Chapter 6: The School Bully vs. the Pretending to be a Pig and Eating a Tiger Childhood Sweetheart (06)

Fang Siyan curled the corners of his mouth and was finally able to say something to Jiang Jingyu.

"haven't seen you for a long time."

Jiang Jingyu blatantly looked Fang Siyan up and down: "I didn't expect that Brother Siyan has changed so much in nine years."

Fang Siyan said nothing and walked straight towards Jiang Jingyu: "Sit down."

The two who met again did not talk about everything like they did when they were children. Fang Siyan found that he had accumulated a lot of things to say over the years and wanted to tell Jiang Jingyu when they met again.

But now she was sitting next to him, but he couldn't say a word and didn't know where to start.

Fortunately, the awkwardness did not last long. Tang Wanhua and Ming Jingxian soon came out of the kitchen with washed fruits.

"Jingxian, stop working and sit down. Come, Jingyu, have some fruit."

Tang Wanhua invited Ming Jingxian to take a seat while placing the washed fruit plate in front of Jiang Jingyu.

In the end, Ming Jingxian sat next to Jiang Jingyu, while Tang Wanhua sat next to Fang Siyan.

"Si Yan, your Aunt Ming and Jing Yu just moved in yesterday and live across from our house. From now on, you can go to and from school with Jing Yu so that she can keep you company on the way."

"Jingyu just transferred here and isn't very familiar with this place yet. You should take better care of her from now on. Don't mess around with Shen Que and the others all the time. The college entrance exam is less than a year away. While there's still time, you guys should learn from Jingyu. Jingyu is a true academic master!"

Since his parents divorced, Fang Siyan has become taciturn and rebellious. Whenever Tang Wanhua nagged him about studying, Fang Siyan would either lock himself in the bedroom or slam the door and leave.

Tang Wanhua was also helpless about this. She was afraid that if she said too much, she would annoy Fang Siyan again, so she didn't dare to mention anything related to study in front of him anymore.

Now Ming Jingxian and Jiang Jingyu are at home, and knowing that Jiang Jingyu's academic performance is so good, Tang Wanhua couldn't help but nag again.

"Aunt Tang may not know this yet, but I'm now sitting at the same table with Brother Si Yan."

"Really?" Tang Wanhua was overjoyed. "That's great, Jingyu. I'll leave your brother Si Yan's studies in your hands!"

Jiang Jingyu smiled and said, "No problem, Aunt Tang."

When old friends meet again, there are always endless things to talk about. As they sat together, it gradually darkened before they knew it.

"Oh, it's already this late. Jingyu, Jingxian, are you hungry? I'll go make you some food right now."

Tang Wanhua accidentally glanced at the clock on the wall and found that it was already half past six.

"No, no, Wanhua, don't bother. Let's go home and eat. Jingyu's dad should be back by now, and your Mr. Fang should be getting off work soon, right?"

When Ming Jingxian's family first moved, they kept in touch with Tang Wanhua. However, later something happened at Tang Wanhua's family, so she changed her cell phone number. She didn't want to bother Ming Jingxian's family with her own troubles, so she gradually lost contact with Ming Jingxian.

Ming Jingxian didn't know that Tang Wanhua had already divorced Fang Bozhong, so she asked casually.

The words had already been spoken, and it was too late for Jiang Jingyu to stop him.

The air suddenly became quiet.

"Jingxian, Bozhong and I divorced three years ago."

Three years have passed since the incident, and Tang Wanhua can now remain calm when the past is brought up again.

Ming Jingxian looked apologetic: "I'm sorry, Wanhua, I didn't mean it, I..."

"Oh, it's okay, Jingxian, don't worry about it. Are you really not eating here?"

"There are still a lot of things to clean up at home. I'll come to your house another day."

Ming Jingxian stood up and said, "It's getting late, you guys should hurry up and cook, we won't disturb you for now."

"Goodbye Aunt Tang, goodbye Brother Si Yan."

Jiang Jingyu waved to Tang Wanhua and Fang Siyan, stood up and walked towards the shoe cabinet behind the door with Ming Jingxian.

"Jingyu, come over to our house more often when you have nothing to do. Tomorrow is the weekend, so go to school with your brother Siyan on Monday."

"I understand, Aunt Tang. It's just a few steps away. You don't have to send me off. Go and cook."

"It's okay, don't worry."

By the time Jiang Jingyu and Ming Jingxian changed their shoes, Tang Wanhua had already walked to the door and opened it for them. She watched them go home before turning around and going home.

"That's great! I didn't expect that after all these years we'd become neighbors with your Aunt Ming again!"

After returning home, Tang Wanhua couldn't help but sigh again, with excitement in her tone.

"Si Yan, your Aunt Ming and Uncle Jiang have just arrived in Luocheng. Remember to help them if they need any help. Your Aunt Ming and her family have helped our family a lot in the past."

"You and Jingyu grew up together and have a relationship as close as siblings. You need to take good care of your sister at school, okay?"

It was rare that Fang Siyan was willing to listen to her nagging today, so Tang Wanhua couldn't help but nag a few more times.

"knew."

Fang Siyan responded lightly and returned to the bedroom when Tang Wanhua went to the kitchen to cook.

Fang Siyan returned to the bedroom and lay on the bed with his arms and legs spread out. His mind was filled with the scene of Jiang Jingyu calling him Brother Siyan.

The flaxen hair that he had just casually grabbed fell down again, hanging loosely in front of his forehead, covering half of his eyes.

The young man lay on the bed, his eyes reflecting the last rays of sunlight left as the sun set. The corners of his mouth were slightly raised, revealing a shallow arc. It was obvious that he was in a very happy mood.

——

Ever since they went to Fang Siyan's house that day, the two of them hadn't met again over the weekend.

Jiang Jingyu and her family did a thorough cleaning over the weekend and tidied up their new home thoroughly.

Jiang's father's job was transferred, and Jiang's mother also applied to her company to transfer her work station to Los Angeles. Now they have bought this house, and the family will settle down in Los Angeles in the future.

The weekend passed in the blink of an eye and it was Monday morning.

"Mom, I'm done eating. I'm going to school first!"

Jiang Jingyu picked up a glass of milk, drank it, said hello to Jiang Ma, and hurriedly changed his shoes.

She was so exhausted from the cleaning these past two days that she almost didn't get up today. It was already 6:10 when she opened her eyes.

The school started morning self-study at 6:40. Jiang Jingyu washed up, didn't even bother to eat breakfast, picked up her schoolbag and ran out of the house.

"Jingyu, Jingyu, get an egg!"

Mother Jiang glanced at the almost untouched breakfast on the table, chased after him and called out, but when she walked out of the room, Jiang Jingyu had already disappeared.

"How can this kid last until noon just by drinking milk?"

Mother Jiang grumbled and decided to make some lunch boxes for Jiang Jingyu starting tomorrow so that she could eat them during breaks whenever she felt hungry.

Jiang Jingyu ran downstairs with her schoolbag in hand. As soon as she walked out of the unit door, she saw a familiar figure.

"Brother Si Yan? Why are you here?"

Fang Siyan was sitting astride a mountain bike and turned his head when he heard Jiang Jingyu's voice.

"Wait for you."
