Chapter 25 The Sweetness of the Farmhouse Space 2.9

As darkness fell and people grew increasingly sleepy, Lu Qingyan no longer wanted to stay up all night. At the dinner table, Tian Dali and Jun Han were still secretly competing, but before long, Tian Dali collapsed.

Before passing out, Tian Dali's last thought was: This kid has a good alcohol tolerance, how come he's not drunk yet?

Jun Han, who had knocked Tian Dali down, smiled shyly at Lu Qingyan, giving her goosebumps.

He's the male lead, can he please stop laughing in such a creepy way?

"Brother Dazhu, could you please help my brother back to his room? I'll tidy up the room a bit."

"Okay." Jun Han replied and left with Tian Dali.

The room was indeed a bit messy, with food, wine, and used bowls and chopsticks scattered haphazardly on the table. Lu Qingyan quickly tidied up and then went to rest.

The next day, the family unsurprisingly overslept. Fortunately, the Tian family didn't have many relatives; most were just neighbors with the same surname. Otherwise, they would have become a laughing stock.

After regaining his senses, Tian Dali went to his father and told him about his decision.

"What? You want to study abroad?" Tianfu was taken aback and immediately objected, "I disagree! Do you think you can just decide something this big? Have you thought about your sister, your mother, or even your father?"

The repeated questions pounded on Tian Dali's heart. After thinking for a moment, he gritted his teeth and said, "Father, I must go. My little sister is being taken care of by Dazhu now—"

"Dazhu is Dazhu, and you are you. You are my little sister's own brother. How could you just entrust him to someone else like that?"

“But Dazhu is a really good person,” Tian Dali said. Even if he didn’t want to admit it, he had to admit that Dazhu was an extremely capable man. His talent was comparable to his own, but he knew more about martial arts. With his combined literary and martial skills, he would definitely be able to provide a good life for his sister.

"What good is it if he's so good? He still doesn't remember anything!" Tianfu pointed at Tian Dali's nose and berated him, "You heartless bastard! How much suffering has your sister endured for you? How much extra work has she done for you around the house? And you just casually entrust her to someone else? Yes, I admit that Dazhu is a good guy, but you know he doesn't remember anything. What if he's already married? Do you want your sister to become someone's mistress?"

"Dad, please don't misunderstand, I absolutely didn't mean that!" Tian Dali pleaded, wishing he could bite off his own tongue. He clearly hated that brat Dazhu so much, yet at this moment he seemed possessed, wanting to tell him about his sister.

Ahem, stop! We can't have such thoughts. A fairy-like woman like my sister deserves the best man in the world.

"Dad, I came to see you because I want to talk to you about something." Tian Dali was afraid that his father would hold a grudge about what happened earlier, so he quickly explained his purpose.

“I wanted to study abroad, but I also know our family’s situation, so I thought I’d have my parents take my younger sister to the capital to make a living.”

"No, no!" Father Tian waved his hands repeatedly. "The capital city is not a place for an old man like me. You shouldn't try to persuade me."

"father……"

"Dali, your father is right." Tian's mother walked in at some point and gave her son a reproachful look.

"Kyoto is a place where every inch of land is precious. Have you thought about where we'll stay, what we'll eat, and what we'll drink?"

"Of course, my son was prepared long ago," Tian Dali said, puffing out his chest proudly.
