Chapter Sixty-Three: The Cannon Fodder Female Thief's Comeback Story 16

Watching the group flee like the wind, Sui Yi couldn't help but feel a little ashamed. Damn, they acted like they were being chased by ghosts, so pathetic. If the others could hear Sui Yi's thoughts, they'd probably retort, "Damn it, easy for you to talk! That guy's already out of the ghost business; he's practically the King of Hell himself. You try it yourself!" But she'd probably have to say that quietly.

"Have you had enough fun?" Lin Xiao thought to himself with a hint of helplessness.

"Huh?" Sui Yi looked puzzled, but in her heart she was shouting, "Damn, does this man have eyes of fire? How can he be so accurate?"

"Alright, come with me." Knowing what Sui Yi was thinking, the man didn't expose her, but instead led her to a group of middle-aged men. Sui Yi followed him there.

"These are my business partners, you can just call them uncles," Lin Xiao said, pointing to a few people without going into more detail.

"Hello, uncles, my name is Tao Tao." Sui Yi did not reveal her identity, but simply gave a greeting.

"Haha, good, good, good. I've been wondering what kind of girl could be worthy of my nephew Lin. Turns out, she's such a wonderful person. Lin Xiao, your grandfather is happy now." One of them said, his eyes gleaming.

"He really is a cunning old fox. He tries to curry favor with everyone he meets for fame and fortune." Sui Yi disliked this calculating look in his eyes and immediately lost all interest in talking. Sui Yi quietly reached out and tugged at Lin Xiao's sleeve.

Lin Xiao turned to look at Sui Yi, as if to ask, "What's wrong?"

Sui Yi's message to him was: "I want to leave. Have you finished talking about your business?"

“Okay, let’s leave.” The signal between the two was good, and Lin Xiao easily read the message that Sui Yi was trying to convey. He turned to the others and said, “I have things to do, so I’ll be leaving now.”

After saying that, Lin Xiao led Sui Yi to greet the host and then turned and left.

On the car,

"What's wrong? Don't you like this kind of banquet?" Lin Xiao asked, looking at Sui Yi.

"Hmm, I don't like these kinds of social events. They're so boring. Can I stop coming in the future?" Sui Yi couldn't help it. Her family was a harmonious, warm, united, and simple environment. Whenever there were social events at home, it was always her parents and brothers who went. Sui Yi never had a chance to attend, so she didn't really like the atmosphere.

"Okay, I won't bring you anymore."

"I noticed you haven't eaten much, so I'll treat you."

"Really? I want to have a big meal." For some reason, Suiyi easily let her guard down and set boundaries in front of Lin Xiao.

"Oh my, Boss Lin is finally being considerate of his subordinates this time, it's rare!" Ah Xuan exclaimed.

"Why?" Suiyi asked curiously.

"You don't know, our boss Lin is a bit stingy. He has never taken us out to eat."

"Uh, really?" Sui Yi looked at Lin Xiao, somewhat finding it hard to believe.

“You can’t be compared to them,” Lin Xiao said, softening his gaze as he looked at Sui Yi.

"Ouch, that hurts, boss, I want to quit!" Ah Xuan wailed.

"Okay, I'll approve it for you right now, how about that?"

"Uh, boss, please have mercy, I was just joking, just joking." What would happen if I quit?

"What do you want to eat?" Lin Xiao ignored Ah Xuan's antics and looked at Sui Yi.

"Hairy crabs and crayfish." Just thinking about spicy food made Sui Yi's mouth water reflexively.

"Alright, let's go. Boss, can we order more?" Ah Xuan looked at Lin Xiao expectantly.

"Why did you order so much?" Suiyi asked Axuan.

"We can't finish it all, so we'll pack it up and take it home to share with everyone. It's rare for the boss to treat us."

"Are you just going to show off? Aren't you afraid of getting ganged up on?"

"Never bow to evil forces, and resolutely show off."

"..." Sui Yi and Lin Xiao were speechless, looking at Ah Xuan as if he were an idiot.

"Drive carefully, or you can get out," Lin Xiao said to Ah Xuan.

"Yes, sir." He then glanced around to see which seafood restaurant nearby was doing well; it must be delicious.
