"Tch." Ning Qingfeng scoffed. "I've seen plenty of shameless people, but I've never seen anyone as shameless as you."
He always knew that the people in this village were not good people, but he didn't know that when these people got shameless, they were truly invincible.
"If you want the bear meat my brother hunted, it's simple. Just say a few nice things, and my brother might share some with you. Why go through all this trouble? Brother, put me down."
Ning Qingfeng was furious. His older brother, who was so capable in front of him, suddenly became completely dumbfounded as soon as they returned to the village.
"Ning Qingfeng, you're here too?"
They only dared to say that because they saw Ning Hongze as honest and simple; little did they know that Ning Qingfeng, this reckless fellow, was also there.
Oh dear, he was even tied to a bear.
Ning Hong obediently put Ning Qingfeng down.
Ning Qingfeng twisted his ankle and couldn't stand steadily, so he sat down directly on the ground.
"This isn't a case of 'seeing is believing.' Just because you say your brother hit him doesn't mean he did it. He might have stolen it."
Ning Hong coldly stared at the person who had spoken. That person was Wei Ergouzi.
The man who had encouraged Ning Qingfeng to gamble. Seeing the bloodied rabbit still clutched in Ning Qingfeng's hand, his eyes lit up.
"Oh my, this rabbit is really fat. Brother Qingfeng, you still owe me ten coins, remember? Give me this rabbit, and I'll deduct two coins from your account."
Two coins for a rabbit, that's a reasonable price. The problem is, "When did I owe you money? Don't talk nonsense."
"Oh dear, I know you don't want to bring this up in front of your brother, but debts always have to be repaid. If you don't pay them back, don't ask me for money next time we go to the gambling den."
Ning Hong silently looked at Ning Qingfeng, whose whole body ached from her gaze.
He shuddered inexplicably when he thought of his brother beating the bear.
"No, brother, believe me, I didn't do such a thing."
Wei Ergouzi wouldn't lend him that much money; that's all nonsense.
It's probably because his brother is so concerned about saving face that he's trying to fool him.
Ning Hong glared at Ning Qingfeng, and Ning Qingfeng felt a chill in his heart.
His brother didn't believe Wei Ergouzi would lend him money, but his brother seemed angry.
"You're saying I stole this bear?" Ning Hong sneered. She scooped up the mountain-like bear with one hand. "You say finder keepser?"
Ning Hong then looked at the person who had spoken, "I'd like to give you the bear, do you dare to take it?"
"Why wouldn't I dare? If you dare to give it to me, I dare to take it!" the man said defiantly.
"Alright, if you can handle it, I'll share some with you."
Ning Hong then grabbed the bear and lifted it into the air.
"Young man from the Ning family, what do you want to do?" Seeing the bear, as big as a small mountain, on their heads, everyone was shocked and felt a sense of fear.
"Of course, you'll be the ones to take care of this bear. As long as you stay here, you can have a share. I keep my word."
"How can we possibly catch such a huge bear?"
Ning Hong sneered. What did it matter to him if he couldn't catch it?
"What we mean is that we hope you can cut the bear into pieces and give them to us," instead of making them catch such a huge bear with their bare hands.
The village chief's legs trembled, and even Wei Ergouzi was trembling with fear.
"Don't do anything reckless."
"You're dreaming. If you can't even catch a bear, why should I share it with you? Alright, enough talk, here it comes." Ning Hong then threw the bear out, which crashed down on the group like a small mountain.
The villagers were terrified, their faces turning ashen, and they were at a loss for what to do.
"Ah, they're here!" a villager suddenly shouted, quickly covering his head and squatting down.
If such a large bear were to hit them, they would definitely be injured. Even if they didn't die, they would probably lose an arm or a leg.
The bear crashed down beside them.
It kicked up a cloud of dust, spraying them from head to toe.
"See? None of you can catch this bear." Ning Hong stepped forward, picked up Ning Qingfeng with one hand, and with the other hand, grabbed the bear's leg and dragged it home.
"This Ning family brat is really going too far!" The man who had fallen to the ground in fright from the bear patted the dirt off his body and said with a face full of resentment.
“Exactly, how could he scare people like that?” another person chimed in. He had almost peed his pants from fright.
Luckily I held it in, otherwise I would have lost a lot of face.
"Such a big bear, and not only do you not share it with us, you're even trying to scare us?"
"We should go to his house and make a scene."
"Yes, let's go find them and demand an explanation."
One person made this remark, and the others joined in.
Anyway, the law does not punish the masses.
"No, I mean, didn't you guys notice that Ning Hongze was able to grab this bear with one hand? How strong is that?"
"Yes, and at the very beginning, Ning Qingfeng was tied to the bear."
"So, can we beat him?"
"They probably can't beat them, right?"
The group exchanged glances, suddenly feeling a little uneasy.
Even the village chief was somewhat surprised.
He had always thought that it was a good thing that his brother's daughter, Wei Qing, and Ning Qingfeng broke off their engagement, but now, thinking about it, he felt a little uneasy.
If he had known Ning Hongze was so strong, he would definitely have tried to build a better relationship with them. Even if they wanted to break off the engagement, they could have chosen a more amicable approach; after all, they might need his strength someday.
Unfortunately, it's too late to think about all this now. Er Gouzi has completely offended everyone.
"Brother, you're amazing! Look how scared they are! They deserve it." Although his posture wasn't pretty, it couldn't hide his joy. Ning Qingfeng's face was full of smiles.
He had long disliked these heartless villagers.
"If you don't like them, why do you gamble with them?"
"The first time, I was lured in. I used ten coins and won two taels of silver. I was so excited at the time, thinking that I could get rich by gambling. Who knew that all of this would just be a passing cloud. After that, I started to lose. The more I lost, the more unwilling I was to accept it, and that's how I lost more and more."
"Useless." Ning Hong slapped his head again, making Ning Qingfeng feel dizzy.
"Brother, if you knock me out of my mind, I'll be in your shoes and need your support from now on."
"What's the point of raising you? You're as stupid as a pig; you don't even realize you've been set up."
