Chapter 180 The Chaff Wife 7

Long Yuan waited on the rooftop for three days.

He actually wanted to leave.

But for some reason, I just can't move my legs.

Perhaps it's because the food at their house is just too good.

The aroma was so enticing that it whetted his appetite.

Perhaps he should poach one of the cooks from this household.

Otherwise, food will probably lose its flavor in the future.

Long Yuan sat on the rooftop with two meat buns in his pocket, watching Ning Qiao'er huff and puff as she ran.

Her fair face flushed red, and her forehead was covered in sweat. She looked incredibly hardworking; it was unexpected that this girl was so serious about losing weight.

Long Yuan was admiring Ning Qiao'er's earnestness.

Suddenly, Ning Qiao'er lay down on the floor and refused to move.

Long Yuan: "—" That was a slap in the face too fast.

"Brother, I'm tired." His heavy body lay there like a small mountain.

"Get up and keep moving. It hasn't been an incense stick's time yet. Once you've run for an incense stick's time, you can rest."

"But I'm just too tired."

Are you getting up or not?

"Don't get up?"

"I'll ask you one more time, are you getting up or not?"

"Brother, let me rest for a while, just a short rest will do."

Seeing that Ning Qiao'er was still unwilling to get up, Ning Hong narrowed her eyes.

His younger sister is incredibly lazy; she only runs for a short while before complaining that she's tired. This happens almost every other day.

Fortunately, he had already come up with another solution.

"Awen," Ning Hong suddenly called out into the room.

Before the words had even finished, Ning Qiao'er was still wondering what was going on when she saw a black dog rushing towards her.

"Oh dear, my goodness."

Ning Qiao'er was always afraid of dogs, so she immediately took off running.

One person was running ahead, and a dog was chasing behind.

Ning Qiao'er dared not relax at all; she would tremble with fear at the mere sound of a dog barking.

"Brother, you're too cruel."

Ning Qiao'er shouted as she ran.

"Sigh, there's nothing I can do. I've gone to great lengths to help you lose weight." Ning Hong then pulled out a book, leaned back in her chair, and started reading.

“It’s hard for your brother to do this to you, but for your own good, you have to persevere.”

"Brother...I hate you..."

Longyuan on the rooftop stared in disbelief.

Is this even possible?

When her sister refused to move, they actually unleashed the dog to chase her.

Is this younger sister adopted? If she were a biological sister, how could anyone bear to treat her like this?

Seeing Ning Qiao'er running out of breath, Long Yuan felt a pang of heartache. He wanted to deal with the black dog, but he was afraid of being discovered and then getting entangled with them.

About an incense stick later, the man named Awen suddenly reappeared and took the dog back.

Seeing that the black dog was gone, Ning Qiao'er felt her legs go weak and she collapsed to the ground.

"Oh no, I can't take it anymore, my brother murdered me with a dog."

"Stop fooling around. You just finished running. Let the maid give you a massage. Do some stretching exercises. I'm going out for a bit. When I come back, I'll bring you some good food."

"become."

Ning Qiao'er replied weakly.

Just as she was about to call the maid over to help her stretch, she saw Long Yuan jump down from the roof.

Startled, she immediately lowered the skirt she had just lifted.

"Why are you here again?"

What's with that dismissive tone?

Long Yuan felt somewhat depressed.

"I came down to check on you because I saw that you looked very tired."

"I'm fine. My brother won't really let me get too tired." Her brother is always sensible and always knows when to stop her from reaching her limit.

"Then I was just meddling," Long Yuan said, feeling rather uncomfortable.

"I can't say that, I still want to thank you for your concern." Ning Qiao'er grinned, her smile was bright and beautiful.

Long Yuan's heart skipped a beat.

His face looked like he'd seen a ghost. He turned and ran, disappearing in a flash.

"Is this guy out of his mind? Otherwise, why would he come out and run away for no reason?"

Ning Qiao'er touched her face. Surely she couldn't be that ugly? No, no, her brother said she needed to be confident—

Long Yuan touched his chest in disbelief. What happened?

Why does he feel this sensation in his chest? Is it just his imagination, or is he sick?

However, still harboring resentment, Long Yuan left the Ning family that very night.

Ning Hong was unaware of this matter, and Ning Qiao'er hadn't taken it to heart at all. Her greatest strength was her tact; if someone didn't like her, what could she do even if she lost her appetite for them?

You'd be better off eating two more bowls of rice instead of wasting this time.

"Ning Qiao'er, you've been stealing food again."

"No, brother, I was just passing by, really just passing by the kitchen."

"No food allowed tomorrow."

"Brother! If you can't eat rice, can you have fried noodles?"

"..."

The Ning family's days passed amidst constant bickering and noise.

Long Yuan felt particularly uneasy after leaving.

Now that he's gone, will she miss him?

Her smile kept replaying in his mind, his emotions churning. But he figured she probably wouldn't have any other thoughts about his departure.

That woman was like an ostrich, oblivious to everything.

And then there was the Ning family's food. Thinking of this, Long Yuan couldn't help but feel a little regretful.

Oh dear, what a pity, what a pity.
