Chapter 117 Childhood Sweethearts Are Poisonous (4)

When the elective class ended in the evening, Qianchen called Lengyue and told her he was waiting for her at the North Gate.

Leng Yue hung up the phone, picked up her books, and headed towards the north gate. She and Huang Shaohu had sat at the same desk all day, chatting about many things—some about studies, some about life. However, Huang Shaohu did most of the talking, and she listened.

Seeing that Leng Yue was about to leave, Huang Shaohu was still a little reluctant to part. "Let's be deskmates again tomorrow. I miss the feeling of having a fixed deskmate."

Leng Yue gave an awkward laugh. "Let's talk about it tomorrow. Goodbye."

"See you tomorrow!" Huang Shaohu and Leng Yue waved goodbye reluctantly as they parted ways downstairs at the teaching building.

Until the cold moon disappeared under the streetlights, until Huang Shaohu's roommate came over and patted him on the shoulder, "Why aren't you leaving yet? What are you looking at?"

Huang Shaohu then turned around and said to his roommate, "Leng Yue isn't aloof at all! Why do you all say she's aloof?"

"Isn't she aloof? I doubt she even knows all the students in our class. Let's go, I heard she already has a boyfriend, so don't even think about it." My roommate said and left first, "Hurry up, we still have ranked games to play when we get back!"

Huang Shaohu wanted to explain that he wasn't trying to pursue Leng Yue; he just found talking to her effortless. To be honest, others found it hard to understand why he, at such a young age, was a devout Buddhist. But Leng Yue was different. It was clear that although she had also been surprised, she simply felt something was different.

Leng Yue had no idea what Huang Shaohu thought.

"What did you have for dinner? Do you want to go get a late-night snack?" After Leng Yue fastened her seatbelt, Qian Chen asked her what she wanted to eat.

"I'm not really hungry, but hearing you say that makes me want to eat something." Leng Yue looked at the cars on the road, hesitated for a moment, and then replied, "How about we go eat clam noodles? I haven't had them in ages."

"Of course, I know a pretty good place called Longmen Clams." Qianchen knew that Lengyue liked these snacks, so she had done her research beforehand. Qianchen always felt that they didn't spend enough time together, so she always wanted to do her best to give her the best.

Leng Yue smiled, "I miss it so much. It's been so long since I've had Longmen Jiajia."

"I'll take you to eat now, but make it clear, you can't eat anything too spicy, or you'll get a sore throat." Qianchen was conflicted; he wanted to go along with Leng Yue, but he didn't want her to get hurt. He was really worried about her.

"Okay, okay, just mildly spicy," Leng Yue assured, raising her hand.

Afterwards, Qianchen asked Lengyue about things at school, and Lengyue thought of Huang Shaohu. "Let me tell you, Huang Shaohu is such a cute boy. He's in his early twenties, a Buddhist, and can even recite the Great Compassion Mantra and the Diamond Sutra. Isn't that amazing?"

Qian Chen just smiled, but he kept Huang Shaohu's name in mind. He couldn't let his guard down as long as it interested Leng Yue.

As a result, Leng Yue, oblivious to everyone else, kept talking and talking. She only stopped when they arrived at the clam restaurant and started eating the clams, completely unaware that Qian Chen's face had already turned as black as it could possibly be!

It wasn't until she was lying in bed that night that Leng Yue belatedly realized that Qian Chen hadn't been holding her while she slept.

"What's wrong?" Leng Yue turned around and hugged Qian Chen, raising her upper body to look at him.

Seeing that Qianchen remained silent, Lengyue asked again, "Are you angry?"

Qian Chen still didn't answer, so Leng Yue simply sat up. She reached out and massaged Qian Chen's face, "Alright, little brother, don't be angry. You're not handsome when you're angry!"

It was supposed to be a massage, but Leng Yue wasn't serious at all. She just rubbed and kneaded haphazardly, making a racket. Qian Chen initially pretended to be asleep, but after only a few minutes, he rolled over and pinned Leng Yue down.

"You naughty girl, see if you dare mention other men again!" Qianchen said, pinching Lengyue's cheek.

Leng Yue was naturally ticklish, and when pinched, she giggled and begged loudly, "I won't do it again, I won't do it again, I promise I won't mention it again..."

Zero watched from inside the space, shaking his head and sighing. Just as he was about to speak up for Leng Yue, he noticed a sudden change in the atmosphere between the two.

Pink bubbles seemed to emanate from the two of them; the two who had been bickering moments before were now whispering sweet nothings to each other. Zero sighed and turned off the communicator.

"I guess we can't talk about the mission today. I'll chat with Xiaomei instead." Zero said, then went to go online again, opening a small window to monitor Lü Li.

Lü Li was quite amusing; while Zero was monitoring her, she was monitoring Leng Yue on her phone. Every time Lü Li saw Leng Yue's virtual image, she would reveal a vicious look in her eyes, which terrified Zero. He was just a man, why the fuss? Zero realized that, apart from Leng Yue, it still couldn't understand the thoughts of anyone else.

While monitoring Leng Yue, Lü Li chatted with Yu Shao Chen, multitasking. She was clenched in her teeth when facing Leng Yue, yet tender and affectionate when talking to Yu Shao Chen. Her clenched teeth were filled with resentment, while her words were subtly alluring. Zero watched in awe, marveling that it wasn't human and couldn't comprehend how Lü Li had achieved such a level of skill.

Ling admired Lü Li very much. If someone like her became a mission taker, what mission couldn't she complete?

Judging from Lü Li's expression, Zero felt there was something they didn't know. Why was she spying on Leng Yue? Was it just to take private photos of Leng Yue?

Ling Bai was completely baffled, so he focused on chatting with Xiao Mei.

Leng Yue felt there was something she hadn't done, but her mind wouldn't allow her to think about it further. She simply gave up and thought to herself, "It's nothing serious, I'll deal with it tomorrow."

Seeing Leng Yue fall into a deep sleep, Qian Chen propped himself up on his arm and looked at her with a satisfied smile, looking as happy as a fool...

Only when the sun shone through the window and shone on Leng Yue's face did she slowly open her eyes. Leng Yue felt so tired all over that she didn't want to move at all. She grabbed her phone and realized it was already ten o'clock. Leng Yue exclaimed, "Oh no, oh no, I'm going to be late today!"

Hearing the sound, Qianchen walked over, his voice slightly low, "Sleep peacefully, I've already asked for leave for you."

After hearing this, Leng Yue lay heavily on the bed. "That's good. It would be embarrassing if I couldn't graduate."

"Breakfast is ready, would you like some?" Qianchen has now adapted well to his role as a stay-at-home husband.

Leng Yue, however, was quite uncooperative, saying, "I'm not eating, I want to sleep..."

Without the pressure, Leng Yue fell into a deep sleep again after speaking. Qian Chen sighed helplessly, "She really is like a little pig..."

“Hmm,” Leng Yue replied reflexively, completely unaware of what Qian Chen was saying.

"Alright," Qianchen kissed Lengyue's forehead, "I'll keep your breakfast warm, remember to eat it when you get up."

“Hmm,” Leng Yue hummed again.

"I really don't want to go to work, but I still have to support my wife. I'm leaving now. Be good at home." Qianchen kissed Lengyue again, and Lengyue hummed in agreement.

Qianchen chuckled and pinched Lengyue's cheek again before reluctantly leaving.
