Su Han nodded casually in agreement. The daily life of young ladies in ancient times was really boring. Apart from reading, embroidery and other activities indoors, they would at most stroll in the garden. It was really dull and uninteresting.
The left side room was the small study in Su Han's courtyard. Yunyi curtsied in response and walked towards the large bookshelf.
When Su Xiangxue was learning to read and write, Yunyi and Luyi were fortunate enough to listen in. They didn't learn the more advanced words, but they did recognize quite a few characters. Therefore, they could still help Su Han find a travelogue.
As soon as Yunyi moved, Lüyi stepped forward with a tea tray, replaced the tea with a fresh cup for her master, and then stood respectfully to the side with her head bowed.
These days, Green Robe has been much more well-behaved, but Su Han has never believed that she would become loyal.
Su Han took the teacup, lifted the lid, and habitually skimmed off the tea leaves.
As steam rose and the aroma of tea filled the air, she took a small sniff, but her hand paused almost imperceptibly.
The medicine in that cup was indeed well hidden; I didn't even notice anything unusual.
However, some unknown deity threw two large red "warning" signs onto the teacup, and Su Han knew there was something wrong with the tea.
Rather than trusting the person in green, Su Han preferred to believe the unknown person.
Su Han turned her head and glanced at the green-clad woman with her head down. The corners of her delicate lips curled up slightly, her expression a half-smile. Then she casually instructed, "Green Branch, go and add some incense to the stove."
Ever since Green Robe picked up the tea tray, her heart had been pounding in her chest. After serving her mistress fresh tea, she stood quietly to the side, outwardly calm, but inwardly her heart was pounding wildly, and her hands, hanging in front of her, were trembling slightly with nervousness.
She silently covered her right hand with her left, gripping it tightly, trying to suppress her nervousness and relax as much as possible, while secretly glancing at her master who had lifted the lid of the teacup out of the corner of her eye.
Drink it quickly, and you'll succeed.
Thinking of the incredibly tempting exchange, Green Robe's heart calmed down instantly, her right hand clenched into a fist, and her gaze gradually became serious.
The Eighth Miss leaned back on the soft couch, her fair face, as white as jade, bathed in golden sunlight amidst the rising steam carrying the aroma of tea. She looked almost unreal, causing the green-clad woman's eyes to darken.
Miss Ba is so beautiful and of such high birth, so naturally everything about her is good. On the other hand, I don't even have a free person, so naturally I have to go to great lengths to plan for myself.
Who would want their children to be slaves in the future? Who wouldn't want to be a master? So she's not wrong. If you have to blame someone, blame yourself for getting in the way of the seventh young lady.
The woman in green had a determined look in her eyes. She watched as the Eighth Miss flicked away the tea leaves and brought the rim of the teacup closer to her delicate pink lips.
The woman in green held her breath.
"Green Robe, go and add some spices to the stove," the Eighth Miss suddenly instructed.
The heart that had been in her throat suddenly caught in her throat. The woman in green lowered her eyelids to hide the thoughts in her eyes, bowed respectfully and agreed. Then she lifted her feet and, as usual, took small, quick steps, slowly walking towards the door of the side room, to the incense burner where a faint wisp of smoke was rising.
Su Han glanced indifferently at the green-clad figure's back, then immediately poured the tea in his hand into the porcelain bottle beside him.
This porcelain bottle, originally used by Su Xiangxue, was meant to hold cooled tea and tea dregs. Now that Su Han has poured tea into it, even if someone notices, no one will think anything is wrong.
After all, this is where tea is served.
