Chapter 263 Blood Hunters and Vampires (11)

Since the Anywhere Door was unusable, Leng Yue and Qian Chen flew on their swords. More accurately, they flew on their daggers, as her dagger could change size, making it very convenient to use.

The distance from the Rhine to Bran Castle wasn't far, but it wasn't short either. Fortunately, their sword-flying was quite fast, so they quickly arrived above the castle.

Flying on a sword has another advantage: it allows them to soar through the air without being disturbed by others. Therefore, it's ideal for them to remain hidden.

"Should we go straight in?" Leng Yue and Qian Chen were standing on their swords, hovering directly above Brown Castle.

“Look down there, lots of vampires, it’s quite a scene,” Qianchen said, handing the binoculars to Lengyue. “We need to think of a way.”

Leng Yue took it, looked at it, and nodded. "It seems these vampire forces are quite powerful. Can we disguise ourselves?"

"Disguise? I think that should be a good idea." Qianchen nodded. "We can give it a try."

So, like the vampires, they found long black cloaks to wear, and when they saw a large group of vampires about to enter the castle, they followed them in.

The castle was large and different from what I had imagined.

Leng Yue assumed that since the castle was inhabited by vampires, it must be eerie and gloomy. However, upon entering, they discovered that the main hall was actually quite luxurious, not eerie at all, and rather grand.

Everyone says that vampires are the richest, and now it seems that's true. The castle is enormous, and everything is decorated in a very luxurious style; someone who didn't know better would definitely mistake it for a royal palace.

The murals on the walls depict the stories of generations of people in this castle, the crystal chandeliers on both sides reflect dazzling light, and the hall is filled with the sounds of people clinking glasses and the red wine in the glasses exudes an enticing aroma.

Leng Yue and Qian Chen, like two fish, swiftly and discreetly weaved through the crowd, quickly heading into the castle. They were going to find Mei Bao; only by finding Mei Bao could they find the red bead.

They moved very carefully, but precisely because they were too careful, they couldn't find things smoothly.

The castle was huge, and there was always people coming and going; there wasn't a single spot that was deserted. Clearly, there were many vampires here today.

They searched three floors and hundreds of rooms, but still couldn't find Mei Bao. Unable to find her, they had no choice but to return to the lobby on the first floor to meet up.

"How did it go?" The appointed time arrived, and Leng Yue and Qian Chen both went downstairs as scheduled. Upon seeing Qian Chen, Leng Yue went up to greet him and asked.

Qian Chen shook his head, "There's nothing here, and none of the servants know anything either."

"You even asked the servants?" Leng Yue asked curiously.

"Well, not all the servants here are vampires; some are low-IQ monsters, so it's easy to find out." Qian Chen had just encountered a monster that looked a lot like a frog. While he was searching, the frog monster saw the coffin lid moving.

The frog monster asked him if he was Prince Invisibleman. Qianchen readily agreed, then said he heard a little girl crying in his room and came to see what was going on. The frog monster said there was no little girl; there had never been a little girl in Brown Castle.

Thus, Qianchen learned that Meibao was not here.

"Could that frog monster you mentioned be lying to us?" Leng Yue was skeptical. "If it wasn't, why would Dracula say that?"

“One of them must be lying,” Qianchen also found it strange. “It’s too much of a coincidence that we ran into Dracula.”

"That frog monster was just as coincidental." Whether it's Dracula or the frog monster, thinking about it now, they both seem strange.

As the two were talking, the previously lively hall suddenly fell silent. The vampires who had been elegantly raising their wine glasses and chatting with people all placed their glasses on the waiter's tray and stared at the stairs.

Seeing this, Leng Yue and Qian Chen dared not make a sound and quietly hid in a corner of the crowd.

Following the vampire's gaze, they saw a beautiful woman descending from above, dressed in a bright red court dress, with long, wavy hair and a tall, slender figure.

The vampire below was surprised to see the woman. "The Countess is here too. How amazing!"

"Welcome to Bran Castle, everyone. Today is a joyous day, as our Dracula family is welcoming a new member. This banquet is to celebrate this new addition, as I'm sure you're all aware of it. Now, let's welcome our protagonist to the stage." The Countess seemed very happy, a smile constantly gracing her exquisite face.

The vampires in the hall all stared silently at the stairs. Even Qian Chen and Leng Yue, who were hiding in the shadows, held their breath and kept staring up.

Sure enough, amidst the expectant gazes of the crowd, a vampire with equally piercing eyes stepped out. This person was very beautiful, had a hot body, and most importantly, they knew this newcomer.

"This is our newest member of the Dracula family, Miss Charlotte." The Countess took Charlotte's hand familiarly, and the two stood together like a mother and daughter.

"Good evening, everyone. I am Dracula Charlotte, and from today onwards, I am a member of the Dracula family." Charlotte had completely changed her usual worldly manner, and now spoke in the tone of a young lady from a wealthy family.

Leng Yue and Qian Chen exchanged a glance, and in their eye contact, they both recognized each other as Charlotte, the girl they knew.

“Charlotte is my daughter with the Earl. We’ve been searching for her for years, and we’ve only just found her. Oh, my dear, I’m so happy.” The Countess said, looking at Charlotte with excitement. “You’ve suffered so much all these years, my darling.”

Leng Yue only saw Charlotte shake her head, but couldn't see her expression. Qian Chen tugged at Leng Yue's hand, and the two quietly left the hall.

The two flew on their swords and returned to the skies above Bran Castle.

“It seems this really isn’t Mei Bao. Where did Mei Bao go?” Qian Chen looked at Leng Yue, who shook her head.

“I don’t know,” Leng Yue said, equally puzzled. “Then why did Dracula say he was a little girl?”

"Are you talking about me?" Dracula appeared behind the two of them without them noticing.

Qianchen's grip on Lengyue's hand stiffened slightly. This was the second time. Were they not vigilant enough?

"You really are elusive and unpredictable?" Qian Chen's face showed no emotion.

"Hehe, it was so boring in the castle, I came out for some fresh air and just happened to see you all." Dracula seemed quite used to it. "What a coincidence!"

Qian Chen gave a forced smile, while Leng Yue glanced at the two of them. "You said Charlotte was a little girl before?"

“I am over seven hundred years old. What else could she be to me but a little girl?” Dracula looked at Leng Yue, not feeling that he had done anything wrong.

“That’s true, but… never mind.” Leng Yue glanced at Qian Chen, but ultimately didn’t continue.

"Would you like me to show you around the castle? Or show you my residence?" Dracula extended the invitation again.

Qianchen and Lengyue exchanged a glance, and this time they did not refuse.
