Chapter 23 The Sweetness of the Farmhouse Space 2.7

Regardless, Junhan still managed to win over Tian's parents with his many talents. By the time Lu Qingyan returned from her work, Junhan had already become very close with Tian's father.

"Little sister, come here!" Upon seeing Lu Qingyan return, Father Tian called out from the side.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Lu Qingyan rolled up her sleeves and walked towards Tian's father.

The system chimed in, "Master, you're getting more and more rude! You were a socialite in the last world!"

"But my world is all about farming. If I were to suddenly produce some money for the Tian family, it would be doing them a disservice. Money is the easiest thing for people to be envious of. All I can do is use the spiritual spring water to nourish the crops and livestock so that the Tian family can have a better life." Lu Qingyan helplessly shrugged in her heart.

"Putting everything else aside, just look at how little the Tian family has now; some people in the village are already starting to resent it."

"Ah, the human heart!" the system sighed dramatically, then asked, "But aren't there some people in the village happy for the Tian family too?"

Lu Qingyan stopped talking to the system; anyway, she saw that there were more people who were jealous.

"Dad called you over to discuss giving this young man a name. He's forgotten his own name, so we can't keep calling him 'Hey, hey, hey' all the time, can we?"

Lu Qingyan nodded repeatedly: "Father, you are right."

“You learned a few words from your brother, which is why I’m telling you this. I didn’t choose a good name for him. I just wanted him to be strong and capable, to work hard and earn money to support the family, so I named him that. So he…” Father Tian glanced at Junhan, who was still eating, and silently turned his head away.

This young man has an enormous appetite. If his family hadn't saved up some grain over the past few years, these few meals would have bankrupted them.

“Dad, it’s just a name. My brother’s name is Dali, so let’s just call him Dazhu.” Lu Qingyan made the decision.

Dazhu, isn't that just a big pig? If it weren't for the fact that most of the names in Tianjia Village are quite normal, she actually wanted to call him Junhan Gousheng.

"This..." Father Tian asked Junhan, "Do you think this name is alright?"

Jun Han looked up at Lu Qingyan, then lowered his head shyly: "It's fine."

Father Tian smiled, his eyes narrowed.

Jun Han truly lived up to his reputation as a general. Despite suffering such a severe injury that would have taken others a month or two to recover, Jun Han only lay in bed for less than ten days before getting back to work.

With Junhan's help, the farmers' parents had a much easier time that spring, and suddenly felt that raising another person wasn't so bad.

Of course, Lu Qingyan felt the most relaxed.

Summer, autumn, winter—the days passed by just like that.

Others, seeing the addition of a handsome young man to the Tian family, felt envious; those with daughters even sent matchmakers to propose marriages to Junhan. However, all of this was thwarted by Junhan's obliviousness to romance.

They want to marry Jun Han, but they don't want to marry a blockhead and neglect their daughter, do they?

As the year draws to a close, the farmers begin to talk about their eldest son. Although they receive letters every month throughout the year, nothing compares to the excitement of seeing him in person.

It snowed that day. Lu Qingyan was sweeping the snow in front of the house with a big broom when she saw the figures of a person and a horse getting closer and closer in the distance.

"Little sister!" Even though they were far apart, a voice came from the other side.

Lu Qingyan called out into the house, "Father, Mother, Big Brother is back!" and walked towards Tian Dali step by step. Seeing her younger sister's slightly grown-up appearance, her heart softened.

Suddenly, another handsome man's face appeared before him, and he said loudly, "Hello, big brother."

Tian Dali was immediately terrified. Could this be his brother-in-law?

Before Tian Dali could even ask for clarification, his mother came over and pulled him inside, saying, "Come on, let's go inside and talk. It's so cold outside."
