Chapter 73 A Black Bean Came to Life (4)

It wasn't until the first ray of sunlight pierced through the clouds and shone into the grass that Leng Yue opened her sleepy eyes.

A crystal-clear dewdrop hung on Leng Yue's head, reflecting a dazzling light in the sunlight. A gentle breeze blew by, and the dewdrop trembled, swaying a few times before dripping onto her bean. Leng Yue shuddered, instantly losing all sleepiness.

Just then, a voice came from the side, "Who are you? How did you, you dark-skinned creature, steal my elixir?"

Leng Yue looked around. Being so small, all she could see were grass roots and leaves; nothing else. "Excuse me, who are you? Where are you?"

"I'm here!" The voice came from the grass.

Leng Yue looked closely and saw that it was a deep red animal, but she didn't know what kind it was. "Is it you?"

"Yes, who else could it be but me? You really don't know the rules. Don't you know that all the celestial dew here belongs to someone?" The red animal slowly moved towards Leng Yue, who watched it warily. As the red animal drew closer, Leng Yue finally saw its true form—it was a huge earthworm!

"You... what do you want?" Leng Yue gasped. The earthworm seemed enormous to her at this moment. She couldn't help but move closer to the bamboo dragonfly, ready to escape at any moment.

"My name is Yun, and I am the guardian of this immortal herb. Who are you? I've never seen you before. Where do you come from?" Yun asked a series of questions in one breath.

Seeing that Ling showed no sign of anger or intention to attack, Leng Yue felt relieved and replied, "My name is Leng Yue. I just came from the western mountains and plan to go to the eastern mountains to cultivate."

Leng Yue thought for a moment and then said, "I'm sorry about what happened just now. I didn't know it was celestial dew, so..."

"You came yesterday, didn't you? So you're the one who stepped on me!" Ying suddenly interrupted Leng Yue, her attitude changing, as if she were settling a score.

"Um, well..." Leng Yue didn't know what to say. So they still had old grudges. What should she do?

"With your recklessness, what could you possibly do at Suxian Mountain?" Ying looked at Leng Yue strangely. "Besides, you said you came from the west, which I don't quite believe. It's not only far from here, but there's also a barrier between us. How did you manage to cross that barrier?"

"A barrier? There isn't one." Leng Yue thought about it carefully but still couldn't figure out where the barrier was.

"You didn't encounter any danger?" Ying looked at Leng Yue probingly, thinking to herself, is this what they mean by 'fools have good luck'?

"Dangerous things? I think so! We encountered a tornado on the way here, I wonder if that counts?" Leng Yue replied honestly.

"That's right, I thought the barrier had malfunctioned! Looks like you're lucky, little thing." Ying concluded, quite pleased with himself.

"Um... should I compensate you or what? I'm in a hurry to get on my way..." Leng Yue was really anxious. This body was really uncomfortable. It was round, dark, and had no hands, feet, head, or face. It didn't look like a human at all.

"I doubt you'll compensate me anyway. Ignorance is no excuse, so let's let it go this time." Yun glanced at Leng Yue and didn't pursue the matter further.

Leng Yue was taken aback. "You're such a good person."

The arrogant creature nodded, "As a guardian of immortal herbs, how could I not be a good person? Hey? I'm not human, I'm a guardian!"

"Then you are a good guardian! Thank you, Yun! Until we meet again!" After saying that, Leng Yue summoned the bamboo dragonfly, jumped on it, and prepared to leave.

Watching Leng Yue's bamboo dragonfly, Yun didn't say anything more, but she knew in her heart why Leng Yue had been able to come. Only when she could no longer see Leng Yue's bamboo dragonfly did Yun lazily return to the roots of the immortal herb to sleep. Without the nourishment of immortal dew, Yun had little energy.

Leng Yue quickly arrived at Suxian Mountain. Looking down from the air, Suxian Mountain was truly magnificent, like a fairyland. Leng Yue stared blankly for a while, and finally, the bamboo dragonfly, not receiving any instructions, landed on the spot.

The cold moonlight fell on the open space in front of the waterfall, and a rainbow formed in the mist from the waterfall under the sunlight. Below the rainbow was a clear stream, the water so clear that you could see the bottom, but no fish or shrimp could be seen in it.

Leng Yue chose a secluded spot, put away the bamboo dragonfly, and began cultivating by the stream.

Perhaps it was the nature of plants, or perhaps the environment was simply too beautiful. Ever since entering this Immortal Mountain, Leng Yue felt her body brimming with spiritual energy, and she had a feeling of wanting to transform.

As soon as Leng Yue closed her eyes, the surge in spiritual energy attracted the attention of the mountain god.

In the dim light, Leng Yue heard a pleasant voice, "I wondered who was making such a commotion? It's you, little thing! I am Su Yue, the mountain god of Su Xian Mountain. You're not safe here. Let me take you back to my cave!"

Leng Yue felt as if she were being held in someone's hands. She wanted to struggle, but how could she go home with strangers who were not related to her? But it was no use. She was in deep trouble and couldn't escape this vortex at all.

Suxian Mountain Flowing Cloud Cave

Leng Yue was currently in a flowerpot, but its size had increased to two or three times its original size. Leng Yue was still unconscious. Su Yue stood beside it, stroking his chin and muttering to himself, "Why hasn't this little thing woken up yet? It shouldn't be like this. So many plants here cultivate, but none of them have grown this much."

"Should we water it? Or should we fertilize it? What kind of fertilizer do we have here? Are we going to get some recycled grains?" Su Yue thought it made more and more sense, but then he frowned. "But I find it messy. How about we get a few underlings to do this?"

While Su Yue was struggling with his decision, Ling saw what was happening on Leng Yue's side. Seeing Su Yue's unreliable behavior, Ling became anxious. It knew that the Five Grains Reincarnation Item was Leng Yue's biggest psychological trauma, and it couldn't let her relive that nightmare.

"Yuenyue, Yuenyue..." Zero was getting anxious. It hadn't dared to show itself before, but now the situation was different, and it had to take the risk.

"Who is it?" Su Yue seemed to hear Ling's voice, looked down at Leng Yue, his face full of doubt, "Eh, is it you, little thing? What? Are you moved by this mountain god? Well, for a great mountain god like me to condescend to think of you little things like this, you are truly fortunate!"

Su Yue was so moved by his own words that Zero was almost sick of hearing it in the space. However, he only dared to complain in his heart. Zero had to admit that Su Yue, this mountain god, seemed a bit crazy, but he was indeed very sensitive. He had only said one sentence to Leng Yue and Su Yue had already noticed it. He was truly worthy of the gods.

"Forget it, don't be so touched. This mountain god will go find someone to get you fertilizer right away!" Su Yue said, tossing his hair and leaving with an air of nonchalance.

Ling waited until Su Yue could no longer be seen, then quickly continued to call out to Leng Yue.

"Yueyue, hurry, it's an emergency!" Ling shouted in Leng Yue's ear, "If you don't wake up soon, you'll be doused with manure! Leng Yue, wake up, wake up..."

Seeing Su Yue appear at the cave entrance with his men, Ling covered her fish eyes in her spatial dimension, unable to bear the sight! Leng Yue, however, remained oblivious, still battling the monster in her dream…
