walk; maybe I'll find some inspiration."

After saying that, Suiyi picked up her bag and suddenly said to Jiangling, "Give me that bottle of tranquilizer. I want to go to the mental hospital and check on the cases there. I feel like there's something off about those two cases."

"It's too late now, it's not suitable to go there. You can go to Team B and look at their information."

"Let Chenchen go look at the information! I won't go to see other people's boyfriends tonight!" Suiyi thought for a moment, then sat back down, leaning back in her chair, lost in thought.

As I pondered, perhaps because of the tranquility, I became drowsy. But as soon as I closed my eyes, the image of the family's deaths would appear in my mind, along with the sounds of their screams.

Endless darkness, a road that seemed to stretch on forever. She passed house after house, all pitch black. A chill ran down her spine. She stopped at a doorway; a dark shadow was reflected in the window. The gleam of a blade stung her eyes. Sui Yi unconsciously groaned, jolting awake.

Feeling sweaty but with a chill in her bones, Suiyi stood up, closed her eyes, and recalled the dream she had just had.

Leng Tianyi's gaze was drawn to her movements. Seeing her strange behavior, he stood up and walked to her side, swaying her back.

"Wake up, wake up. Bai Youyou!" Unable to wake up, Li Hao, who was lying on the table, heard the voice, raised his head, and was so frightened by what he saw that his heart was pounding.

"Boss, what's going on?"

"Xiaobai seems to be possessed! I'll carry her to the rest room to rest. You guys take a break while you can, you'll have to use your brains intensely again tomorrow." After saying that, he picked up Suiyi and carried her to the soft couch in the rest room.

Seeing her face covered in sweat, Leng Tianyi took out a tissue to wipe it away for her. Looking at her quiet little face, his heart softened, and the fatigue of the day disappeared, leaving only the person he had been longing for.

At 28, Leng Tianyi was no longer a naive young man fresh out of school. He knew what was on his mind, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. He could only offer silent care and concern.

While taking care of her, she got so sleepy that she fell asleep, leaning against the edge of the bed.

The next morning, a knock on the door startled Leng Tianyi awake. He looked up, rubbed his temples, and felt a bit dizzy.

"Boss, breakfast is ready!" It was Li Hao who came.

"Oh! Looking up at Li Hao, recalling last night, I glanced at the soft couch and saw Suiyi sleeping soundly with steady breathing." I couldn't help but frown, and reached out to touch her forehead, but her body temperature was normal.

"Boss, is Xiaobai still not awake?"

"Hmm! It looks like she's been working too hard lately and has fallen asleep from exhaustion! Let's go out and let her get some rest."

After saying that, he closed the door, but Suiyi inside the room opened her eyes.

"Tong'er, you're awake?"

"Hmm! But my abilities haven't been updated yet, so I can't help Sui Sui."

"fine."

"By the way, Master, I sense that there is some black energy swirling around your soul."

"It's probably the resentment of the dead, the so-called yin energy. It's probably because of the problems in the world I created that it's reflecting back on me. No wonder I've felt unwell ever since the incident."

The system suddenly asked nervously, "Is Sui Sui alright?"

Sui Yi smiled and said, "It's okay. You forgot that I'm not an ordinary person. These things can't hurt me. But right now, we need to resolve this issue before we can get rid of this trouble."

The system was relieved, as long as it wouldn't endanger its master. "Sui Sui, my energy is unstable and needs to be stabilized. I won't be coming out for a while. Be careful."

"Okay! I'm fine here." After saying that, Suiyi found a pen and started drawing the scene from her dream. It took her two hours to finish, and she only stopped when Chenchen came to open the door.

"Huh? Xiaobai, you're awake?" Chenchen opened the door and saw Suiyi sitting at the table, her face full of surprise.

"Hmm! Is there anything to eat? I feel hungry!" Suiyi felt that her body needed to replenish some energy.

"Yes, there's porridge and steamed buns," Chenchen replied.

"Here, take this to the team members and see if they can find some inspiration in it." Suiyi handed the sketchbook on the table to Chenchen and listlessly went to find something to eat.

Chenchen was completely baffled. She shrugged and turned to go to her office.

"Boss, Xiaobai asked me to bring this over." Chenchen handed the things in her hand to Leng Tianyi and sat back down in her seat.

Leng Tianyi opened the book and saw that it contained some sketches, each depicting a scene related to the current case.

The first picture shows a figure standing under a tree at night, holding a blood-stained knife and looking at a house.

The second picture shows the family's living conditions.

The third, fourth, fifth, and sixth images are profiles of the murderer during the killing.

The last picture shows the scene. It also marks the possible routes the killer might have taken.

Looking at these pictures, Leng Tianyi's eyes were filled with fascination and amazement. "Come and look at these pictures," he said to the group, his gaze fixed on the album.

The group exchanged glances, walked over, and saw that the scene in the picture really looked like something they had personally experienced.
