The sleepy Kong Wenhan's eyelids moved and he slowly opened his eyes.
The room was large, and I was lying on the floor. Han Liang was at my feet, beginning to wake up. There were several other people around me, their mouths taped with plastic wrap, their eyes covered with black cloth, and their hands and feet bound.
The ropes on his body had been untied. Kong Wenhan tore off the tape on his mouth, touched the gun hidden on his back, and kicked Han Liang.
Han Liang got up from the ground, grinned and rubbed the back of his hand, and saw a needle hole with coagulated blood on it.
Hiss, it hurts so much. Can't Chen Mu be gentler when removing the anesthetic?
Kong Wenhan tore off the tape on a strange man and pushed his body.
"How did you get here?" Kong Wenhan asked.
The man was in a trance for a moment, and said hoarsely: "I, I'm from a nearby town."
"Some time ago, some people drove into town. They had guns and people with special abilities. I came here in a daze..."
"Do you know what the situation is?" Han Liang asked.
The man's lips were dry and even bleeding after the tape was removed: "I don't know, but they often take people out of here and never come back."
After cutting the restraints on the man, Kong Wenhan and Han Liang followed the same method to untie the others. There were six survivors in total. They were from the same town as the man and didn't know much.
Kong Wenhan did not have the convenient psychic abilities like Zhu Yuanqing, so he could only let Han Liang look after the survivors while he went out to investigate.
There was no one outside, and the rooms next door were also empty. Kong Wenhan did not find any trace of anyone until he had walked through the entire first floor.
There is a huge iron door installed at the entrance of the stairs on the second floor, and the stairs and corridors of each building above are sealed tightly.
The chain looked strong and it was impossible to get in without a key. Kong Wenhan was hesitating whether to break the door in and take a look when he heard voices outside the door.
Kong Wenhan's eyes flashed, and he turned back to the room.
"Brother Yi, let me tell you, Old Chen wasn't very proactive just now. We were about to catch him, but he kept talking nonsense, and that's why Chen Mu ran away!"
"Old Chen." Yi An asked with a smile, "Is what the skinny guy said true?"
Old Chen said nothing. Seeing Yi An getting impatient, he slowly asked, "Yi An, where is my grandson?"
Yi An was startled, then smiled and said, "Of course I am fine. You saved my life. Without you, there would be no Yi An today. How could I treat your grandson badly?"
"Forget it this time, Lao Chen, you wait outside, Skinny and I will go in and take a look."
When they arrived at the room where the person was imprisoned and pushed the door open, Yi An's face changed.
Visible arcs of electricity shot out from in front of him and around him, and he quickly retreated: "Thin guy!"
When the thin man heard the boss's order, he released his fire ability without even looking, and a meter-high flame pressed into the room.
But after a while, he heard a sarcastic laugh, and his flames were suppressed again.
"How dare you show off this little fire?"
The overwhelming orange-red flames poured out from the door. In comparison, the fire just released by the thin man looked like a chick.
Because he didn't retreat in time, white smoke came out of his hair and there was a smell of burnt protein.
A handful of water was poured on the thin man's head. Yi An frowned and saw several sneaky figures approaching near the gate. He shifted his gaze away indifferently and focused his attention on the big enemy in front of him.
The door panel had been burned into charcoal, and there was a raging flame behind Kong Wenhan, but he walked out without hesitation.
"Captain Kong?" Yi An narrowed his eyes, and seeing that there was no one in the room except him, he laughed in anger, "Have you removed the anesthetic?"
"That's right." He gritted his teeth, "After all, you still have an accomplice who is still out there and hasn't been caught."
He had obviously figured it out: "So, you're coming for me?"
Kong Wenhan's expression remained unchanged. Yi An thought about the quarrel between these people at the beginning and suddenly laughed: "No, that's not right. How could I be so worthy that you would spend so much effort on me?"
"Are you here for those researchers? Have you been acting from the beginning? Those two people I captured weren't real researchers, were they?"
He asked several questions in a row, and his expression became uglier the more he asked. Kong Wenhan had no interest in answering him, so he rushed towards the two men with flames, and at the same time took out the gun on his body.
Damn it! Yi An used a wall of water to block the way behind him, and ran out of the corridor without paying attention to the thin man who was howling like a ghost.
He has been the king here for several years and has a group of subordinates. He didn't expect that his lair would be destroyed by a few outsiders today.
A burst of gunfire rang out behind him, and the thin man's cries also disappeared.
The water wall hissed, Yi An's expression was serious, the temperature behind him was getting higher and higher. When he saw that he was only two or three meters away from the gate, his eyes lit up.
"Old Chen! Call everyone else over!"
As he was shouting, he saw another figure walking in from outside the door.
Han Liang pointed the gun at him, his finger on the trigger.
Yi An stopped moving forward, turned sharply and rushed to the side. A bullet fell where he had just stood.
Lightning and lightning surrounded Han Liang along the ground. Han Liang was also a water-based mutant, but water conducts electricity. His face changed and he took two steps back out of the door.
But the gun was still pointed at Yi An.
"Old Chen!" The flames behind him were getting closer and closer, and his retreat routes were blocked. Yi An hurriedly got up from the ground, took out the pistol he was holding, pointed it at Kong Wenhan, and shouted again.
Lao Chen also had a gun in his hand. As long as he could control Han Liang, it was not impossible for him to escape.
Moreover, his eyes were wet with sweat caused by the high temperature, and he glanced at the iron chain swinging on the iron gate with panic.
