Chapter 290 Fairy Tale Town (11)

"Are we really not going to help?" Leng Yue looked at Qian Chen, increasingly confused about his intentions.

Qian Chen looked at Leng Yue helplessly, "Yueyue, some things can't be rushed. Can you relax a little?"

“But…but Liu Fang will suffer a loss…” Leng Yue looked at Qian Chen, who had suddenly become serious, and hesitated for a moment.

"Do you know what a pledge of allegiance is?" Qian Chen saw Leng Yue looking down at him silently like a child who had done something wrong. Feeling a little sorry for her, he reached out and pulled her to sit down next to him.

“I know you’re just worried, but there are many things we have to be ruthless about. Otherwise, who knows if we’ll ever be on the same path?” Qianchen looked at Lengyue. “This matter must wait!”

Leng Yue nodded. "I understand."

Leng Yue dared not look at Liu Fang's condition, fearing she would be unable to resist helping if she did. That's how people are; if they don't know someone, they might be able to remain indifferent and uncaring. But once someone is even remotely connected to them, it's incredibly difficult to bear watching them suffer.

However, Leng Yue had to admit that sometimes, to do something, you have to be ruthless. Otherwise, you might end up harming yourself and others.

The noise and cheers outside were deafening. Clearly, Liu Fang had been completely outmatched. Leng Yue clenched her hands tightly, trying not to listen or look.

About half an hour later, the sounds outside suddenly stopped. Leng Yue didn't know if this meant Liu Fang had been arrested. She felt extremely uneasy, wanting to get up and see, yet afraid to do so.

Unexpectedly, Liu Fang came in from outside, and she wasn't as disheveled as I had imagined.

"So you still chose to give in?" Qian Chen put down his teacup as Liu Fang entered, smiling calmly, as if everything was within his expectations.

"You found out again?" Liu Fang smiled bitterly. "As you can see, I'm still that loser. There's nothing I can do; I'm just that afraid of death."

"It's alright, it's only human nature." Qian Chen nodded, then changed the subject, "Do you really think that following them will lead to a better future?"

"I don't know that, but I do know that following you will lead to a quick death." Liu Fang's face was grim. "None of us are a match for them. I advise you to surrender!"

Leng Yue looked left and right, wondering what they were talking about. But seeing the undercurrent between them, she wisely chose to remain silent.

“We understand what Miss Liu Fang means, but it won’t be so easy for you to use us as stepping stones.” After Qian Chen finished speaking, he pulled Leng Yue behind him. “Yueyue, the dagger.”

Leng Yue obediently took out her flying sword, shrunk it, turned it into a dagger, and handed it to Qian Chen, saying, "You can change size at will."

Qianchen took it, turned to look at Lengyue, and whispered, "Yueyue, don't make a move later. Only use your last trump card when things go wrong."

Leng Yue glanced at Qian Chen and nodded, "Okay, don't worry, we'll be fine."

Qianchen nodded, looked at Liufang, and said with some disdain, "How many of you have come? Come at me all at once."

"You've got quite the nerve. Fine, let's finish this quickly." Liu Fang didn't mince words and called out his other companions.

Unlike last time, this time all the warriors were in white robes, each wielding lasers and electromagnetic weapons, while they only had an ancient dagger. Although this dagger could change size, it still looked rather shabby.

Leng Yue remained silent, clasping her hands together to create a protective barrier. Qian Chen glanced at them; the other side, including Liu Fang, numbered ten. They, on the other hand, only had two people.

"You can't escape. Even someone as powerful as Yin Cang couldn't escape, let alone you?" Liu Fang changed from her previous aloofness to a typical villain's face, leaving Leng Yue speechless.

"Liu Fang, I never expected you to be this kind of person!" Leng Yue didn't know how a person could change so quickly.

"What do you know? You're protected and don't know the hardships of life, but what about me?" Liu Fang looked at Leng Yue, her jealousy and resentment almost solidifying in her eyes.

"So you never intended to help us from the beginning?" Leng Yue suddenly recalled the scene when she met Liu Fang just after leaving the forest. "You weren't pretending at all; you just had a problem with me."

"Now you realize that I told you long ago, without the man by your side, you wouldn't survive ten episodes in a TV drama." Liu Fang no longer hid her serious disdain. "You're stupid, you've always been stupid."

“You…I…” Leng Yue looked at the unfamiliar Liu Fang, “I know, you are no longer Qing Luan, I was just deluding myself…”

"Why? Someone like you can find someone who truly loves you, so why can't I?" Liu Fang suddenly sounded like a wronged woman. "Why can't he treat me with sincerity? Why did he betray me?"

Leng Yue: What? What are you talking about? Are we still going to fight or not?

“Miss Liu Fang, shouldn’t we go?” A soldier in white carrying an electromagnetic pistol stepped forward. “Look, we’ve been waiting.”

"What's wrong? Can't I even say a few words?" Liu Fang shouted, turning into a shrew again.

Leng Yue: My god, is this person schizophrenic? It feels like they haven't taken their medication.

Leng Yue turned to look at Qian Chen, only to see him holding a dagger, staring intently ahead, his face expressionless.

"I said, he's mine, and he can only be mine. Do you understand?" Liu Fang's face was contorted with rage.

The white-clad warrior nodded hastily, "Yes, yes, Miss Liu Fang is right." He even took a step back, his face beneath the mask filled with contempt. If headquarters hadn't told them to listen to Liu Fang, they would have already stormed off. Who would still be here serving them?

"You don't know who I'm talking about, do you?" Liu Fang suddenly turned to look at Leng Yue, seeing her confused expression. "I really envy that you can be so stupid!"

"How have you survived until now?" Leng Yue couldn't help but ask. Did he really think she was made of clay? Was it really fun to keep arguing with her? "I'm really curious, how did you manage to avoid being beaten to death!"

As soon as Leng Yue spoke, the white-clad man behind Liu Fang couldn't help but nod. Seeing Liu Fang turn around, he whistled and turned back, pretending nothing had happened.

“I’m talking about Yin Cang,” Liu Fang glanced at Leng Yue and the white-clad warrior. “Yin Cang is my ex-boyfriend. He broke up with me because he said he liked someone else. Would I agree to that?”

"It's better to part amicably, there's no need to make a fuss, right?" Leng Yue didn't quite understand.

"A clean break? Why should we break up? I love him so much!" Liu Fang's eyes were filled with confusion. "I won't allow it!"

"So, you killed him?" Leng Yue asked uncertainly. "After all, you loved him. There was no need to be so cruel, was there? You said he was your ex-boyfriend!"

"What do you know?" Liu Fang raised her voice again. "What do you know? I loved him so much, I thought his breakup was a lie, who knew..."

“You’re insane.” Leng Yue shook her head, and the man in white nodded again, thinking to himself that she had long since gone mad.
