Julia's jump exposed a number of problems.
First, Julia's abilities are not high; she might not even qualify as a vampire. The fact that she was injured simply from jumping from the attic is clearly inconsistent with the vampire trait.
Secondly, there were still quite a few residents in the town, and Julia's commotion attracted a large crowd. Clearly, Julia's speculation was unfounded, meaning the cursed red jewel wasn't as powerful as imagined.
Third, Julia is not afraid of the sun. Julia had been deliberately avoiding the sun before, but now that she is actually exposed to the sun, everyone has found that she is fine.
"You're completely alright?" Sam was incredibly excited.
"That's not it! My hands and feet are ice cold, I want to drink blood, and I don't have any tears." Julia was completely bewildered. Back at the hotel, she tried her best to explain to everyone, "No, I really have mutated!"
"But you're not afraid of the sun!" Sam was happier than anyone else. "Julia, I'm so glad you're okay, you're okay!"
“How could that be? No, that’s not how it works…” Julia stared blankly at her bleeding hand. “Then why did I lock Mabel up? It made no sense, right?”
"Have you touched that bead?" Leng Yue also found it strange, as Julia seemed to be in much better condition than before.
“I just held it in my hand and looked at it for a moment, then put it back because I felt uncomfortable,” Julia recalled. “I always thought that as long as I touched that jewel, it would mutate.”
"Has Mei Bao ever touched it?" Leng Yue felt that Julia and the Charlie brothers' memories might be inaccurate. Perhaps the bead was never lost at all, but was simply taken by Mei Bao.
“Maibao? No way,” Julia shook her head. “When I met the Charlie brothers, there was no one else around. Then, the Charlie brothers mutated first, and then the red jewel fell to the ground. In the chaos, we couldn’t find it, but it couldn’t be Maibao’s.”
"What if Mei Bao picked it up?" Leng Yue looked at Julia. "You know, children are always interested in small things on the ground."
Children are small in stature and have good eyesight. They might just glance down and see something while wandering around, then pick it up and play with it.
Leng Yue's words made Julia fall into deep thought. Mei Bao had just turned ten; she was still a child. Plus, she was recently losing her baby teeth and didn't like going out to play with other friends. Most of the time, Mei Bao would daydream or play with small toys by herself. So, did Mei Bao really pick up that jewel?
Julia's face turned ashen. "What do we do? Could Mabel have really mutated?"
The Charlie brothers only had contact with the jewel for a few days. If Mei Bao really picked it up, then she's been in contact with it for over ten days. The Charlie brothers mutated even though their contact with the jewel was so much shorter than Mei Bao's. So what about Mei Bao?
"No, no, I have to go find her!" Julia's legs went weak at the thought, and despite her injuries, she was about to go out to find Mei Bao.
“You’re not safe yourself,” Leng Yue told them what the Charlie brothers had said about the vampires and blood hunters visiting the town.
"So, they're probably also looking for that red jewel. Even if you find Mei Bao this way, you probably won't be able to bring her back. Besides, before Mei Bao disappeared, we also sensed a fluctuation of power; the other party is very strong!"
Leng Yue and Qian Chen were experiencing Western superpowers for the first time and were not very clear about the principles behind them. That's why they didn't discover Mei Bao; although they could detect a trace of her aura, they couldn't make her show herself.

Leng Yue and Qian Chen exchanged a glance, took a deep breath, and said, "Let us, as husband and wife, investigate this matter. We will notify you immediately if we have any news about Mei Bao."
“But…” Julia was clearly unwilling, but Leng Yue did not give her a chance to refuse.
“Julia, you stay here at the hotel. If Mei Bao comes back, you'll know immediately.” Leng Yue said, then looked at Sam and Andrew.
“Uncle Sam, you can go back first. Anyway, you’ve found quite a few clues, so you won’t be without anything to report. If everyone has no objections, we can go our separate ways,” Leng Yue said, waiting for Sam and the others’ reply.
"Are you really capable? A vampire that we can barely detect is definitely not an ordinary vampire." Sam was very serious. Since they became vampire hunters, they had never encountered a vampire who could steal people away right under their noses without them noticing.
Leng Yue nodded. "At least my husband and I can protect ourselves. You can also go back and explain the situation to headquarters. Maybe we can get reinforcements."
Although Leng Yue spoke casually, she knew in truth that this matter was far more complicated than they imagined. A single bead could attract both high-level vampires and blood hunters; the stakes involved were unimaginable.
Leng Yue said this only to reassure them. After all, a battle of this level was practically a clash of gods to them. If they got involved, they would only be cannon fodder.
Sure enough, after Leng Yue said that, Sam stopped trying to stop them. "Take care, we'll go back as soon as possible and request support from headquarters. Now that we've made up our minds, let's head back quickly. Be careful."
Seeing that everything was settled, Sam didn't dwell on it and prepared to leave with Andrew and Lily. They needed to get back to the club as soon as possible to report the situation to their superiors. Only when headquarters sent someone would they have truly helped Qianchen and Lengyue.
Leng Yue and Qian Chen didn't linger either; they left as well. Although they couldn't sense the bead's aura, they still had the Anywhere Door. So, they decided to give it a try.
"Uncle Sam, are we really going back like this?" Lily looked at Sam with difficulty. "What about Leng and the others? Can they really handle them?"
"We wouldn't be of any help if we stayed here, would we?" Sam looked at Lily. "I know you like the cold and worry about them. But Lily, the three of us combined aren't as good as just one of them. Do you think we'd be of any use staying here?"
Lily eventually stopped talking and left the hotel with Sam and Andrew.
As Sam left, he waved to Julia and whispered, "Julia, I'll be back."
Julia waved back, noticing Sam's lips move but she couldn't understand what he said. She wanted to ask him what he said, but a gust of wind blew her hair into disarray, so she could only reach up to comb it. When she looked at Sam again, the three of them were already quite a distance away.
Julia sighed and turned back to the hotel.
