Upon hearing Bo Jingxi's question, Rong Xu thought to herself: Sure enough, Bo Jingxi has some feelings for Lu Qingyan.
Bo Jingxi didn't think too much about it. He had doted on Lu Qingyan like a younger sister for so many years. When he suddenly learned that she had lost contact, he was anxious and worried, so he didn't restrain his tone of voice.
Lu Qingyan grew up in China, under Uncle Rong's care. She was very well-behaved when she was little, and she won't do anything rebellious or outrageous now that she's grown up.
What exactly happened that caused her to lose all contact with others?
Bo Jingxi asked, "Uncle Rong, have you called the police yet?"
"Not yet." Rong Xu pinched his brow bone.
"Uncle Rong, please call the police quickly. I'll be right back." Bo Jingxi said, then hung up the phone. Just as he was about to book tickets, Lu Qingyan called: "Brother Bo."
Lu Qingyan called out from the other side, and then I heard her visibly relieved.
Bo Jingxi scolded her angrily: "Lu Qingyan, do you know how worried I was when I couldn't reach you just now? What happened that made you quarrel with Uncle Rong? He raised you all by himself and still hasn't gotten married. He has sacrificed so much for you. Can't you be a little more tolerant of him?"
Lu Qingyan listened quietly. Yes, everything Bo Jingxi said was true. Rong Xu had done so much for her; she really shouldn't get anything more from him.
Offering herself in marriage was clearly an act of repaying a debt of gratitude, but since he resisted so much, let's just forget about it.
"Xiaoyan, are you listening?" After not hearing Lu Qingyan's voice for a long time, Bo Jingxi became anxious, afraid that he had said something harsh to hurt her.
"I'm fine," Lu Qingyan said, her voice a little hoarse, perhaps because she had cried a lot in the past two days.
"Are you sick?" Bo Jingxi asked worriedly.
"It's nothing, just a dry throat. Drinking more water will help." Lu Qingyan replied earnestly, "Brother Bo, I remember everything you said. It was my fault; I shouldn't have argued with Uncle Rong. Don't tell him about me. I'll be back in a couple of days."
"Can't we go back now? Uncle Rong is very worried about you." Bo Jingxi didn't realize that he had completely betrayed Rong Xu with just one sentence.
Lu Qingyan's hand holding the phone trembled slightly before she said, "Brother Bo, Uncle Rong and I will resolve our issues. If he insists on asking you about me, just tell him I'm fine, but I won't be going back in the next couple of days."
It won't just be these last two days; it will last at least half a month.
Lu Qingyan mentally estimated the time.
"What exactly happened?" Bo Jingxi asked. Rong Xu didn't tell him, so he went over to ask Lu Qingyan instead.
"It's nothing, just some unpleasant things," Lu Qingyan said, only briefly mentioning it without going into details.
"Brother Bo, you're quite busy over there, don't let my little things interfere with your work," Lu Qingyan said finally.
“Okay, I’m not worried.” Bo Jingxi hung up the phone on the other end.
Lu Qingyan put down her phone, leaned against the wall for a while, and then went to the kitchen to cook.
At first, they didn't want to eat anything, but even though it's only been less than a day, they seem to be a little hungry again. This time, Lu Qingyan didn't cook, but stir-fried a sour dish and a spicy dish, and they ate them all.
