"This is completely unexpected. I never imagined they wouldn't move."
Ling Zhi muttered to himself, feeling as if he had been looked down upon; these people didn't take him seriously at all.
"It's normal to underestimate you. If it weren't for me, you would have died in prison long ago." Ning Hong wasn't surprised at all by this outcome. In the original storyline, without his protection, Ling Zhi would have died in prison very quickly.
There is absolutely no threat whatsoever.
"That's true."
Lexus is quite honest.
The group carefully made their way down.
We had only gone halfway when we saw two people talking and taking notes at the same time.
"How's number six doing?"
"Number Six is alright, it has begun to gradually mutate, but Number Four seems to have not changed at all."
"Number one has already been dealt with, and number two is scheduled to be dealt with today."
"What about numbers three and five?"
"It has completely mutated, but it is out of control."
"What do you think the boss is trying to achieve by conducting this kind of experiment? This thing is disgusting and terrifying."
"Why do you care so much? He pays us, we're just doing our job."
"But--"
If this virus gets out of control, then a real biohazard crisis will occur.
They are all ordinary people, and if something happens, they are the ones who will be the first to suffer.
They are impossible to guard against.
The man hesitated, as if he wanted to say something, but then he caught a glimpse of figures moving around out of the corner of his eye. "Who are you—"
Before he could finish speaking, he was knocked unconscious.
Another person spotted them and was about to reach the corner of the wall to press the alarm when he felt a sharp pain in his neck and fainted.
"Acha, we really have a great understanding."
Ning Hong said with a grin.
The two of them, one on each side, swiftly and decisively knocked them unconscious.
He casually grabbed a rope from the side, tied the two men up, and then gagged them.
Jiang Min stood aside watching Ning Hongze's actions; his method of tying people up was quite professional.
Ling Zhi crouched down and picked up the reports they had dropped on the ground.
After watching for a while, his expression completely changed. "This bunch of lunatics."
"We cannot allow this laboratory to continue developing, otherwise, a biological crisis will really break out."
Ling Zhi handed the European report to Jiang Min.
Jiang Min flipped through a few pages, her face darkening. "I can't understand it at all."
He's just a prison guard team leader; how could he possibly understand something this advanced?
"This lab is researching biological viruses in order to cultivate zombies that can be controlled."
As for who is responsible for training these zombies?
What is the purpose?
It wasn't mentioned in the report.
However, it is clear that this is a conspiracy, a conspiracy against the Tang Dynasty.
"Their main test subjects are homeless people on the street. There are men and women. It doesn't matter if they are mentally unstable. Zombies don't need brains anyway."
"They now have six test subjects, and they've captured two more. The experiment will begin tomorrow. However, they've already thrown the two homeless people they just captured into the room where test subject number six is being held."
Number Six has already begun to mutate; perhaps it's already too late.
Another scream rang out.
The four people's expressions changed, and they quickly ran towards the source of the sound.
All the test subjects were kept like wild animals in a zoo in a room made of bulletproof glass.
There is a small door.
Staff can come and go.
However, it is clear that the device inside the glass room needs to be activated before staff can enter.
To avoid staff members being accidentally injured.
These are zombies. If they are accidentally injured, the staff member will only become a test subject.
"Aaaaaahh ...
The homeless man was screaming wildly.
He frantically pounded on the glass, trying to get out.
But this is top-grade bulletproof glass; it's not something that can be easily shattered.
How could there be such a terrifying thing in this world?
The homeless man was filled with regret.
Those people told him that if he followed them and worked for them, he would have food to eat and they would pay him a salary.
He'd been a homeless person for so many years, he was tired of it.
But he can't endure hardship and has no skills or education, so what can he do?
Most importantly, she's ugly.
Those people told him that the job was not hard at all, that he ate well, lived well, and that it would take a lot of time.
He was immediately smitten.
He had come with them, but he never expected to end up like this. He had just watched as another homeless man was bitten to death by this man.
Everything was fine before, and I even had a decent meal. I never imagined it would be my last meal before I was executed.
"Help! Help!"
The man lunged at him.
The homeless man felt a sharp pain in his neck as the crazed Subject Six had already bitten it.
"Help!"
He trembled all over in pain, trying hard to shake the person off, but his movements became weaker and weaker.
"Hurry and save them!"
Seeing this, Jiang Min quickly pulled out the gun, trying to find a device to lock up the zombie and also get the homeless man out.
"It's no use."
Ning Hong stopped him.
“He’s already been bitten. Even if we rescue him, it will only increase our danger.”
People bitten by zombies will turn into zombies themselves.
