Chapter 11: The Cold Buddhist Son vs. the Spoiled Princess (11)

In the darkness, Lechen opened his eyes instantly and his whole body froze.

Jiang Jingyu, who got what she wanted, curled her lips, pretended to be asleep, and snuggled into Chen's arms, treating him as a human pillow and hugging his waist with her hands and feet.

This action made Lechen's usually calm heart beat wildly uncontrollably, and his hands hanging on both sides clenched into fists unconsciously. While doing this, he could even clearly feel the black hair that was accidentally pinched between his fingers.

Lechen clenched his hands and then quickly let go.

He pressed his thin lips into a slit and looked at the person resting his head on his chest in the darkness.

"Princess, wake up."

Jiang Jingyu pretended not to hear and continued to hold Lechen and pretend to sleep.

Liaochen frowned and raised his voice: "Princess, get up."

Jiang Jingyu still didn't say a word. Lechen's breathing became slightly heavier. After hesitating for a while, he reached out to push him. However, as soon as he made this move, Jiang Jingyu twisted her body uncomfortably.

"Well, stop it."

Jiang Jingyu mumbled incoherently in her sleep, and her arms around Lechen's waist tightened.

Listening to Jiang Jingyu's steady breathing, Lechen suddenly remembered what she had just said. He raised his hand and slowly lowered it, letting her lean on him.

Well, she hasn't had a good sleep in all these years, so let her sleep peacefully.

In the end, Liaochen adhered to the compassionate attitude of Buddha and did not push Jiang Jingyu away.

But what he didn't know was that in the dark night, Jiang Jingyu was like a successful little fox, with the corners of his lips raised.

After tossing and turning for most of the night, Jiang Jingyu soon fell asleep in her arms around Lechen.

Fortunately, the weather was nice, and the originally hot weather turned into a cool breeze when the two of them were pressed against each other, so they didn't feel sticky at all even though they were so close.

The originally peaceful night became less peaceful because of Jiang Jingyu's action.

Although Liaochen had his eyes closed, his twitching eyelids suggested that he was not asleep. With Xiangruan in his arms, Liaochen felt a little at a loss.

He tried hard to control himself and empty his mind, treating everything in front of him as a dream, but the faint fragrance lingering in front of his nose and the body temperature through his clothes told him that everything in the moment was real.

Some people slept soundly that night, but some people were so distracted that they couldn't fall asleep at all.

When Jiang Jingyu woke up the next day, she was already in bed, and the bedding roll beside the bed had been moved back by Lechen.

She sat on the bed and stretched: "When did that beautiful monk leave?"

【When the day breaks.】

Dongdongyao knew exactly what happened last night.

Jiang Jingyu raised her eyebrows. Does that mean he hugged her all night?

Lechen did let Jiang Jingyu sleep against him all night, and only carefully carried her back to bed at dawn.

She said that as long as he could hold on until dawn the nightmare would be gone, so he held on until dawn.

Jiang Jingyu changed her clothes and pretended to be unaware of what happened last night. She went to the yard to wash up as if nothing had happened.

Jiang Jingzhan waited for several days at the inn at the foot of the mountain but did not receive any letter from Jiang Jingyu. He knew that the imperial sister did not want him to stay in the temple with her.

Before returning to the imperial city, he wanted to take one last look at his sister, so he went to the town early to buy some cakes that Jiang Jingyu liked. Fearing that she would not be able to get used to the vegetarian food in the temple, he also bought her some vegetarian buns and pies from the town.

His body was covered with oil-paper bags of all sizes. Since the inn was not far from Fo'an Temple, and Jiang Jingzhan was afraid that the buns and pies would get cold, he rode his horse as fast as he could to get to Fo'an Temple.

After greeting Master Jingkong, Jiang Jingzhan was brought to Luoxia Peak by a young monk. From a distance, he saw Jiang Jingyu standing in front of the pond teasing the little goldfish.

"Yu'er!"

Seeing the imperial sister, Jiang Jingzhan excitedly waved to Jiang Jingyu and ran towards her.

After hearing his voice, Jiang Jingyu turned around, a little surprised that Jiang Jingzhan would come over at this time.

"Yu'er, look what good things my brother has brought you!"

Jiang Jingzhan ran excitedly to Jiang Jingyu and stopped in front of her, spreading his arms to show her the oil-paper bags hanging on his arms and body.

"Royal brother? Why haven't you gone back yet?"

Jiang Jingyu, who realized that as long as Jiang Jingzhan didn't get too close to her, would not have any bad luck, did not avoid him or speak coldly to him as before.

Jiang Jingzhan, who had been worried that Jiang Jingyu would blame him for coming so rashly, grinned and said, "I'm leaving today, but I thought I'd come see Yu'er before leaving! Yu'er, you haven't eaten yet, right? I brought you some freshly baked buns and pies, eat them while they're hot!"

Jiang Jingyu nodded: "Brother, please follow me and put the things down first."

After she finished speaking, she turned around and went upstairs. Jiang Jingzhan followed slowly behind her, looking around as he walked.

After taking a look around, Jiang Jingzhan was very satisfied with this place. The scenery here is beautiful, which is very suitable for Yu'er to recuperate!

Jiang Jingyu brought Jiang Jingzhan to her room. Jiang Jingzhan put the oil-paper bag hanging on his body on the table and introduced it as he put it there.

"These are the cakes Yu'er likes to eat, and these are some snacks you like to eat. And these, I heard they are the specialties of the town, I bought some too, and Yu'er will try them later."

"I understand, my royal brother."

Jiang Jingyu stood aside, looking at him with a smile, obviously in a good mood.

Jiang Jingzhan, who was used to Jiang Jingyu's cold words or silence, was a little flattered by her sudden change. He scratched his head and said quickly, "Eat the buns while they're still hot, Yu'er!"

"Master Liaochen probably hasn't eaten yet, let's call him to join us."

After she went downstairs, the first thing she did was to take a look at the Buddhist hall. She found that there was no one inside and there was no one in the yard. The only possibility was that Lechen was still in the room and had not come out.

"The room is a bit stuffy. When I came here just now, I saw a stone table in the yard. Why don't we take the food to the yard to eat?"

Jiang Jingyu nodded, and while Jiang Jingzhan was bringing the buns and pies to the yard, she went to the next room.

"Master Liaochen, my brother brought breakfast. Would you like to eat together?"

Liaochen was sitting on the bed in meditation. When he heard Jiang Jingyu's voice, he paused twirling the Buddhist beads in his hand and said lightly, "I'm not hungry."

"Well, eat it whenever you're hungry. I'll save it for you."

Jiang Jingyu didn't say anything more to persuade her and turned to go downstairs.

She knew that someone didn't want to see her because of what happened last night, but since she had made up her mind to pretend she didn't know, she decided not to interfere too much in Lu Chen's affairs as she had done before.

After hearing no movement outside the door, Lechen opened his eyes.

Would his sudden change of behavior arouse suspicion?

Judging from her attitude just now, it seemed that she didn't know what happened last night.

In order to prevent Jiang Jingyu from noticing anything unusual, Lechen finally stood up and opened the door after a struggle...
