Chapter 2 The Abandoned Female Cannon Fodder

"Grandma, please eat more." Watching Grandma Ning place the big chicken leg in her bowl, Ning Hong blinked, trying to hide the stinging in her eyes.

He knew from a young age that he was not the biological child of this family.

Ning Hongze's mother is Ning Anping's cousin, Ning Anli.

Years ago, Ning Anli rescued this man by a small ditch outside the village.

This man was handsome and refined, completely different from the men in the village. That's how Ning Anli fell in love and gave herself to him.

The man lived in the village for eight years, and Ning Anli gave birth to Ning Hongze. The family of three lived happily together.

But later, the man seemed to regain his memory and suddenly disappeared from the village. Ning Anli searched for him everywhere, which caused her to miscarry her second child.

Betrayed by her husband and family, coupled with a miscarriage, Ning Anli could not bear the blow and fell ill and never recovered.

When she was seriously ill, only Ning Anping came to visit her.

On her deathbed, she entrusted her seven-year-old son to Ning Anping.

Looking at her, Ning Anping thought of himself, feeling a sense of shared suffering. Therefore, he agreed to change Ning Anli's son's name to Ning Hongze and register him on his own household registration.

From then on, Ning Hongzao gained an older brother, and Ning Anping gained a son.

When Ning Hongze moved into the family, he was already old enough to understand things. At first, he was still very nervous. It was Ning Anping who held him and told him again and again that he would be Ning Anping's son and Hongzao's brother.

Even Grandma Ning took care of me in the same way.

Meeting such a family made Ning Hong feel that his life had been worthwhile. He subconsciously touched his ear, trying to hide the sudden feeling of guilt that welled up inside him.
