"Yueyue?" Zero, who was imprisoned, looked at the person who suddenly appeared in front of him and thought he was dreaming.
Leng Yue was overjoyed. "We're really here, Ling. I'll take you away right now."
"Yueyue, it really is you!" Ling clung to the railing, reaching out her hand, which Leng Yue grasped in return. "I'll take you away now, and we'll travel to the small world together, never to be apart again."
"Yueyue, that's wonderful, that's wonderful! I knew you'd come." Ling smiled, while Leng Yue felt a pang of emotion. They had both lived half their lives and their hearts had begun to grow weary, but Ling remained the same innocent child.
“I knew you would wait for me,” Leng Yue patted Ling’s head through the railing. “It’s so good that you’re alright.”
"Alright, shouldn't we hurry up and leave?" Qianchen urged, seeing that the two seemed to have endless things to say.
“Yes, yes,” Leng Yue said, releasing Ling’s hand. “Ling, step back, I’ll open this door now.”
Zero obediently stepped back, and Leng Yue struck with all her might, opening the railing horizontally. Leng Yue pulled Zero out, and then the alarm went off wildly.
"Hurry!" Qianchen picked up Ling and pulled Lengyue outside. However, before they even reached the gate, they were surrounded by a group of robots.
"You can't escape now, so surrender quickly." The leader was a human man who looked at Leng Yue and the others. "Mission taker Leng Yue, as a defector, headquarters has decided to give you a chance to redeem yourself."
"Make amends for your crimes?" Leng Yue was speechless. "Are you kidding me? I'm not a three-year-old. Do you really think I'm stupid?"
"We mean what we say. As long as you help capture the top-level wanted criminal Qian Chen, we'll let you and your system go." The human man was expressionless, devoid of any personal emotion.
“What about me?” Leng Yue raised an eyebrow.
"Kill without mercy!" the man said without hesitation.
"Come on, let's see who wins. How will we know if we don't try?" Leng Yue took out a dagger and tossed it to Qian Chen. She then formed hand seals, channeling all her spiritual power. She no longer needed weapons; she could overwhelm mountains and seas with ease, so why would she fear these robots?
Qianchen can also move mountains and overturn seas, but he is more used to using weapons, so usually Qianchen uses the dagger more often.
Zero wasn't idle either; as soon as the robot appeared, he tried to control its program. However, after many attempts, he failed to read it.
They were all very imposing, while the other side remained nonchalant. The team leader looked unconcerned, and finally chuckled disdainfully, "You think you can stand up to headquarters? You're like a mantis trying to stop a chariot!" After saying that, the man waved his hand lightly, and the robots swarmed forward, surrounding Leng Yue and Qian Chen.
Soon, the leader's smile vanished, for his robots hadn't even touched a hair on Leng Yue's head before being completely taken over. Leng Yue used her hand like a blade, wielding it a few times, and the robots were chopped to pieces. Qian Chen was the same; that dagger had been with them for so long, and now it could not only cut through iron like mud, but also easily cleave even the hardest materials.
"You..." The leader panicked. This was the first time he had ever seen this armored legion. He hadn't even used his laser weapon before he was instantly killed!
"You're the last one." Leng Yue's face was filled with murderous intent as she reached out to strike the leader of the group. The leader was terrified and quickly begged for mercy, "Spare me, spare me! I'll tell you how to leave. Killing me won't do you any good, really."
Leng Yue looked at Qian Chen, "What should we do?"
Qianchen nodded, "Let's see what tricks he's trying to pull." Actually, neither Qianchen nor Lengyue trusted this man, but they came here not only for Ling, but also to learn about their past lives. However, this place is so vast, and if they searched for her themselves, they didn't know how long it would take. It would be faster to use this man.
The man took a lock from his waist; unexpectedly, it was a very traditional, even ancient lock. Then he took an old brass key and inserted it into the lock. With a single movement of his hand, the scene before them changed.
They arrived at a place of advanced civilization, a laboratory. But there were no humans present; all the machines operated on their own.
Fearing that Leng Yue and Qian Chen would become suspicious, the man smiled ingratiatingly, "There's a fast passage here. You can go straight out and no one will come back." However, his hand behind his back was frantically pressing a button hidden in the wall, which was also an alarm device.
"Yueyue, he's calling for help!" Ling shouted as soon as she saw the hand behind the man's back.
"You were lying to us after all?" Leng Yue grabbed the man by the collar. "In that case, we'll kill you first!"
As Leng Yue spoke, she grabbed the man's neck. But as she exerted force, she realized something was wrong. The man's neck was limp; it wasn't human at all.
"You're not human?" Leng Yue looked in surprise as the man removed his disguise in front of her, revealing a tall, thin figure that resembled an alien from a movie.
"Hahaha, you really are foolish humans!" the alien laughed arrogantly. "How could you possibly be a match for our great leader? You are truly overestimating yourselves!"
"An alien?" Zero exclaimed in surprise. "Then what am I?" Zero even doubted himself. Was he a product created by aliens? Was he no longer a system?
"You're a failure." The alien glanced at Zero. "But I never expected that you, this failure, could actually grow on your own? But it's useless now. You're all just inanimate objects today, and none of you can leave."
"You think you can trap us?" Leng Yue lowered her hand, and the spiritual energy in her hand transformed into a sword. This was entirely instinctive for Leng Yue; at this moment, she seemed to have become a different person.
Qianchen's eyes flickered. This cold moon was not the usual cold moon. He didn't know whether it was a good thing or a bad thing.
"You really came back?" a voice rang out, and at the same time, a figure appeared in the laboratory. Strangely, this figure wasn't an alien. It was just an ordinary-looking man, so ordinary that no one would recognize him in a crowd.
"And who are you?" Leng Yue pointed her sword at the newcomer, her expression unusually cold.
"Leader!" the alien addressed the ordinary man respectfully.
"Leng Yue, it's been a long time." The man ignored the alien and walked straight up to Leng Yue.
Leng Yue swung her sword to block, "Stop! Take one step forward, and you'll face the consequences!"
"Hehe, you've grown a lot!" the ordinary-looking man chuckled. "I'm so glad to see you again. I thought I'd never see you again."
"Who are you?" Leng Yue stared coldly at the ordinary man. She seemed to remember something, but it was all a blur.
“Wuqi,” the ordinary-looking man said with a smile, “I am your senior brother, do you remember?” The ordinary-looking man smiled so kindly that the others felt that the previous fight was just their imagination.
