Chapter 3 Surrounded

Passing through the crowd of people who were sitting or lying down, Kong Wenhan brought Zhu Yuanqing to a large tent that was particularly different.

Zhu Yuanqing lifted the curtain and went in, and saw a young man in a white coat sitting inside.

He looks gentle and easy-going, wears a pair of frameless glasses, and has an elegant temperament. He doesn't look like someone from the end of the world at all.

Seeing someone come in, the man put down the pen in his hand and said, "Captain Kong?"

Kong Wenhan nodded, revealing Zhu Yuanqing who was following behind him.

"Feibai?" Hang Zixuan was surprised, his face full of joy.

He quickly stood up and walked over to us while asking, "Feibai, does the back of your neck feel okay? Captain Kong was so excited when he heard the news yesterday that he put in a lot of effort."

He explained the matter clearly in two or three sentences. Zhu Yuanqing felt a dull pain on the back of his neck and finally knew who had caused his eyes to go dark.

Kong Wenhan didn't respond, but asked, "How's the research going?"

Seeing his serious expression, Hang Zixuan also realized that something might have happened. He glanced at Zhu Yuanqing apologetically, then turned to Kong Wenhan and shook his head: "It's still the same as before."

Kong Wenhan had anticipated this and didn't react at all. He said to him, "Jiang Feibai has awakened his spiritual power. Now pack up and prepare to evacuate. Keep an eye on him for me."

"What happened?" Hang Zixuan asked.

"Let him explain himself." Kong Wenhan said.

After saying that, he lifted the curtain and walked out of the tent.

Zhu Yuanqing heard a whistle outside the tent and met Hang Zixuan's inquiring gaze: "Hang Zixuan."

Hang Zixuan was quickly clearing the documents and equipment on the table. He said in a gentle voice, "Feibai used to call me Zixuan. Didn't we become strangers overnight?"

There was a hint of sarcasm in his words, and it was obvious that he had a very good relationship with the original owner.

Of course, after all, the original owner had gained ten points of dog-licking value.

"I thought about it carefully last night. I've disturbed Researcher Hang quite a bit in the past. I need to be more careful in the future, otherwise I might make things difficult for him."

Hang Zixuan shook his head, looked up at him, and smiled faintly: "How could that be? Feibai has helped me so much, I can't thank him enough, how could you find it difficult?"

He was talking and looking at Zhu Yuanqing, but his hands were moving in an orderly manner and he quickly packed up a small box.

"Okay." Hang Zixuan closed the lid. "Captain Kong was very anxious just now. Did something happen? And your mental strength...?"

Zhu Yuanqing said half-truthfully, "I felt uneasy last night, feeling like there was danger. Then I had a dream where we were surrounded by zombies."

"Then I unexpectedly discovered that I seemed to have psychic powers. Unfortunately, they were unstable, and I was afraid you wouldn't believe me, so I planned to make some noise to draw your attention. Unexpectedly, I was discovered and even arrested as a runaway."

In the original owner's memory, people with psychic abilities are rare, and everyone's tendencies are different. Zhu Yuanqing is not afraid that they will find something wrong.

Hang Zixuan really had no doubts: "No wonder."

"That……"

"Bang!"

A gunshot rang out like thunder out of nowhere, interrupting the conversation between the two.

"What's wrong?!" Hang Zixuan picked up the box and looked at Zhu Yuanqing in surprise and doubt.

"There are a large number of zombies approaching nearby. They should have encountered them. This is what I told Captain Kong." Zhu Yuanqing nodded.

Immediately afterwards, gunshots rang out one after another, and there was the sound of chaotic running.

At this time, a dark-skinned man opened the curtain and said hurriedly: "Mr. Hang, the captain asked me to take you to the car."

"I'm coming right up." Hang Zixuan recognized him as the deputy captain, Han Liang, and hurried out. "Fei Bai, Captain Kong asked me to take care of you. You should come along too."

Before Zhu Yuanqing could react, Han Liang frowned and said disapprovingly, "He's just an ordinary person, how can he be qualified to be with you?"

"There's limited space in the car. Since he dares to run out, he should just stay here."

Hang Zixuan's eyes glared and he stopped in his tracks: "So, Deputy Captain Han doesn't want to take Feibai away?"

"What does this have to do with him?" Han Liang hurried forward, trying to grab the box from his hand. "Mr. Hang, the situation outside is critical. Please get in the car with me immediately. It will be too late if you wait any longer!"

Hang Zixuan avoided his action and took two steps back: "I said, Captain Kong asked me to take care of Feibai. If he doesn't leave, I won't leave either."

"Oh! Mr. Hang!" Han Liang frowned, gritted his teeth, and looked at Zhu Yuanqing, "What are you still waiting for! Didn't you hear what Mr. Hang said? Come on!"

Zhu Yuanqing shook his head: "Researcher Hang should go with the deputy captain. I can't go."

Han Liang's expression changed: "What do you mean? I asked you to leave, but you still don't leave?"

Hang Zixuan also looked at him worriedly.

"Deputy Captain Han, if you're getting angry, drink more water. Don't be like a powder keg that explodes at any moment. If someone doesn't know you, they might think you have fire-type abilities."

Zhu Yuanqing walked slowly to Han Liang's side and said to Hang Zixuan, "Researcher Hang, there are zombies everywhere around me now. I have nowhere to run. If Captain Kong asks about it later, just say that I left on my own."

As he spoke, he turned sideways, pulled out a long knife from behind Han Liang, whose face changed drastically, and rushed out of the tent without looking back.

Han Liang reached out to stop him, but found that he could not keep up with Zhu Yuanqing's speed at all, and could only see his back.

Hang Zixuan was stunned: "You..."

Before he could finish, Zhu Yuanqing had disappeared.

The only people left in the tent were the astonished researcher and Han Liang, whose face was turning pale and blue.
